I thoroughly enjoyed this story. This author's humor is similar to Olivia Gaines. The hero in this story was hilarious. The book cover model is channeling Channing Tatum, just buffer and I'm NOT mad at that--at all. Nice twist, but the ending was too abrupt. There is a sequel in the works and I look forward to reading it. Highly Recommended. Read It!

FMC signs up for a “mail order groom” (i.e. online dating and then they immediately move into together, I’ve definitely seen a dating show like this), but instead of the hedge fund manager she’s expecting, she gets a tatooed ex prison inmate. Oh, and tenancy laws means she can’t kick him out.

I had a good time reading this. Can’t take it too seriously, and all the characters were very extra (again, like a reality TV show), but I did laugh out loud a few times.

OMG I loved this book🥰. I was not expecting all the hilarious moments and the depth of feeling's that are shared between Zane, Nina and the family. It’s a refreshing story about love and dating.

Zane is not what Nina was expecting when he arrived at her door, and the length in which to get rid of him is hilarious but at the same time frightening because of how it doesn’t work in her favor😆😏. Zane is a hot sexy sweetheart all masked in tattoo’s and a bad boy persona🥵. I luv his cunning ways and how he sweetly brought Nina to see how good they were together. Nelson is a true drama queen telling Nina’s business to the entire family hoping to see his side😑. I was so happy to see how mom and dad were open minded and didn’t judge Zane for his past😊. It definitely surprised Nina how her parents liked him especially due to the circumstances in which they met. I'm happy that Nina gave Zane a chance to show her what they shared in the beginning was all real and worth pursuing🥰🔥😈

It’s a gutsy move that Nina went the route of a mail order groom and so happy that her heart won over her mind in taking that risk. This is a must read and I highly recommend it. You’ll go through the book laughing😂🤣 and agreeing with all that happens to them both. Can’t say enough about how I enjoy reading Ms. Boydens books👍🏽.

AN Boyden is now on my list when I need a good laugh. This book was hilarious and about a woman that was catfished but fell in love anyways..although the mmc Zane really had to work to build back trust.

I laughed out loud at some of the ridiculous circumstances Nina finds herself on and Zane, who she tries to push away always seems to come to her rescue.

Nina, a successful AA doctor is communicating through a mail order groom site with who she believes is a sucessful AA hedgefund mmager. He's paid her 6 months rent and she is excited to move forward with their future.

Until a heavily tatooed, muscled white man shows up on a motorcycle in front of her house saying he's her Zane...

Nina tries to get him evicted, horrified that this ex con lied to her.However Zane is determined to win her heart plus her request for eviction is denied by a judge.

Zane and Nina go on adventures to a wedding, to meet her parents and face off with her partner at her office who she tried dating.

I really enjoyed this book.

Mail Order Groom is a hilarious IR romance that had me breaking out in side splitting 😆. The✍ is highly skilled at making the characters jump off the pages, to the point that you feel like you are right next to them😎. It is somewhat of a slow burn due to Zane's initial deception , but he redeemed himself so awesomely that you will fall in love him just like Nina did😍 Once the couple decided to give their blossoming love a chance , the steam & 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 level def amped up to💯💃

Loved It

I was mad that I started reading the book late, had to stop so I could go to sleep. This was a very funny story, when I was able to start reading again, it was late. I refuse to stop til I finish it, I finished at 2:42 a.m. Zane was a great man for Nina. Yes I would like to read other, Mail Order Groom stories. Please make just as crazy as this one.

This was a cute refreshing story

I chuckled my way through reading it. Both Nina and Zane had a good sense of humor which is essential for any relationship to not always take life so seriously. Nina's girlfriends were equally chilled and gave excellent support and advice, except for one of them.

Even though Nina was crushed thinking she was getting a hedge fund manager from the mail-order groom service, she and Zane took their time to get to know each other when her failed attempt at evicting Zane from her house. I would have been mad too but she realized she got a better deal. If the hedge fund manager was real, there was no guarantee that he would be 100 % real. Zane did the things he did because he wanted to be supportive to Nina, he pulled his weight in their household unlike her twin brother Nelson in his relationship. Zane took his time and patience with wooing Nina. After ten years of being locked up, he desperately wanted a meaningful relationship and family and Nina and her family provided just that. He wanted and needed her and their HEA. It didn't hurt that he'd won over her family, including her brother.

Catfished Into Love

Imagine finding the love of your life online only to find you ordered a ex-con. This is Nina's situation. Only while Zane might not be the so called perfect man on paper. In actions & deeds he's perfect for Nina. This was a enjoyable read. I found the families behavior believable. Unfortunately I also found her friends behavior believable too. This all goes to show sometimes we can step out of our comfort zone & it's a good thing.

Oooooooohhhh. Emmmmmmm. Goodness.

This novel is the shit. I loved this novel. The characters were realistic, hilarious and relatable. I laughed so hard and so much that I had to reread some areas.

Nina is a trip, but the family circle was better. I also appreciated how Zane intertwined and was welcomed into the close knit unit.

Get this novel and enjoy.

Ms Boyden is quickly becoming the author go to for something better than the normal billionaires, mafia, secrecy baby that this genre is filled with. Looking forward to seeing what’s next.

I wasn't totally convinced at first but this one was very good. Despite it being a novella, it was paxked and didn't feel like a cheat or superficial or too quick. The writer did a good job with the characters background story and personalities and even the secondary characters were good. Nina was great and Zane was fun if tiny bit too perfect. I would have liked to read more about how he dealt with adapting to being outside. And read about him interacting with others. But every was pretty good nonetheless.

So Facebook Halfway in there is barely a sexy and the romances palpable but it's not engaging. This is one of those books where you actually have to refill the final end when the characters finally get to the whole will-they-won't-they ! Also, MC female is just so boring. Spoiler alert: likes the dude but holds out the last second and seriously it makes you want to skip to the end instead of reading the filler crap.

Zane was a real comedian about the whole situation. His slick comments always made me chuckle. After getting over her embarrassment, Nina was able to tell the difference between what society wanted vs what her soul needed.

Zane & Nina💕

Queen A. N. Borden Boyden is becoming one of my new favorite interracial authors.
This was not you typical Mail Order Groom cause Zane was out here cat fishing and in the process he caught feelings for Nina. Once they meet Nina is instantly mortified that her family and friends were right all along. But Zane was determined to show her that despite his background he's still the man she feel in love with. These two kept me laughing with their back and forth banter and their crazy shenanigans.
Nina's parents love for Zane really won her over cause they weren't easily impressed. Her friends were dope asf and although he wasn't the hedge fund guy they thought he was, he treated their friend like no other.
If friends like these who needs enemies was a person, it'd be Kendra trifling thirst bucket a**🙄. Her ho flag stay pin display and the disrespect for Nina was loud and clear. So glad Nina got her together.
This right here: “Fuck me? Fuck you! You’re so fucking selfish, Nina! What if he does something to you, and we’re the ones left behind heartbroken?!” Nina began cackling at Nelson’s “attempt” to turn this around on her. “That’s pretty fucking ironic when you told me that he was going to rape and kill me, and you wouldn’t shed a single tear at my funeral because I’d deserve it!” Everyone at the table gasped except for Zane; he was there when Nelson wished ill on his twin. He needed a beat down for taking to his sister the way he did and I'm glad she cut him off until he got his ish together. That read was everything😂😂😂
I'm so looking forward to what pay 2 will bring from this crazy family💕

A book that will leave you with a smile

I couldn't put this book down. Once I started to read it, it snatch my full attention.

This book will have you laughing. I really enjoy reading about Zane and Nina. These two are hilarious. The bickering between one another will have u giggling none stop. And if your having a bad day will bring a smile to your face.

Which was what I needed very badly today.

I can say that I like the fact that Nina older twin brother, Nelson, realize his wrong doings. I couldn't figure out if I liked him or not. Since he was very much a prima Donna set in his way. And think he's has the answer for all and know best. That type of thinking was very annoying. And I felt myself dislike him a lot in the book. But I'm glad to say that's something he works on.

I really like that Nina accept the fact that she knows her flaws and that she forgives to quickly. That just Nina and she cant change that about herself. Nor do she plan to. And I love that about her.

Overall I really enjoy this book and I love how it brought me great laughter and smiles on a gloomy day.

I plan to see what other books is created by A.N. Boyden. ❤️

Beautiful

Oh My this is a enjoyable story to read with characters that are easy to enjoy! The hero is someone who just wants to love and be loved. The couple has a connection so strong that not even though they hardly know much about the other. But there is someone who is determined to come between them and sever their bond. Their love story is that a fated love and it will never be denied and a man who loves his woman will not allow anyone or anything to get in the way of him having her because he desires her above all else. This is not just a typical romance, since it has elements that's so surprising and of course throughout the entire time there’s something so unbelievable that’s just simmering beneath the surface, and that along with the depth of passion that the main characters have for each other. It's what makes this book such a page turner. I found the characters and storyline to be my favorite parts but I really enjoyed this story that I hope for a series and oh did I forget about the cliffhanger but I don't mind because it's still worth staying up nights to binge on this story that's fantastic!

First book with this author. I read a lot and rarely discover hidden gems that are soooo good!!! PROS: This book first off was HILARIOUS!!!! Loved Zane and Nina's story. Author did a great job of not rushing to the love. But more importantly, good twist and turns that added to a good storyline mystery. Zane's story while a bit unbelievable, is the exception that never really happens irl but...sure loved to see him unfold as a human & man. Nina was spunky, loved her. CONS: Would have loved to see the end of the book play out in a non-rushed manner. The antagonists of the storyline...what happens, the wedding or the pregnancy. I hate when the author skips good parts at the end and either skips it or gives a piss poor epilogue. That is a pet peeve about the shorter books. It was cute but not enough. I am very picky that way since I read so much and so many authors. Overall, the book would have been 5⭐ had the ending been a little better.

It has been soooo long since I started this book (several months at least) but for whatever reason I lost my inertia when I was just a few chapters away from the end. As a result, I’ve forgotten most of what happened and many of the specific qualms I might have had. I remember liking up the book a lot. The writing style is un-conventional (not talking about the Ebonics, though technically that’s rare for romance too). The book read like it was self-published, which in and of itself is not a bad thing, but that also means it might not have been edited within an inch of its life, and was a little rough around the edges. If the characters weren’t so fun, the writing style honestly would have thrown me off.

I remember thinking the llama drama with the fem MC’s twin was a little silly. And the book went on for quite a while after their reconciliation which made the book drag for me.

I liked it but it wasn’t my absolute favorite. Definitely unexpected though.
