The Story of Redemption is a four volume study that walks through the entire Bible in one year. This study highlights how each chapter of the Bible points to Jesus Christ and where it fits in the big picture story of Scripture, the story of redemption. Each day includes written content that covers an average of three chapters to help you understand and apply the text, as well as daily reflection questions.
The Bible tells one big story of redemption, and we want to spend five minutes every day journeying through the Bible from start to finish. In each episode, one of the hosts will talk through a few chapters of the Bible. We will explore how all of it points to Jesus, where it fits into the story of Scripture, and how the truth of God’s Word impact our lives.
I love the Daily Grace studies and this one was no different, even though I left my book at an air bnb. Luckily The Daily Grace Co. includes access to the book through their app so I was able to continue reading it.
This one covers Genesis through 2 Samuel in 2-3 chapters at a time.
If you're looking for a Bible reading plan, this is a great option because it takes you through the entire Bible in manageable chunks and provides commentary to help you understand what you're reading.
What I love about this particular plan is that it takes each passage and points to the redemption story, the gospel message-- what is wrong with the world, who God is, and how Jesus died to redeem it.
I'm going to take breaks into between reading each volume, but I own all the volumes and am glad to have it as a resource even to use to look up information regardless of which book of the Bible I'm reading.
It's a pretty book with review questions and memory verses and definitely a Bible reading plan I would recommend!
This is hands down the best Bible reading companion, especially if you are going through the entire Bible! Instead of just ingesting lots of information, this breaks down the Bible 3 chapters at a time, giving background information and asking insightful and applicable questions. I can’t wait to work through Volume 2.
Love how they review each reading and point it all back to the bigger picture of the gospel. It’s throughout ALL of scripture. This has been a great tool to help me in my daily reading of God’s Word.
It’s a decent daily Bible study book. I am enjoying the different perspective and seeing how it all points to Jesus! But I will say that the Bible Recap was much better, even though that it was written with a different goal and perspective. I mostly like that this book also encourages daily Bible reading, which for me is SO important
