4,5 “So sad this is the end.” Stars.
If you’ve read this series you know it’s impossible not to fall in love with Kayla and Cooper as a couple. They were in every book and not only was Kayla absolutely awesome, but Cooper was also pretty damn sweet and nice. Both of them together as a couple were always great, so for me it was great to know that they were getting their own novella, telling us how everything started between them. It didn’t disappoint, not only was good to see a more “vulnerable” side to Kayla, it was equally great to see a sexier side to Cooper (and boy, is he a dirty talker!).
Definitely, a perfect ending for a series that have definitely became one of my favorites. If you haven’t starting read them yet, don’t lose more time, give these books a try. You will not regret.

#GOALS. What a couple! This lovely duo leaves me at a loss of words .. maybe PERFECTION wouldsuffice. I fell deeply in love with them in the first novel where they were introduced. They were absolutely adorable and brought tears. to my eyes despite the fact that they weren't even the main characters. Then I come across this novel and read the cover and I'm pretty sure I screamed (Not a good thing at 4AM) and began my quest. I could NOT put it down! It was a freaking tear jerker that just warmed my heart immensely. THIS NOVEL .. this NOVEL would be the definition of "re-read" worthy. So wonderfully constructed, written, and told .. A round of applause for one of my favourite authors K.C. Lynn.

5 "Cooper and Kayla's epic love closure" stars
This is the final story in the series Men of honor (about three honorable and courageous Navy Seals)...we've followed Jaxon and Julia's story , Sawyer and Grace's story and Cade and Faith's story, we bled, cried and laughed with them all...
but through out all of those books, one secondary charachter stole my heart from the first letters that said his name – Cooper McKay – a goodhearted, golden boy of Sunset bay (but there's so much more to him, he's honorable, maybe even the most honorable of them all, a true, hard and loving alpha protector, a true and loyal friend to Jax and other guys)– place where he moved in as a teen and stayed , chose a carriere of being a towns Sheriff- left his heart and soul on the threshold of another feisty blonde – Kayla
This is their story, how it all started for them, the very beginning of the everlasting love, the love of epic proportions...
The story starts with the preparation for their wedding and their begining is told from Kayla's POV...as she remembers it all...
Kayla - she's something else, I loved her from the very start, you just had the feeling they were made and meant for each other...she's a high tempered, feisty, sassy little blonde, who always speaks her mind and is never afraid to step up in defence for her friends or anyone else in need. But she's also not afraid to call upon smbd's shit and shove it...
“I’m giving you fair warning, bitch, if you don’t get out of my face in the next five seconds you won’t need your circus makeup any longer, because the damage I’ll do to you will permanently decorate your face.”
That always gets her in trouble and she always takes her best friend Julia down with her (although she never lets her take the downfall) and who comes to her/their rescue?
Yes, well you guessed it – Cooper! Yeah, and where's Cooper, there's Jax. And their hands are full with those two... LOL
Cooper, yeah – the very same guy who Kayla felt the hots for since she was a fourteen year old girl and could only dream about him as hers „too-good-looking-for-his-own-good“ next door neighbour. Cooper is three years older than Kayla but he has never showed anything more, he has never said more than a polite, sweet word to her. But she wanted him, she wanted more with him and she waited for three long years to act upon the desire she had for him to come true when she was close to the legal age.
“I’m going to marry you one day, Cooper McKay, so you better be ready for me.”
And then the action starts...
It starts with a kiss...
and the rest is as tempting as ever...and very hard...
she gets herself in funny situations, she' bursting out tantrums and making jealous scenes, she drives him crazy and mad, she pushes his buttons and she smiles at him seductively while doing it. Those are the most infuriating and frustrating situations for Cooper to deal, she's teasing him and is tempting him till he can't hold himself back anymore BUT she 's still out of reach for him and there are only minutes in counting when he'll be able to show her all the piled up passion that he was holding back for years...
“Baby, we have to stop or I’m going to come in my fucking pants.”
“That’s okay, it will feel good, take the edge off until we go back to your place.”
He expels a tortured groan. “Jesus, Kayla, I’m trying to do the right thing here, help a guy out.”
“Sometimes it pays to be bad, Coop.”
“Oh believe me, there is nothing good about anything I plan to do to you tonight, but…” He drops me back down to my feet. “Not until midnight.”
And OMG, that kind of passion that was building up for years had to make the fireworks seem like child's play...phenomenal steamy, sexy scenes...
Leaning over, my hand finds his erection through his dress pants. His grin vanishes and I hear him inhale sharply.
“Mmm, too bad I didn’t find out about this sooner, because I would have paid you back so good,” I whisper in his ear.
“If you thought the bikini in my hot tub was torture that’s nothing to what you would have come home to find.” I lick his earlobe.
“Me, in your bed.” Nip. “Waiting for you all naked and needy.” Nip. “And since you wouldn’t have touched me, I would have done it myself. I would have shown you exactly what I’ve done to myself for the last three years every time I thought about you.”
Nothing less than a sound that you could describe as animalistic erupts deep from within his chest before he rips my hand away from him. “Oh, Kayla, you just played with some serious fire, baby, and you are going to get burned for it.”
And it really has some funny thunderstruck effects too…
Just as I sit us up, a big bang has me struggling to maintain balance to stop us from rolling off the bed.
Kayla gasps. “Oh shit! Did we break the bed?” She jumps off and looks underneath it then glances back up at me in horror.
“Oh my god, we did! We broke the bed!”
“What? What kind of bed can’t withstand a good fuck?”
poor bed, I say…
After that the rest of Cooper and Kayla's story is history in making...we have got the glimpses of that in previous books...and in this one it's all glued and bonded together with the most beautiful closure two characters could ever get.
“I told you I was going to marry you one day, Cooper McKay.”
I return her smile with a smirk. “You did, but little did you know that was my plan long before yours.”
“We’re married,” she whispers, her tone serious.
“Yeah…” I reply slowly and stare down at her, unsure of where she’s going with this. “That means I’m your wife. Forever. Until you die.” Her head tilts and her eyes turn crazy. “You are mine and there is no escape for you, Cooper. Do you understand? If you ever try to leave me, I will find you and I will kill you!”
She’s down right hilarious…
“That is the most beautiful real-life love story I’ve ever heard,”
“Well I don’t know about that, but it’s mine and Cooper’s story so it’s perfect to me.”
Their love was meant to be, they were made for each other, it was destiny…
“Shouldn’t you love me more every day?” she teases, quirking a brow at me.
“That’s impossible, because I’ve loved you with everything I have from the day I made you mine, and I will for the rest of my life. Nothing—or no one—will ever change that, Kayla,”
I loved it.
The epic love, the sincere, pure connection that is written in the stars...and the bond that will NEVER be broken
What he doesn’t know, is that while he’s watching over everyone and taking care of everything, is that I’m watching out for him and I always will. I know there will be times throughout our life that won’t always be easy, but I will never give up on us—never give up on him. He was the first man I ever loved and he will be my last.
There were never more worthy secondary characters to get their own story...
And it's still NOT enough!

Kindle: Men of Honor Series; Military Romance Boxed Set
Kayla was my favorite out of all the heroines. I really wish K.C. Lynn would have given Kayla and Coop a full story.
The story was told as a flashback on Kayla’s wedding day. We all know Kayla is wild and I wondered how she snatched up a man of the law. This story started out sad and infuriating, but then the author reveals the reason for Coop’s actions and it became sweet and loving.
I typically struggle with short stories, but because I read about Kayla and Coop in 3 other books, this wasn’t so bad.
Kayla was my favorite out of all the heroines. I really wish K.C. Lynn would have given Kayla and Coop a full story.

I LOVED this novella, mainly because I love the heroine Kayla. Her personality is awesome ! Kayla's fun loving, sassy, a wonderful friend to Julia ( the heroine from Fighting Temptation ) and she's full of adventure with all the zany plans she devises to help her best friend or to get Cooper ( the older H ) to notice that she's finally 18 years old. I loved Julia from Fighting Temptation but I always preferred Kayla the best, from among all the heroines in this series, because I can identify with her the most. She's the kind of girl who goes after what she wants and is always brimming with confidence. Kayla doesn't know what the word "No" means. Lol. She might be irritating to other readers ( because some people are more fond of the shy, retiring type of heroines like Julia ) but she has a heart of gold.
I wished the author had turned this into a full length novel. This novella begins on Kayla and Cooper's wedding day and the heroine gets a flashback into the past. The author then proceeds to give a romantic and nostalgic account of Kayla's journey to true love with Cooper. He's the love of her life since she first saw him as a teen. He was a few years older than her and had already joined the police academy. I adore stories where the heroine gets a HEA with her first love because it's kinda like deja vu for me since I had also had a humongous crush on my husband from the time I met him as a teen. This story captures all the highlights of Kayla's crazy campaigns to lasso Cooper's obstinate heart and I enjoyed all the stuff she did. The craziest thing she ever did was to put dog shit under the flap that opens the car door of the evil bitch who was chasing after Cooper. It might sound extreme but in fairness to Kayla, the crazy evil bitch had written a lot of nasty stuff on Kayla's car with lipstick. I love it when a heroine doesn't sit down and take crap from a wannabe OW. The H had also wanted Kayla from the time she was a teen but he had held off because of her age. Their relationship only started after she became 18.
Cooper was gorgeous and sexy in all his sheriffy hotness. I could picture him so easily, in his policeman's uniform looking so delectable and scrumptious. I read this novella a long time ago but had never gotten around to writing a review. A story as beautiful as this one deserves a proper review. It was also nice to see cameo appearances from the beautiful Julia and the scorching bad boy Jaxson from Fighting Temptation.

Once again I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED K.C's book! OMG how adorable was this!!!! I freaking loved Kayla ever since the first book! She stole my heart because she cared so much about the people she loves! Her sassy attitute was the cherry on the top! No, seriously, can I be like herrr?!?

The Final Temptation is the wraps up the Men of Honor series quite nicely and tells the story of Cooper and Kayla. As the entire gang comes together for a celebration, Kayla reminisces how she first met Cooper when she was 14 and Cooper moved in next door. The story is cute, funny and with plenty of bumps, twists and turns. I love Kayla's quick temper, in your face attitude, but also how sweet and how she loves deeply. I adore the young 20 year old Cooper almost as much as the Cooper you meet in the beginning of the series. He says the most honest to goodness sweetest things, totally swoon worthy.
Even though this series is ending, there is a letter from the author telling us this is not the last time you will see these characters. There is going to be a spin off series Acts of Honor. Thank goodness because I am not ready to say goodbye yet.

YES!!! I have been looking forward to Kayla and Cooper's story from the very beginning of this series! This one wasn't as long as the others and it starts out with their wedding day..the goes back in time as Kayla remembers how they met and how she got her man. I've loved Kayla and Cooper through every book in this series and I loved getting all the details on how they met... yep, their story kicked ass.

As I watched him that day, I told myself I was going to marry him. I didn’t care what it took, I was going to make it happen.
Woooo. I think I may start saying, that book was the SH*T! Of course, in a very good way. She done it again. It was so much more that what I was expecting. Fun, sassy, emotional and with a cherry on top full of love.
I had my doubts, because I don’t like books that have a lot of flashbacks, and I didn’t know if it was going to be since Kayla & Cooper met, or in the present. But, oh my God, (Can I continue fangirling?) I LOVED Kayla’s flashback I didn’t want it to end.
The Final Temptation is the 4th and last book from the Men of Honor Series. For the people who have not read it, each book is a stand alone, however, if you want to understand a lot better Kayla & Cooper’s story you may want/need to read the first one, Fighting Temptation.
First, then cover was totally Kayl’s style, and it was so well written. I like to mark phrases and passages that really stood to me and have a lot of meaning, when I went to check those so I can write my review I was shaken at how much I had. Then I started reading it, so I can pick the best ones, but I can’t!!! K. C. did a gorgeous job in the book. Literally, all that came out of their mouths, and every thought they thought was special. I laugh so hard at some parts, tears were spilled down my cheeks and I couldn’t help it.
Kayla is officially one of my favorite’s heroines. She is pretty, caring, sincere, loyal and sassy. She comes from a good family, not wealthy talking. Her parents love her with all their heart and raised her good. Kayla has been in love with Cooper since she had fourteen years old and he moved to the house next door. She does everything she can to gain some attention, even being a lot of sassy face to face, or hot tub to window… But Cooper never showed interest on Kayla, which I understand was frustrating, and even more with the fact that the bitch Brittany had something to do with it.I'll just say it, you really have to read to understand.
Anyone remember that chick? Well I did. I may hate that name for the rest of my life. I was conflicted, because Brittany had some relevant part in the story. Like, it has to be her? My eyes have to deal with her again? But well, then I thought: Its better this way, if K. C. had added another bitch to the stories, which means more problems, I may have lose it.
Tough, I liked how Kayla managed it. With a little bit of fun and a little bit of sincere remorseful. Not the typically cat fights women usually do. Another reason why Kayla it’s the best.
Holy freaking guacamole. Cooper is the alpha-male-dirty-talking cop kind of guy.And he really knows how to dirty talk. I was so surprise with this. His words seemed so erotic and meaningful at the same time I think my brain had several orgasms reading it. He is protective, a lot, and demanding, a hole of lot more. Cooper moved to the house next door from Kayla. And since then he has been followed by the ghost of a desire that makes him go crazy but can’t do anything about it, he has his reasons, even Kayla understand those.
When they finally collide –which is obvious to all who have read the books-it is THE collision. I liked when they took their time, not insta- anything. It wasn’t perfect, it was a bit ugly, painful —I felt what Kayla was feeling— and they had to learn how to keep moving forward and be patience without hurting themselves in the process. But then it became sweet. The books is FULL of surprises, so I would not write specific things, but let me say it was fan-f*cking-tastic.
This book really shows how all the different stories come together. Since Jaxson the Hulk, to the sweet little Ruthie. I LOVE HER. And let’s rephrase it, not the books, but their friendship. Yes, sometime they can be a pain in the ass, but they love each other and have their backs. And the most important of this book is that it’s not over yet. With what happens in the book, not near, nop. Even K. C. promised me, -I have the screenshot K. C., now you are bounded to your readers more than ever LOL-. So, at the end, it’s recommendable? Hell to yes!! Go read it; it’s officially, one of the best series I have read in my life. So thank you, K. C.

KC Lynn writes one of the best alphas ever, IMO. I'm so infatuated with every single one of them, it's not even funny. Or healthy. I eat that *hit up. I devour her books, enjoying all that angst and OTT heroes' attitude like it's my last breath. Her books always left me in a pile of mushy goo, blissful sighs and googly eyes.
The only reason I haven't read this story before was because it's a novella and you know how I feel about them. But I always wanted to read how Kayla & Coop met and came together.
Kayla was always the strongest female of the bunch and she did not disappoint. I love her even more now. And Coop...well...I knew he was gonna be a sexy beast, but not that sexy. Lawd. He. Was. HAWT. This novella is hawt. Rawr.
I advise you to read other books in the series first before you read this one. This series is one of my fave military themed books and I love every single part of it, even the spin-off series.

When K.C. Lynn started the Men of Honors series there was always that couple that keep showing up, Kayla and Coop. They had the strongest relationship ever and it always kept me asking how did these two got together. I don’t think I was the only one, since the author finally caved and gave us the novella we have all been waiting for. And she nailed it, yet again….
KAYLA~ He moved in next door to me, all bronzed skin and lean muscle, with a panty dropping smile that could make any girl weep with need. He set my body and teenage hormones on fire for three years. THREE LONG YEARS.
Kayla was on a mission and that mission was to land her in Cooper’s bed. Just one problem- he isn’t falling for it. He is getting blue balls, but until she turns 18 he isn’t going to do anything. Hey, I don’t blame him; he is an officer of the law. I sure wish he would use those handcuffs on me.
COOPER~ She tempted me with her smart mouth and tight body for three painful years. I took an oath to uphold the law and honor it, which she made almost impossible not to break.
Ok, well not only is she giving him blue balls she is also making him get white hair. When he says don’t do something that is basically telling her do it but don’t tell me. When one little prank goes wrong it pushes Cooper way out there and words are said. Words that Kayla can’t forget. He knows the minute the words come out of his mouth that it was wrong, but he can’t seem to get her to listen to her. The only thing wrong is they both know that they are always better together and when push comes to shove it’s them against the world. They are the final temptation.
I for one loved reading about how this couple came together. I loved seeing everyone reunited and I can’t wait for the next series!

Another Fantastic read from KC Lynn.Not to be missed!!
As everyone knows I am a HUGE KC Lynn fan. Between her MOH Series and BI. She has become one of my all time favourite authors.
The Fighting Temptation is the last book in the MOH Series. This Coop and Kayla's book, and what an amazing ending to a fantastic series., but with KC you know she is not going to disappoint.

This was the perfect ending to a fantastic series! I've loved reading all the books in this series, and like all the other fans, I've been dying for Cooper and Kayla's story. KC Lynn did not disappoint with this one! While it is a novella, she packed in everything we wanted to know about Kayla and Cooper, and she gave it to us wrapped up in a steamy, sexy, gorgeously romantic bow!

Ms. Lynn knows how to write a book with a hot guy. She writes a strong female weather vocally or just in her will to survive that just endears you to them. This book was no different and even though I would have loved to have the full story because I loved Cooper I won’t complain too much.
Cooper and Kayla have spent years dancing around the attraction. Even though Coop is protective of Kayla and wants more he always walks the fine line of just being the friend. He bides his time even though he has always been in love with her. Kayla the sassy little firecracker loves to give him hell and that hell comes in a form of major flirting letting cooper know exactly what he is missing out on.
This author is an instant read for me. I know going in that the story will be beautiful and the guys will have that protective nature I just fall in love in with. I hate to say goodbye to my boys, but can’t wait to read what K.C. Lynn has in store next.

Man, reading this makes me crave a whole book just for these two characters.
Don't get me wrong, this book was great, but just the info we got would have made a fabulous full length.
We've gotten to know the H and h from the previous books, but never got their full story - and man was it PERFECT!
I loved these two and getting to catch up with the others. This is one of my absolute favorite series involving alphas who are OTT protective and possessive. Beautifully written stories all the way around. I bought this just seeing it was part of the series without even seeing what it was about. If you haven't read the others, don't start with this one. Go back and read in order (although t each book does involve different characters). Love this series, wishing for more - either in this series or in a new series (sounds like it might involve Anna and her BF).

Lo stile di KC è sempre piacevolissimo, scorrevole e capace di trascinare il lettore nel mondo dei suoi personaggi. La connessione con tutti i protagonisti è immancabile e l'amore per Kayla, per questo personaggio forte e carismatico, cresce e si rinsalda pagina dopo pagina. E chi non avrebbe voluto un’amica così fedele, simpatica e pazza ai tempi del liceo? Io la vorrei anche adesso!
Ma non crediate che la storia sia piatta, senza colpi di scena o che non ci siano pagine mozzafiato e prive di passione. KC sa il fatto suo quando deve descrivere scene bollenti.
Personalmente ho adorato l’intera serie, 5 stelle non sono sufficienti per i libri di KC e per descrivere le emozioni, le lacrime, i batticuori, il percorso emotivo che l'autrice ti fa vivere quando prendi in mano i suoi libri quindi, anche se questa è una storia leggermente più corta, è comunque un momento piacevolissimo per riprendere fiato, immergersi nuovamente nel mondo dei ‘Men of Honor’ per poi arrivare a salutare definitivamente tutti i suoi personaggi (anche se poi in realtà li ritroveremo comunque a fare da sottofondo alle vicende dei protagonisti delle serie successive 😊).
Io, di mio, non vedo l'ora che arrivi la serie sulla Next generation, quella cioè sui figli dei protagonisti dei Men of Honor!

If I could rate this book zero stars I would. I kept waiting for it to not suck and the time never came. The rest of the series was good and this was a prequel about a relationship that was already solid from the first book…. The MMC is older than the FMC by like 2 years and they talk about how she’s been in love with him since she was 14 and most of the book takes place when she’s 17….. they do it like 5 minutes before she turns 18. He’s a cop. This couple deserved more than barely legal ew . I’m literally so mad about this. I don’t think I could be more mad about this. Like the author did this story so dirty. The other 3 books this couple is GOALS. The cops such a good man. The FMC is wonderful… but no they’re gross. We had to end the series with them being fucking gross. I shouldn’t have read this book. Ugh.

This is a short novella and wraps up the Men Of Honor series.
As everyone gathers for Cooper and Kayla’s wedding, the girls ask Kayla how it all started for her and Coop, From there, the story flashes back to how these two fell in love.
In the previous books, Kayla and Cooper were already a couple, so I was curious how their love story happened. This doesn’t have a ton of depth, but I enjoyed getting to know Kayla and Cooper better. It was a good ending to the series.

Cute, short, sweet. Totally enjoyable and a nice end to the series. Looking forward to reading the spin-off series, Acts of Honor.
