My feelings about the book kept changing all the way from beginning till end. The start was promising, till 50% pace was fine, tick tick tick things happened, and then pusss.. till 75% it felt flat as things played out weirdly, after 75% it started speeding up and wrapped up so much in last 20%.
Sabeen, daughter of a limestone carver, well loved by parents, is tired of living life in poverty, and has her own insecurities, dreams. It's a story about her, her attempts to get a more fulfilling life, money and everything which her parents hadn't bought to her, it's her journey, to fulfill those things the steps she takes and trips she face, to get everything and still....
plus points
+ I loved the writing style, simple words, phrases and close to life still beautiful.
+ Use of symbolism done right!
+ Realistic
minus points
- character introductions were not prioritized acc. to main leads, I was lost for long time as in who are the mains and who are sides.
- Main events in story had less time spent on, and other things took greater chunk of time.
- some unnecessary backgrounds and backstories of people which served no purpose.
- Flaws in the flow of story, it was haphazard at certain points, rushed and details skipped.
It's still made a nice read, go for it if you're into these genres and themes...

"شام رنگ سیاہ" نام میں چھپی پوری داستان۔ہر شام جو انسان کو سیاہ لگے اور وہ اِسے رنگوں سے بھرنے کے لیے کچھ بھی کرنے کو تیار ہوجائے تو زندگی اِنسان کو کہاں لا کھڑاکرتی ہے؟
حقیقت کے قریب تر کہانی جو بہت کچھ سوچنے پر مجبور کرتی ہے،معاشرے میں موجود اُن مجبور لوگوں کی کہانی جن پر کبھی ہمارا دھیان ہی نہیں جاتا۔چونے سے شروع ہوئی کہانی چونے پر ختم ہوتی ہے۔نفرت سے محبت اور محبت سے سمجھوتے تک کا یہ سفر آسان نہیں ہوتا۔ہر انسان اپنے اندر غم لیے گھوم رہا ہے اور اُن غموں کو مٹانے کی کوشش میں کارفرما ہے۔مٹاتا کیسے ہے یہ اُس پر منحصر ہے۔سورج کو دیوتا مان لیتا ہے یا واحد خالق پر یقین رکھتا ہے؟
نئی اور منفرد کہانی،ہر کردار کی اپنی کہانی جو کہیں نہ کہیں جڑ جاتی ہے۔"الماس" جیسے انسان جو چاہیں وہ بن جائیں۔نیک یا بد۔فیصلہ اُن کا۔
Now,heart to heart😙.Story is new and you now I fell instantly for new stories.I don’t care if they are good or not.I just want to read new stories (kahanian)yk.
Okay so basically this is social romantic novel with little bit suspense,mystery vibes.
A girl from lower class,start to question her parent’s job,preferences?She start blaming them and then the things she did are all because of that.
Their are alot of characters and all have stories which are really well explained with past(which I didn’t enjoy though ) but all story revolves around "Sabeen" even "Meeran(mmc)" didn’t give me the vibe from very start🥲.
Then there are twists and turns and I really enjoyed them but at some points those double meaning jokes really not worked for me.I really don’t care about few things but those jokes didn’t go well for me.
Overall Story was good,first few pages were bit slow but then it has really good pace.Enjoyed it.Sabeen’s and her father scenes are so beautifully written ✨🤌🏻Loved them.They both are highlight of the story.

Again feeling toxic again but no worries.I liked it,will reccomend it but it’s not for everyone.You guys should prepare yourself for all this stuff.

شام رنگ سیاہ ایمل رضا کا ایک سوشل رومینٹک ناول ہے۔کافی عرصے سے ان کے ناول پیال ساز کا چرچا Booksta پر سن رہی تھی، تو سوچا کیوں نہ شام رنگ سیاہ سے آغاز کروں۔ اور پھر بس، پڑھنا شروع کیا تو خود کو روک ہی نہ سکی۔
کہانی کی بات کریں تو یہ کہانی ہے سبین کی، جو ایک غریب گھرانے سے تعلق رکھتی ہے۔ اس کا باپ چونے کا کام کرتا ہے، اور یہی کام سبین کو شدید نفرت دلاتا ہے۔ وہ غریبی سے نکلنا چاہتی ہے، خواب دیکھتی ہے، خواہشات رکھتی ہے، لیکن غربت جیسے اس کی جان نہیں چھوڑتی۔ پھر وہ غلط راستہ چنتی ہے، اسمگلنگ جیسا غیر قانونی کام۔
دوسری طرف میران کا کردار ہے، جس کی ماں ذہنی بیماری کا شکار ہے، اور باپ کا کوئی سراغ نہیں۔ میران کی پوری زندگی ایک کرب میں گزرتی ہے،وہ ماں کا علاج کروانا چاہتا ہے، ایک نارمل زندگی جینا چاہتا ہے، لیکن ایسا کبھی ہو ہی نہیں پاتا۔
سبین اور میران پہلے پاکستان میں ایک بار اچانک ملتے ہیں، پھر جب سبین اسمگلنگ کے دوران بیرونِ ملک پہنچتی ہے تو دوبارہ ملاقات ہوتی ہے، اور پھر محبت ہو جاتی ہے۔ دونوں مستقبل کے خواب بُنتے ہیں، لیکن سبین کی غلطیاں ان کی خوشیوں کو نگل لیتی ہیں۔
ربیکا، پیٹرسن، عیسیٰ، دائنا، حائک جیسے کرداروں کی کہانی کو بھی بہت خوبصورتی سے بیان کیا گیا ہے، ایک مکمل کینوس بنتا ہے۔
اس کہانی کے ذریعے مصنفہ یہ پیغام دینا چاہتی ہیں کہ خواہشات کی اندھی دوڑ میں اگر صحیح غلط کی پہچان ختم ہو جائے، تو انجام ہمیشہ تباہی ہوتا ہے۔
My Thoughts:-
⭐سسپنس کمال تھا، ایک پل کے لیے بور ہونے کا موقع نہیں دیا۔
⭐زبان اور اسلوب دل کو چھو لینے والے، کچھ جملے سیدھے دل پر جا لگتے ہیں۔
⭐کچھ باتوں سے مجھے مصنفہ سے اختلاف بھی ہوا، لیکن اس کے باوجود یہ میری فیورٹ ریڈز میں شامل ہے۔

I don't know what to say ku ke itnu zayada emotions hai is waqt mere andar ke mai comprehend hi nai kar par rhi hn. Roi bhi hn (but woh happy rears thy) us last specific scene ko parh ke like mai imagine nahi kiya tha or bohat sudden tha mjhe umeed hi nai thi....wese is mai 2, 3 cheezon ne heartbreak diya hai....lekin aik cheez clear hai...mai is kitab ko kabhi nahi bhoolon gi. It's my bestest read. Is kitab ke andar har woh cheez hai jo ap kisi achi kitab mai parhna chahein gy except love story kiun ke aik to woh bohat kam hai or jo hai woh cringe hai. Har character ka apna hissa hi or usko itny achy se likha gya hai chahein woh Sabeen ho, Rabeeca, Eesa, Adam Rahil ya Meeran. Everyone has done their part.
Or agar book ki theme ki baat karein to mai ne yh jana hai ke har shay is dunya mai kory Choony ki trhan ab chahy ap usko almas brada bnaty ho (diamond dust) ya phr brada (dust/faltu choora)
And yes i highly highly recommend this to everyone Har kisi ko parhna chahiyay
