“I want to protect you. Why would you run like a rat? Why do you lie? What is wrong with you?”
“Because I hate this fucking club! They took you away from me! It was supposed to be us against the world. You promised me all of that, and still chose them! I even asked you to go with me tonight, and you chose them again!”
“You were the one who told me to fuck off!”
“I wanted you to go after me!”
He wasn’t proud of it, but he’d felt so desperate to reconnect with El that he’d purchased the perfume and offered the bottle to a hangaround he often fucked. A part of him had been hopeful that if he closed his eyes, the familiar scent could fool him into believing that El was the one sharing his bed, but the experience had been such a disappointment he’d never had sex with that guy again. No matter what feelings he harbored for Trig, he wouldn't let his life be involved with those bikers. They were no better than the cartel
That guy was like a rabid raccoon with sticky fingers.
