Two world’s collided, igniting forbidden passion like no other.

Can a marriage survive manipulation and lies?

She was hellbent on making her father disown her. Her rebellious attitude and the color that marred her snowflake skin was proof of that, so I used that knowledge to my benefit.

I promised her hate and blood. Instead, what she got was my heart and a weak man on his knees in front of her.

She was never supposed to be my bride or my anything. She was the daughter of a rival family, not even of Italian descent. She was from a completely different culture.

Sasha Nikolayev was my vice. I was an addict for her. I would have said and done anything to chain her to me—so that’s what I did.

*** This is book 2 in The New American Mafia series. Please read BAD PRINCESS first. This book is a different couple but the series is interconnected.

I really hate that Dark Prince didn't completely work for me, especially since I adored Sienna and Matteo's book, Bad Princess. And if asked I couldn't pinpoint why Ren, Sasha, and I didn't gel. Something was just missing and the chemistry wasn't there.

I think part of my issue was the back and forth between Si and Sasha was NON stop. It was frustrating and ruled the pages. There was more tension between these two females than there was between Ren and his girl. Everything but Ren And Sasha's relationship/interactions stole the show. Our MCs blended into the background. Sadly, I skimmed most of their parts and kept reading for Si, Matteo, Brooklyn, and Dom. I wanted all things secondary. Those were the moments that shined, for me anyway.

Speaking of secondary, I'm all things Domino!! Lord. Have. Mercy. I need that man STAT!! Holy hell he was deliciously dark.

I hope if you decide to read Dark Prince you have a better read than I did.

He’s the Dark Prince👑

Dark Prince is the next book in the much anticipated series The New American Mafia by N.E. Henderson😍

I absolutely loved the first book in this series and this one was no different❣️Dark Prince is about Ren aka Lorenzo and Sasha but had POV from most of the main characters which I find unique but also gives an overall story from different perspectives and a better look into the psyche of each person🙃 At the end of the first book we had a couple bombs drop at the end and the second book is full of surprises as well😱

I loved these characters, they are sassy, violent and charming in a good way which makes this story entertaining and fast paced but even more enjoyable as there is depth to the characters in a way I could’ve never foreseen in the first book😉

I’m hanging on the edge of my seat for the next book🤩 I received an advanced copy and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️

I'm going to keep this review short & sweet because there's so much going on with this story that I don't want to accidentally give anything away. Dark Prince is very original as this author actually did it from multiple POVs despite the fact that it's about Ren & Sasha's secret marriage that came out to surprise everyone. Obviously as it's mafia, there are a lot of moving parts so there were many things going on. Ren & Sasha really are like oil & water, and yet the fighting is how they get the super sexy times moving along LOL! And man are they fire together with all their explosive interactions going on. This means there's heat in spades, but it's the twists that are coming in hot that really got my heart rate going with the kicker of action. I can honestly say that I'm all in with this series, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Dark Prince is the second book in the series and Bad Princess must be read first where you will meet all the characters. A secret marriage between Lorenzo and Sasha was revealed at the end of book one. The relationship they have is complicated to say the least. Their verbal sparring is like foreplay for these two, an undercurrent of simmering anger seems to always be present. I got whiplash trying to keep up however there is no denying their passion love and commitment.

The story is told from multiple points of view which I liked. Learning more about the history of the Pakhan and the Boss gives a better perspective of the history between the two families. I loved catching up with Sienna and Matteo to see how they were adapting to their new life. There are several story arcs going at once but I found it easy to follow along. I loved all the twists that gave closure to some aspects of the storyline and opened up others for the Domenico's books which is sure to shake things up.

This is Sasha and Ren’s story. It can’t be told without the POV of the other characters. Their secret marriage caused a ripple through two families. The anger and hurt was deep. As the maneuver through their messy relationship, they have to deal with his family and her family dynamics. They live each other but Sasha has a deadly secret. Danger is every where.
It took a while for me to get into Sasha’s character. I love that she is tough, independent, and can hold her own mentally as well as physically with the men in her life. Until I realized why she was behaving she was a hard character to like. She is jealous and possessive of Ren even when she is pushing him away.
These two were a bit psycho, but perfect for each other. The was plenty of great banter, and steam.
Looking forward to the next chapter in this series.

This is book two in the series and you need to read Bad Princess first before reading this one to get the full experience.
I loved that this book is told from multiple POV's. We get to see what going on with Sienna, Matteo, Brooklyn, and Antonio from the first book now we learn more about Sasha, Lorenzo, Domenico along with many others and the dynamics between the families. Yes the families are dysfunctional but loving in their own twisted crazy way then add in the insanity of the inner workings of the mafia and everything in between and you don't know if you want to love them hate them or strangle them.
There are twist, turns, betrayals, steamy sex, murder, secrets, lies mayhem, family drama and nefarious attentions and the intrigue of what's going to come next. Who will survive when it's all said and done?
This book is phenomenal, raw, gritty, intense, dangerous, dark, dirty, devious, depraved and bloody and the ending has me scratching my head saying WTH is Antonio up to now?!?! I can't wait to see what happens next in Deviant Knight.

I received a free ARC an I'm voluntarily leaving my review.

Five beautiful intense ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of my top reads of 2022!!!

Dark Prince is the story of Lorenzo 'Ren' D'Angelo Caputo and his wife Sasha 'Snowflake' Nikolayev. Make sure to read Bad Princess before this one!!

This story is a hell of a ride!! It is full of drama and twists and turns you wont see coming. And its told in multiple POV, not just the main couple, and I personally love it!

Ren and Sasha are perfect for each other and llve each other with everything they have. I couldnt put this book down, I had to read it in one sitting.

NE Henderson can't write a bad book. Every single book by this author is always a five star read for me and is a permanent in my top favorite authors! Go read this book!!!

Book 2 is a good book. However I didn't like Sasha very much until at least half way. Her daddy issues did a huge number on her, and she takes it out on the man she days she loves the most in the world. But these MMC's in these books are strong and take no prisoners. Which is why I love these books!

Must read!

Given how long N.E. Henderson had me waiting for Dark Prince’s release, it can be said that this book was honestly, completely and irrevocably worth it 1 billion % in the end!
Making this the second book from The New American Mafia as being my Top Fav Read but of 2022!

After having read Bad Princess and the way it sorted ended on a cliffhanger. It had me dying to read Ren’s story ASAP to find out how it would play out.
Although Dark Prince is Lorenzo ‘Ren’ D’Angelo Caputo and his wife Sasha ‘Snowflake’ Nikolayev’s story. The narrative consisted of being told through multiple POVs, including Ren and Sasha’s alongside their families with their stories being somewhat told too. Ultimately all turning into one with the connections linking them together.

Ren and Sasha’s story was definitely a wild one, given the journey they are thrust upon from the results of their secret marriage being brought to light in front of their families. It’s ultimately the force that drives behind following the hectic rollercoaster ride that was their life. Given the twists, turns, drops and loops they adventure through in the forms the continuation of shocking and surprising revelations publicised, drama ensuing from the said revelations and entanglement of family hatred. Along with mysteries in the form of secrets from the past coming to front, causing the build up of suspense since it lead to some angsty moment. All taking place within this emotionally charged at times, action-packed thriller that is Dark Prince.
And that wasn't even including what was going on with Tony, Dom, Sienna, Matteo De Salvo (Sienna’s fiancé), Krishna Nikolayev (Sasha’s older brother) and Mischa Nikolayev (Sasha’s father), given that we were able to step into their lives too with seeing their personal thoughts, feelings and opinions through their perspectives that were included here and there throughout.

It should be noted despite the storyline being told through multiple perspectives, N.E. Henderson always made the narrative well known. Being able to follow along with the smooth and seamless flow, while being clear and compact as can be given everything that was going on. And making sure never to fully take the spotlight away from Ren and Sasha, since regardless of what happened it all connected back to them in some way, shape or form. As they were the main main characters, with it being ultimately their story.

Sasha was definitely similar to Sienna when it came to being a badass, strong and fierce independent woman. However when it came to family ties and the business, she steered clear of it all. Wanting to get out of her father Mischa’s thumb, with whom she didn’t share a loving relationship. Unlike her brother Krishna, who she shared a fairly good relationship with. It’s what led her to be the way she was when it came to love and preferring to be on her own and live her life the way she wanted.
While it did lead me to feel sorry for her at times, given what she was going through and endured when it came to her past with the secrets she was hiding. As well as willing to sacrifice her happiness to protect Ren, who she truly did care for even though she hid it from him and everyone else.
It didn't stop her from being my least favourite character, having disliked her a lot of the time throughout.
#TEAMSIENNA ALL THE WAY! #SorryNotSorry

As for Ren, he had been somewhat of an enigma to me in the beginning. But within Dark Prince, his layers were finally peeled back in showing exactly who he was when it came to the type of person he was. And that was a strong, fierce, overly protective, loving and caring guy. Especially when it came to his family and Sasha.
Considering having betrayed his family, the ones he claimed to love so much, you could still see how badly it was hurting him in doing that. Especially when it came to his twin sister Sienna. Though he definitely deserved to have been punished big time for doing that.

Make no mistake Ren and Sasha shared an explosive chemistry together. While it may not have been much of the touchy feely side, then again that wasn’t really the type of couple they were. Given that throughout neither really ever showed much of a soft or mushy emotional side, something that was understandably so seeing as how their marriage came about leading to the constant hot and cold behaviour towards one another with their back and forth.
However what they lacked in that department they made up for it when it came to getting down and dirty. Given the Raunchy, Red-Hot, Spicy Fire they brought in their Steamy AF moments together.

SHOUT OUT to Brooklyn has to be said.
That little girl was ABSO-FREAKIN’-LUTELY adorable! Regardless of Brooklyn not being Sienna’s daughter, she still ended up being a mini me of her (Sienna) at times. The attitude on top of the fierce and sassiness she brought when it came to talking back and putting people in their place had me cracking her.
That little princess deserves her own book for sure!

N.E. Henderson absolutely killed it yet again!
Dark Prince was just that damn AMAZING and INCREDIBLE, having me gripped on tight all throughout. And given that cliffhanger ending, it has me wanting to read Domenico’s story in Deviant Knight ASAP!
If there was EVER a Mafia series to recommend checking out The New American Mafia series would be it! You will not regret it!

I couldn't get over my dislike for Sasha so it kinda ruined the book. I loved the first book. That book showed what a strong female character should look like. Sasha-not so much. She's toxic, selfish and childish. She and Ren are just toxic together. I did enjoy the POV from the other characters, it's what kept me from DNF the book. Looking forward to Dom's book.

Even though I liked the first book so much, I never clicked with the MC in this book. I was more interested in the POV of the other characters than the MC. The h is terribly irritating, super whiny, childish, everything she tantrums about and in an attempt to "I'm super strong and independent" everything seems like a pointless over reaction. H according to teh book and the previous one is super close to his siblings and they have all the trust in the world, but no one knows he had a relationship with h since high school...

h&H have been in love since high school, but H belongs to the Italian mafia and h to the Russian bratva. Time goes by and they get married and keep the secret for 2 years until h's dad decides to take her to H's house and there it is uncovered that the MC's dads knew all along. However, the siblings of neither knew this and the h the H's sister are bitter enemies. One thing I liked about the book is that they never became friends, they start to have a more cordial relationship because of H but the author doesn't force that amisty.
I liked reading the POV of several characters in the book, that gave it a different feel and that's why I stayed reading. I found the drama of the MC boring and not interesting at all
.
I will definitely read the next book, but I'm more interested to know about the other characters.

Lorenzo and Sasha’s relationship was more interesting than Sienna and Matteo’s but it still left so many gaps that made no sense. What was running off going to solve why did they get married in the first place? Ren knew their parents didn’t hate each other and that was how he manipulated Sasha or it was something else? Also she worked as a stripper but only ever in a private room and only ever for the same man she saw from the waist down but didn’t know it was Ren? Also again Sasha and Sienna are doing crazy shit while they’re pregnant. Dom was beating the shit out of her? I bet the secret is that Matteo is G’s kid and I have a bad feeling that Toni is going to die in this book and that makes me so sad. Brooklyn is the only character that makes sense in these books lol I’m absolutely seeing this series through and if you aren’t someone who feels like they need to connect all the tiny dots in a story and you can ignore incongruities then this book would be amazing for you!! Also I can never tell how long time passes in these books. Literally one chapter we see Sasha downing a bunch of alcohol and the next Ren is telling Sienna Sasha’s pregnant. Like how much time passed between those she’s just downing whiskey while she’s pregnant??

This story is dark, it's hot, its bloody but one that was worth the wait, an intense gritty story told in multiple POVs, making this a wild ride, so hold on tight to your device and come on this unique mafia journey.

Sasha and Ren are going to probably be a completely different type of couple that you have read before, there is doubt that the chemistry is strong and that they are meant to be but they are such individual people as well, they don't have to be lovey-dovey all the time, for you to know that their bond is strong, it has taken them a few years to get where they are, from an early age Sasha's father had set in motion an arranged marriage with a Devil named by Dimitri and believe me he is a vile man, this is the mafia way of at all, but Sasha has been in love with Ren since third grade, Sasha sees him as light and dark but never evil. Ren had hatched a plan to prevent this and now 2 years later their life is as volatile as ever, but who will come out the winner.

The multiple POV takes some getting used to but I think it works brilliantly for this book and this series.

N.E. Henderson is a new-to-me author. I took a chance on this book, which is nothing new. I’ve found many new favorite authors this way. Some you connect with their writing. Some you don’t. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel like I connected with this author’s. It’s hard to put my finger on why I didn’t. Maybe I’m too deep into another mafia romance world, and this one is very different. I couldn’t find substantial plot holes or even lousy writing to blame. The story was mostly entertaining, although I found myself skimming occasionally. If you like the grittier mafia romances, you’re probably going to like this book more than I did. And if you decide to dive in and give it a chance, you might want to read the first book in the series before reading this one to better understand the storyline and all of the characters. I didn’t and was still able to follow along for the most part. There was just enough backstory to fill in most of the blanks without being a huge information dump. And honestly, if you read this review and decide to read this series despite my lack of enthusiasm, I hope you love it.

Having read Bad Princess i couldn't wait to pick up more of Ms.Henderson's work! I was definitely curious about this second installment and started looking forward to it right away. I picked it up as soon as i could and got back into The New American Mafia world. I enjoyed this second book!

Lorenzo and Sasha's journey got my attention quickly. I was glad to be back in this world! I wasn't sure what all to expect with this couple and i so enjoyed how both characters had me feeling so much throughout. I enjoyed the heat between them and getting to see how things would play out.

I really loved what all of the characters brought to the story and that i got dig deeper with them as well as get more into this world.

With Dark Prince, Ms.Henderson has created such a good and dark read that will keep you on your toes! Start with Bad Princess and then jump back in with Dark Prince! I am so looking forward to diving back into this world with the third installment, Deviant Knight!

The continuation of this series just gets better and better. One thing you can count on in this series is the explosive chemistry between the couples. I love all the different point of views we get in this book to see motives and thoughts of everyone since there is so much going on. So much happens and you see how all the kids start to fit into the roles they will take in Bratva and Italian mafia.

This book really shows the whole history of Sasha and Ren and how their relationship progresses after the cat is out of the bag. Sasha pushes people away so much and it really grated on my nerves. Having all the other point of views helped me enjoy the book because Sasha thinking she needs to do everything by herself and not trusting anyone to help her or confide in drove me a little crazy.

But overall this was a great addition to the story to see more of what was happening in their world. There were so many developments, the growing of relationships, new discoveries and more that was addictive.

I was very iffy about reading this book. I was very close to skipping it and going right in to Domenico's book. I wasn't sure if the story would pick up where book 1 left off or if we were going to get the past up to the present for Sasha and Ren. I can definitely say I am beyond happy I read this book. I love seeing all of the POVs and getting this well rounded storyline. Everyone has their own plotline and then you have the bigger story going on in the background. I think my only complaint about this book is that you don't get any resolution about the wedding ring that Ren bought Sasha and the events that led to her finally putting it on her finger. There was the dialogue about Ren's feelings about it but nothing comes of it which to me is a little disappointing and a missed opportunity to kind of bring Sasha and Ren closer. But overall, I am happy. There is a mild cliffy.. I did expect something a little more intense/jaw dropping but ehhh. Time for book 3!

Ren and Sasha’s story was WILD! This story is told from multiple POV, even those outside of the main couple, which I loved. There was so much good drama and intrigue. I normally don’t love thriller romances because it typically lacks in either the thriller department or romance department, but this book really hit the mark on all points.

My favorite part was that Ren and Sasha loved each other so fiercely, but yet weren’t overly touchy or sentimental. I think often romance writers make every couple a “can’t help but touch her” couple and not everyone is like that. Some couple’s love languages look different and it’s refreshing have a couple you know is end game, but aren’t sitting on each other’s laps or making out everywhere they go.

This was a really good book from start to finish and I highly recommend!

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I loved the first book so when I saw the second one, I jumped at the chance to read this story! Ren and Sasha are two crazy people but I love them so much. They are definitely meant for each other, even if it took them years to realize that.

I love that this book had many different viewpoints we were able to read and understand. And not just the siblings, but even more characters you wouldn't think would get their own chapter or two.

I HIGHLY recommend that you read book 1 before reading this one. It's been awhile since I read Matteo and Sienna's story and I even felt a bit lost when I first started reading. I think a reread is in order before book 3 :)

I am so glad I discovered this series and author and I am definitely excited to see what happens for Dom!

We met this family before when Sienna and Matteo got together. We knew her twin, Lorenzo, was married to Sasha secretly but not how that really came about. It’s an odd relationship as Sasha and Lorenzo say they are in love but have so much animosity towards each other. Coming from two different mafia families will do that. This is a pretty hard core book, the women are hardened and tough, the men are killers and yet there’s a underlying love for family. The story is broken into multiple points of view from the Pakhan, the Boss, the twins and spouses. It’s a bit overwhelming with all the switching but you get a better view of the story. Parts of this story could be a trigger for some readers, men beating women, the word b..ch thrown around plenty and very aggressive intimate encounters (consensual). My copy came direct from the author and I’ve provided an honest voluntary review.

Dark Prince is book 2 of the “new American mafia” series. This book is Lorenzo and sasha’s story.

After I finished “bad princess” I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series. As soon as Bad Prince landed on my kindle I was immediately sucked into this mafia world that N E Henderson has created. She kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what will happen next.

Although this is Lorenzo and Sasha’s story we do get to see multiple POV’s from other characters in this series. This book is dark, gritty. Raw and delicious. If you like mafia stories full of twists and turns and plenty of spice then I recommend you pick this up right now. I would recommend you read “Bad Princess” before starting this story if you haven’t already so you can get the full backstory of the other characters in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed reading “Bad Prince” and I can’t wait to see what N E Henderson has planned next.

Dark Prince is the first book that I've read by N.E. Henderson and wow! What a book!

Not having read the first book in the The New American Mafia series, I wasn't sure what to expect.

This book was action packed and full of twists and turns that definitely had me turning pages well into the night.

Dark Prince is the story of Lorenzo Caputo and Sasha Nikolayev. Their story starts off a bit differently in this book as they are already married. They decided to get married without their families knowing (a big no no!) and now all hell is breaking loose.

As it's a mafia book, there are definitely some dark elements in this book but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

The only thing that took some getting used to is the multiple points of view. It's not just from Ren and Sash's POVs but also Ren's brother, father and even Sasha's father as well.

Still, I would definitely recommend this book!

This is the first book I've read by this arthur and I can say its not going to be my last.

Even though I went into this story not having read the 1st book in the series it wasn't to hard to follow, but after reading the blurb I knew I wanted to read it. Give me a dirty, gritty, rough around the edges mafia story, because I'll be here for it.

This book was action packed and full of twists and turns that definitely had me turning pages as well as fast paced, emotionally charged, and told in multiple POV’s which I love, it's also filled with twists and turns, and omg the angst that just poured off the pages between Ren and Sasha was just fire.

I loved this book and can't wait to get my hands on the next one.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "DARK PRINCE"
N.E. HENDERSON you did a great job writing this Dark twisted Mafia Romance, with suspense, intrigue, angst, action, secrets, lies, betrayal, steamy scenes, twist that have you turning the pages.
Lorenzo Caputo aka Ren & Sasha Nikolayev aka Snowflake their relationship is rather explosive they take you on one h*ll of a ride so volitile in public but behind closed doors scorching hot.
Sienna is Ren's twin & hates Sasha with a passion because there from rival families both head strong women putting a distance between her & her brother.
I definitely recommend to get this Dark Gritty Twisted Mafia Romance it pack full of twists & turns these characters keep you glued to this story to the end. AWESOME STORY!!!!!

I was definitely curious about this second installment and started looking forward to it right away. The New American Mafia world.
I really loved that this was multiple povs throughout the book. It made you really truly understand what was going on with each person intertwined in this series. This is book two of a series, you absolutely need to read book one to truly understand everything.

". ..secrets don’t stay in the dark where you shove them. Eventually, they find the light at the worst possible time."
Lorenzo and Sasha have an odd and volatile relationship. She was his when only a child. Each year their love grew stronger. They are not your typical couple. Not a touchy feely type of relationship except behind closed doors which sometimes can be a little bloody but their body language tells it all.
Sienna, Lorenzo's twin, and Sasha  cannot stand each other being from two different mafia families which  causes a rift with Lorenzo since both are his world.
The women are tough as nails in this action packed drama and mystery.
