The One for Me is not only my favorite of ‘The Arrowood Brothers’ books, but one of the best friends to lovers books I’ve read. This was a true best friends to lovers story that was emotional, sweet, and completely warmed my heart. Of course it’s a Corinne Michaels book so there was some angst and tears, but by the end it left me with a huge smile on my face.
Devney Maxwell and Sean Arrowood have been the best of friends since they were kids. Time and distance has not and will not ever change that. Now they’re older and Sean is a major league baseball player and Devney’s still in small town Sugarloaf. It’s Sean’s turn to come back to town and he’s determined to show Devney how much he loves her.
Devney and Sean don’t keep secrets, but there is a big one Devney’s been holding onto since college and it’s keeping her in Sugarloaf. I’ll be honest, I did not figure out the secret until a chapter or so before it was reveled but dang, it was a doozy. Either way, Sean doesn’t care. He only wants to be with Devney and will support her no matter what.
My goodness, I loved Sean Arrowood. He is the best friend. So devoted and swoony and just everything. I loved how he loved Devney so much, but she was also his best friend and he respected her and was always there for her no matter what. There were parts of Devney’s story that broke my heart. I felt for her so much and she was incredibly strong. You could just tell these two were made for each other. Made to be more than friends. And I was so happy when they finally both realized it.
I love books that give me all the feels and when they have light hearted and sweet spots, even better. The One for Me is one of my favorite books by Corinne and I truly loved it. This series has been fantastic and this is my favorite so far. I can’t wait to read Jacob’s book next. I don’t know how he could top Sean, but I’m excited to see him try. If you’re looking for a book that’s emotional, heavy at times, but also easy to read and an incredible friends to lovers- pick up The One for Me!

Ahh! This story... AMAZING! I absolutely adore friends to lovers and this one is at the top of the list! Sean is the BEST HERO EVER! I don't think I have ever swooned so hard in my life! He is seriously perfect in every way and stole my heart! And I loved Devney! Life dealt her a crazy hand but she made the best out of the worst situation one could possibly be in. She made mistakes but she owned every one of them and they made her so much stronger. I keep saying no way Corinne can top the last Arrowood brother but she proves me wrong every time!

Standalone Series
Me reading this book was basically just me laughing and being smug from start to finish because I was RIGHT about the plot twists and everything right down to a T. Make of that what you will.
The romance didn’t really hit the mark for me mostly because it’s a best friends to lovers kind, and I just . . . can’t relate. 🤷♀️ I mean, it’s not that you can’t be best buddies with your SO. It’s just that in Sean & Devney’s case, they don’t exactly go through the falling in love stages.
They have the emotional bond, which I know should be the most important. But I wanted to see some . . . you know, butterflies in the stomach, shy smiles and awkward moments. It’s like they just go from friends straight to lovers because they now have the sex to seal the deal.
Sean & Devney’s love story is sort of like the reverse version to Declan & Sydney’s.
That being said, I enjoyed the non-romance part of the story and just the overall angst. Regardless of the fact that the plotline was predictable (to me at least). I also liked the little appearances that the other characters from previous books made in this one.
I’d like to protest, however, on behalf of THE NEPHEW.
He can’t even catch a break. Boy be needing some therapy. 😪
I’m wary about the next (Jacob’s) book. Mostly because he’s a celebrity (not my jam). However, I think the h is a single mom and that means kids (YES!). So I’m still going to read it if only because it also happens to be the last one in the series.

Um. Yeah. She out did herself this time. I say each time but it’s so true FOR REAL this time. Sean is just the perfect guy. He’s literally the dream man. I’m so impressed with this one. I mean, how does the Corinne Michaels, the creator of Liam Dempsey who WAS quite possibly the best lead male character in the history of CM books, top him? I don’t know; but holy damn. She did it. She freaking did it. AND YEAH I SAID IT. Sean Arrowood BEATS Liam Dempsey. ALL DAY, EVERYDAY.
It’s such a lovely book. So many feels; the wit, the dumb smiles I was sporting, the literal eye rolls I’d give, the tears (yes tears), lots of laughter, the swoon, and yes some more tears.
It’s a ride, and in true CM fashion, there’s some surprises in there. Like, you think you know which way this is heading then, NOPE. You don’t.
Bravo! Now excuse me while I read this over and over because, one word. . .SEAN. :)

Kissing him is like that first breath of air in the morning. It’s filled with hope that the day can be great and ushers in the feeling of peace that washes over you.

How do I even begin to put into words how this book made me feel, the emotions it pulled from me page after page... it's difficult because this book NEEDS to be read, it NEEDS to be experienced... Sean NEEDS to be experienced!
Sean and Devney's story had me smiling, laughing, crying and absolutely swooning from beginning to end that I wanted more.....so much more, I didn't want to let them go and definitely didn't want their story to end! Sean knew what he wanted and was prepared to do whatever it took to get her.....Devney Maxwell, his bestfriend. Devney had bigger plans than the small town of Sugarloaf but her past was keeping her from moving on and taking what she truly wanted.....Sean Arrowood. These two would discover that to get what you want you may have to let it go and see if love truly conquers all!
Corinne has given us amazing characters with these Arrowood brothers and each one gets better and better making it hard to choose your favorite. This story doesn't make it impossible to choose, you'll agree that Sean Arrowood is THE ONE FOR ME! Corinne has truly given us an absolutely, breathtakingly beautiful story that is hands down a MUST read and on my Top Reads for 2020!

If you would have told me that there would be a Corinne Michaels leading man that I loved more than Liam (#dreamboat!!) I wouldn't have believed you. But I am bowing down to the queen: Sean is officially number one in my heart. This man is beyond PERFECT. He's sweet yet knows how to push for what he wants, he's sexy without being overbearing, he's proud of his success but he's not an asshole about it, he's an amazing brother, friend and uncle.. I could go on and on. He's just everything you want in a man. And he loves his Devney something fierce -- so much so that he would let her go just to keep her. (Trust me thay will make sense when you read the book.) I can't get over how much I love him. I loved how sure he was of his love for Dev in all forms, from his best friend to the woman of his dreams. He didn't realize just how long he's been in love with her, but as soon as he does, he's a man on a mission to conquer her heart. And all of ours as well.😭😭
Devney is such a strong woman. She's been through her own hell and is struggling like hell to climb her way out of it. She always had dreams bigger than her small town, but now she refuses to leave.. But when Sean shows up, he's determined to get her to see how perfect they would be together, if only she would take the chance and leap. And my god their love is everything we should all strive for.
This wouldn't be a Corinne Michaels book without me crying all the tears, and boy did I ever cry. I guessed Dev's secret pretty early on, but in true CM fashion she threw in a heartbreaking twist that had me sobbing so hard. One thing that I really love about this author is that she makes these characters of hers really come to life, to the point where you feel like they are your best friends or family members. I was so connected to this story, to every single person apart of it, and I can't stress enough when I say that this is her best book yet.
We also see some familiar faces which made me so happy!! I love it when our author connects her books together!
After reading this, I am that much more excited for Jacob's book! We also get to find out who his leading lady is and I just know that book is going to destroy me in the best of ways as well!!
You all don't want to miss out on this book. Have a glass of wine, being tissues, and immerse yourself in all the wondrous aspects of this couple.

There goes Corinne hitting me RIGHT IN THE FEELS...again! The One for Me had everything I love about romance! So much sass and snark, best friends, laughs, and tears! Oh, the tears. You got me.
"I want to be her salvation, not her destruction."
Devney and Sean have been best friends for twenty years. Never did they blur that line. Sean is back in Sugarloaf to help on his family's farm for six months and...it happens. It's blurred! Devney tries to stay strong, never wanting to lose their friendship but she knows she can't stay away.
"She's filled my world with colors that I've never seen before and muted tones aren't what I want to be surrounded with."
You've got love and heart and tragedy and healing in The One for Me. It's swoon-worthy, addicting, and utterly unputdownable. I don't know how I'm going to deal when we get to Jacob's story because they just get better and better!

I can 100% see why Corinne wanted to keep Sean all to herself. He is everything and so much more. This book covers so many tropes that you get a little bit of everything. I love that it wasn’t your typical something huge happened and they leave each other, only to come back months later. Sean fought for his girl and was there for Devney when she needed it most. I’m also loving that every Arrowood boy has their own quote their momma gave them. “Just because you don’t hit the bull’s-eye, it doesn’t mean the other shots don’t count.” Freakin love all the quotes I could pull from it. And so many drop ins or mentions of characters from Corinne’s other books. I mean my gosh I could just go on and on about this book. Everyone needs to pick it up.

Corinne Michaels has absolutely STOLE my heart with this book. It’s meaning and storyline hit you so freaking deep. You will cry so get the tissues ready! It is honestly one of my FAVES for 2020!! The emotion behind this book, the twists and turns - an AMAZING, out of this world romance by Corinne Michaels!

I so loved Sean and Devney's story!! I've read every book that Corinne has written, and there's just something extra special about this one. I think I loved it so much because the relationship between Sean and Deveny has been in place for twenty years. They've been best friends since they were six years old and have always been there for each other through thick and thin. Even after Sean leaves Sugarloaf and becomes a huge baseball star. And now he's back in town, having to stay the six months his father demanded of each of the sons in his will.
I tend to have a love/hate relationship with friend's to lovers romances because as the reader we see the obvious signs way before the characters do that they're in love and I can't wait for them to finally realize it and give in! I want to shake them and make them see it. Well, it didn't happen quite that way in this story and the angst between Sean and Devney was such sweet torture!! I was more than willing to go along for the ride on this one instead of wanting to push the two characters together right away.
As usual, Elphaba, I mean Corinne, gives us a highly emotional story that was cracking my heart open all over the place. And she put the one thing in that is sure to make me a blubbering mess. I just turn into a puddle whenever there are kids in a story. Man, they burrow into my heart and I want to keep them there forever!! Devney's nephew Austin was just the bestest, sweetest little boy, ever!
This story kind of "took a village" before it was all over, and I absolutely loved getting to see all of the brothers and their better halves rally around Devney and Sean and provide them with unwavering support and guidance. And it was super fun to see a ton of cameos from so many well loved characters. And even though Jacob hasn't fallen for his lady yet, I feel pretty sure his story is going to be just as emotional, if not more than, Sean and Devney's. I am so looking forward to that!

Oh holy swoon, Corinne Michaels has delivered one of her most romantic reads with this fantastic best-friends-to-lovers story. A fun, dramatic, sexy, functional and super swoony romance with sensational chemistry and all the feels, this book completely swept me up, and I loved it!
Sean and Devney’s romance has been hinted at in earlier books of these series. Best friends since childhood, there is a deeper connection between these two, but it’s nothing that either of them have explored, or even really realized. Sean and his brothers ran from their home town years ago after suffering abuse at the hands of their father, and he’s now a professional baseball player living in another state. Devney still lives in Sugarloaf with close ties to her family and no desire to leave. So, anything beyond friendship has never been an option.
But now, Sean is in the off season and is forced back to his home town for six months as part of a deal with his brothers to claim their inheritance, and he and Devney are together once again. And this book throws us straight into the action as they share a drunken evening together which ends with a kiss that rocks both of their worlds, bringing long-buried and unrealised feelings to the surface.
Devney has always known that she feels more for her best friend, but his career keeps him away and she has ties to the town that run deep. She has no intention of leaving, which puts them in a really hard position. But Sean is one persistent guy, and when he sets about wooing his best friend, it’s flirty, sexy and so much fun!
Oh, Sean! OMG, swoooooooooooon! He is the most loving, caring, devoted hero! It may have taken him a while to realise his feelings, but he doesn’t shy away from them. He accepts them, welcomes them even, and he revels in it, declaring his love far and wide, and stopping at nothing to get his girl.
At the heart of these two is a strong emotional connection that seems to strengthen every day. I loved watching them work through all that they were feeling, talking about it and not hiding from each other. And once they open that door, everything changes.

The love story is honest, functional and swoony with heaps of emotion. I fell in love with how in love these two are, and relished in every moment of them exploring their new-found connection.
But right when they seem to have found their HEA, one heartbreaking moment changes everything. It wasn’t a surprising twist, but it’s shocking in its intensity, and I read with tears streaming down my face at all that Sean and Devney are facing as their world turns upside down.
It’s so emotional, but it’s a beautiful, beautiful story. I love how this book is different from so many any other romances in that the couple come together early in the book and then face their challenge together. It’s romance-lovers bliss watching them stand by each other and work together through their issues. And as secrets are revealed and lives are changed, they are forced to face heartbreaking decisions – what are they willing to sacrifice for love?
It’s heartwrenching at times, but I loved watching Sean and Devney work through it. By their sides through it all are their families, and I loved their involvement. Devney’s little nephew, Austin, and his hero worship of Sean is so freaking adorable. And of course, I loved seeing Sean’s brothers again. Connor and Declan have already had their stories told, and I loved catching up with them, their girls and their kids, and now Jacob has arrived in town and I’m super excited for his story up next! But it’s the brothers all together that is so good. Their teasing and joking around is so much fun, and their love and support for each other is just gorgeous. The Arrowood boys have stolen my heart!
I loved this book. Blissfully romantic, deeply heartfelt, sexy, fun and so freaking swoony, it’s a beautiful read.

Sean is the one for me. No really he is. This man is everything and I’m keeping him for myself. Just you watch me.
Corinne is the ultimate ugly cry writer. I believe she loves to torture her readers and give them lots of angst. But that is what I love about her writing. She gives you all the feels including the sad ones. This story is exactly what I love about her writing. It got me right in the feels real good. It was fun and flirty until it was angst galore and I couldn’t stop blubbering. But then as only Corinne knows how she slowly put those broken pieces of my heart back together. My heart was completely full in the end.
Sean is every girls dream. Devney is so strong even if sometimes she doesn’t feel it herself. These two have an unbelievable connection that runs soul deep. It may have taken them a little longer to figure out what everyone already knew but when they did they were unbreakable. It was a beautiful journey. They were definitely the one for each other.

WOW!! I mean seriously, just wow! This series! These Arrowood brothers! Just when I think I can’t possibly love one more than the other, we get Sean!
Gahhh! I love Sean and this story so much!! This man is absolutely perfect! I simply adore him! He is a pro baseball player but without the arrogance and cockiness that may come along with that. He is genuine, charming, sweet, protective, sexy and drops the swoon like its his job! But I also love how thoughtful, giving, honest and caring he is! He goes after what he wants and he goes full throttle after Devney, who has always just been his best friend up until now, but it’s time for all of that to change. She is perfect for him and he wants her to be his! And let me tell you, the things he says to her melted me into a puddle of goo. Swoon.
Devney is absolutely amazing! She is such a strong person and has been through a lot. She is sweet, genuine, thoughtful and caring as well. She has always loved Sean but she is afraid to venture out of friends territory because she does not ever want to lose him, and he is only back in Sugarloaf temporarily. She also has secrets she has been hiding and is afraid of what will happen if she tells him. I adored the moment she finally realizes that she wants more with Sean.
There are so many awesome scenes in this book which obviously I can’t talk about, and I love when authors bring characters from another one of their series into a story! I won’t spoil who though. It just makes me so happy!! And these scenes are wonderful!
But when tragedy strikes it threatens what they have been building and working towards and you honestly wonder if they can possibly navigate through it all together or if at all.
It’s so hard to put into adequate words how much I loved this story. But I’m trying. It’s so beautiful, sweet, sexy and emotional all wrapped into one. It’s also unpredictable! And of course It wouldn’t be a Corinne Michaels book if she didn’t make me sob at some point, and sob I did. Broke my heart she did, but then she put it back together in spectacular fashion as she always does!

Oh, Corinne Michaels!!! How do you do it? With every book, I fall a little more in love with the Arrowood Brothers. *sigh Sean* was the best yet. I’m finally writing my thoughts after I got over my crying jag and then book mourning. Haha!!

I think my favorite line that just stuck with me was “Just kiss me if I'm the one for you because Devney you’re the one for me.” There are many more fantastic quotes I could use I'm sure. But this one for me just set the tone so perfectly early in the book.
I absolutely loved that we got to see some familiar faces in this book. Makes me want to go do some re-reading.

4.5 “Swoony” Stars
A friends to lovers story is always one to put a smile on my face and Corrine Michaels definitely made a sweet story even sweeter with Sean Arrowood and Devney Maxwell.
Childhood friends, Sean and Devney, have always been each other‘s person. From childhood to teenage years into college and even now, their connection is fierce and fiery. They love each other as friends and have never thought about crossing the line until now. But at what cost does crossing the line do to their friendship? Once they fall, they know there is no going back to just being friends because not really loving each other is not an option anymore. But in order to fully love, they must tell each other the secret’s they have both been holding back.
What should be so simple becomes so much more complicated when tragedy hits the town. It’s angsty, it’s heartbreaking, it’s tender and it’s so loving. It’s the sweetest story with heart and conviction. It’s definitely a beautiful friends to lovers story about friendship, trust, understanding and healing.
I must admit that I loved Sean!! He was swoon worthy and perfect!!! I did love Devney but I must admit that in my mind she didn’t try as hard as Sean. I understood her convictions, I truly did, but I wanted her to believe just as much as Sean. But these two did have the best banter that made them perfect for one another and their chemistry was off the charts.
I loved sweet Austin and Hadley and also that Sean’s brothers and their wives were front and center in the story and that Devney was so committed to her family. There were some other little surprises characters that brought a big smile to my face.
The only thing I can say is.....Bring on Jacob’s story.

Corinne Michaels has been a favorite author of mine for a while now, and The One for Me is exactly one of the main reasons. This book- and Sean- has everything I look for in a book: strong, sexy hero, sassy woman, friends-to-lovers who aren't sure if changing their friend status is worth it, and a little twist that makes it all worth it! Add in a fantastic plot and writing, and I couldn't put it down!
Sean and Devney have been friends since they were young. Devney got Sean through a difficult childhood and supported him while he worked to make it in the MLB. Devney moved back home after college, and is not anxious to leave, but struggles with finding her place. When Sean comes home for his six months on the family farm, he and Devney begin to see each other in a new light, but while Sean would like to pursue a relationship, Devney struggles with how it could work with him living in Florida and traveling for games, while she does not- and will not- leave.
These two had so much chemistry! Sean was such a little charmer, and I loved how persistent he was with convincing Devney that they could be more. I absolutely understood Devney's need to stay in their little town, and the difficulties that a relationship with Sean would entail, but their pull toward each other was just so strong, it was inevitable.
I absolutely loved The One for Me! I have loved all the books in this series, but there is no doubt that this one is the best one (yet, at least; let's see what Jacob's story brings!)! Sean was just... wow! And I loved Devney!! I highly recommend The Arrowood Brothers' series, and definitely recommend The One for Me!
Sean and Devney have been friends since they were young. Devney got Sean through a difficult childhood and supported him while he worked to make it in the MLB. Devney moved back home after college, and is not anxious to leave, but struggles with finding her place. When Sean comes home for his six months on the family farm, he and Devney begin to see each other in a new light, but while Sean would like to pursue a relationship, Devney struggles with how it could work with him living in Florida and traveling for games, while she does not- and will not- leave.
These two had so much chemistry! Sean was such a little charmer, and I loved how persistent he was with convincing Devney that they could be more. This book has given me such a huge book hangover! Sean and Devney have been best friends forever but after one kiss now they are questioning what they really mean to each other especially since Sean will now be living in town. This is so much more than a friends to lovers book. Sean is super swoony and sweet and I loved Devney. Of course there has to be Corinne’s signature emotional twists where there is heartbreak but that makes the HEA so much better. I continue to love the interaction with all of the Arrowood brothers, which is so entertaining (and now looking forward to Jacob’s book). The other part I loved was that we get to see several other of Corinne’s characters make appearances in the book, in addition to several other characters she borrowed from her author friends. You definitely do not want to miss this book!

I absolutely devoured The One For Me by Corinne Michaels. A friends to lovers romance that was emotional and angst-filled read. Best friends for as long as both could remember, Devney and Sean have always been there for each other, but Sean wants more. He is back home and is ready to prove to her all they can be, but he cannot stay. He needs to convince her to come with him. Can he show her they can be more and not lose the friendship that means so much to both of them? But what happens when tragedy strikes? Will their love survive? A definite must-read from Corinne! I loved the characters so much and their story will captivate you from start to finish!

Well, The One for Me is my least favorite book in this series. The reason is because of the connection between Devney and Sean. Their connection is confusing. Especially Sean. He is a bit too much. After coming back to Sugarloaf, he suddenly have this sudden change of heart that he has to have Devney.
When I listen to his POV, I feel like he is dragging me into marathon run. From he declared his love to Devney, to moving together and want to marry her in one breath. Even with the twist of who is Austin was, I still feel everything is rushed.
Because of everything is rushing, I can not feel the connection between Sean and Devney.
On the other side, the writting style is as good as always. Miss Michaels knows how to bring a good story romance.

I am so in love with this third book in The Arrowood Brothers series! This is Sean and Devney's bittersweet but beautiful, friends to lovers romance. I was so overwhelmed with the emotions that I experienced while reading this amazing book. It had me laughing, crying and swooning from beginning to end! Sean and Devney have been best friends since they were kids. Devney was there to cheer on Sean at all his baseball games and to comfort him when tragedy strikes his family. Their relationship changed a bit when they went in different directions for college but they never lost touch. Devney came home a different person and Sean was never sure what happened. Now he is home and he is ready to act on the love, beyond friendship, that he has always felt for her. Devney is holding back, no matter how much she wants to try with him. She has secrets that she isn't sure Sean will understand, and is afraid to lose him when he learns the truth. I loved the complexity and richness of Sean and Devney's relationship. They were friends first and that solid foundation made their interactions less angsty and more stirring and tender. Sean is so swoon-worthy as he shows Devney he has enough faith in them for the both of them, and prove to her that they were always meant to be. I am a sucker for a great grand gesture and epilogue and if I thought I loved Sean before, this sealed it completely! It was so much fun catching up with their family that we grew to care for from the first books. I loved seeing them growing closer together and laughing at their brotherly banter. There was also some hints about Jacob's story and I can't wait for that one next! This series is getting better with each brother! I love this fun, emotional, and sexy romance and I can't wait for more from these Arrowood Brothers!

Corinne has done it yet again!!! Damn these Arrowood boys are simply the best!
That being said, Sean Arrowood melted my heart from the first Page. THE FIRST PAGE! Honestly I didn't think these boys could get any better, Connor and Declan were amazing but then came Sean! He left me with such a book-hangover I don't know what to read next. When you hear all the feels this book is packed with that and so much more! All the feels, all the love, All the crazy, All the damn Arrowoods!
Sean & Devney's chemistry jumps off the pages. If ever there was a perfectly matched couple it's them. Honestly when you want to slap someone or shake them up a bit you know the writing is just that good! Honestly Sean is my favorite Arrowood to date well I say that until we bring on Jacob. Because they truly just get better and better. Let's bring on Jacob!!!! I swear I'll have a cry fest when this is all over because each book is just that good! You just can't put it down and you don't want it to end.

I have absolutely fallen head over heels for these Arrowood brothers ❤️ We are getting a brother each book, and learning how one tragic event shaped them. Sean and Devney were no different.

O M G!!!! I have such a book hangover from this story! Based off Corinne's excitement I knew it was going to be amazing but just from the first few pages I was hooked. I'm completely in love with Sean! He ranks right up there next to Liam (notice how I didn't say he passed him!)
Sean and Devney are the perfect best friends since kids to lovers story! I adore their love for each other..so raw and pure.
Sean is a lover..from the moment early on he realized he was in love with Devney and was going to stop at nothing to win her over.
Devney had a secret she kept from her best-friend Sean which changed her life and was keeping her from being with Sean. When tragedy strikes and that secret comes to life everything changes.
