Fucking Filth: An Extreme Gross out

Rate this book
From the twisted author behind Sick B*stards, Rotting Dead F*cks and The Octopus Trilogy comes a new stinking horror to rot all of your senses! His life is a tricky one. He lives alone and the only people who know of his fetishes are those he pays. They do, after all, offer discretion and that is important to him. But, that's something "off" about him and, as a result, he has no friends. Then, one drunken evening, he makes a terrible mistake and wakes up to find himself next to a work colleague. Apparently the "drunk him" thought it would be a good idea to steal her away from her life. The sober him has no idea what to do with her. He isn't a monster, after all. He can't kill her but he can't release her either. She'll go straight to the police and he knows he won't survive prison. So what can he do?! What a sticky mess he has got himself in to. An unusual story filled with grossness and - weirdly - heart. We shouldn't be afraid to be who we are, so long as we're not hurting people. Written in the first person narrative, with handwritten segments to break up the chapters - pages ripped from his diary This is an extreme, gross story. It is not intended for those who do not like disgusting stories.

Biography

MATT SHAW was born, quite by accident (his mother tripped, he shot out) September 30th 1980 in Winchester hospital where he was immediately placed on the baby ward and EBay. Some twelve years later (wandering the corridors of the hospital and playing with road kill when he was on day release), the listing closed and he remained unsold, he was booted out of the hospital to start his life as a writer and hobbit – beginning with writing screenplays and short stories for his own amusement before finally getting published when he was twenty-seven years and forty-five seconds old.

Once Published weekly in a lad's magazine with his photography work, Matt Shaw is also a published author and cartoonist. Has to be said, can be a bit of a flirt and definitely, without a shadow of a doubt, somewhat of a klutz.

I’m all charged up this weekend for some reason. So I’ve been reading all sorts of extreme content. This was…um…uh…well…extreme is probably the best word. I’ve somehow read much worse, but this was up there. I gagged reading one line, which I won’t spoil. And, because its my 12th wedding anniversary today and I have a really poor sense of humor, told my wife the same line over dinner, causing her to gag, too. The things I put that poor woman through. She should be given a medal for being with me for the last fifteen years. Ok, so the title spoils the content of this story. Our main character is into some very extreme sexual acts, and we follow him as he finds himself mixed up in a bad situation. Something he didn’t mean to do, but did so in a drunken stupor. Now he’s unsure how to handle everything, and we see him begin to evolve from a very lonely, unsavory, and disgusting person to a more refined individual, just trying to save himself. But is it too late? Has he taken things too far this time? The content is made to be a gross out fest, but there is a decent story of self-discovery and redemption in there, too. The book is under a hundred pages and could have benefited from being a tad longer, allowing for some further development of certain ideas, but all in all, it was an enjoyable experience.

Filth has many definitions. It can be disgusting stuff, offensive material, or corrupt behavior.
Shaw managed to portray each of those things in this story.
The first scene is by far the grossest, and anything after that isn't as bad. Don't get me wrong, the subsequent scenes are still gross, just not as gross.
There is an actual story to it, and for some reason I am fascinated by people with unusual fetishes. I judge nobody, yet I can still be non-judging and make note that this is the first time I've heard of this fetish (and that it would do nothing for me, sexually or non-sexually).
This is the kind of story that Shaw fans would love.
If you thought his 'The Game' series was gross, trust me when I say this one tops that in level of grossness.
The violence level was very mild, but I feel that was what the author was going for. Pure filth. (gross)

Fucking Filth by Matt Shaw

Matt Shaw is a master of the genre, no question. While this book has some very extreme moments, there is an excellent story being told. What is “normal”? What’s normal for one person may be viewed differently by others. The main character struggles with this throughout the book in many ways. An excellent read, definitely check it out. That ending, just wow.

“A pair of beef curtains, dripping in fat.”

Okay, fine, you win. This was the closest I’ve ever been to tapping out in a book before. I honest to sky daddy wanted to DNF it so freaking bad, but I refused. Idk how I made it through, but I did. 😭🙃😅

I barely make it through the first 10 f*cking pages, only for it to gradually get worse… 😒

Then I hit page 19 and this shit says ✨PART ONE✨ I’m sorry, what?! WTF do you mean part ONE?! 😭

But I kept going… and at this point I’m genuinely questioning my sanity and why I’ve so desperately been seeking a gross out book to hit my limits. I’ve met my match for now. Well played. I hated it. I loved it. I’ll never read it again, but I’ll sure AF five star this mofo and recommend the hell out of it. 🤮

Oh and yes, there is a plot behind this foul book. But my goodness. 😬

Send help. I’m not okay. 😂

Lived up to its title but also had a lot more heart than you'd expect after reading the opening pages. Enjoyed this one and really impressed with what I've read from Matt Shaw both times I've read his books. Looking forward to checking more out.

If you want a quick, nasty read, this is for you. Honestly, it got my brain wrinkles working overtime. There really are people like this, people who like what they like but feel bad about it bc it isn’t “normal”. I just felt bad for the guy. That ending…yeesh

I came here for gore and left feeling sad

‘But I’m normal…’

The gore/ filth start from page 1 which as a hore for gore I loved but with that I actually enjoyed the “plot” and the writing was top notch- the ending was sad though but I enjoyed every minute of it:)

If you are looking to push your boundaries, this is one to test with!
If not, Matt Shaw has other books that are great!!!

Matt has become one of my favorite authors & I have several of his books (slowly working on getting them all).

However with that being said…

This book follows a young man who has a certain like…need in his life and it started at a very young and impressionable age.

Matt done an excellent job telling the story that is so bizarre, strange, and down right disgusting! He was able to tell the story of a man transforming and being able to come to terms with things he enjoys and that the outside world frowns upon.
Matt’s character build up and personalities were written to the point, that you could feel what they felt.
The many twists and turns in this book is inevitable.
Completely unpredictable!! When I thought I had things figured out, a curve ball is thrown out and has you questioning…

All In all guys, this book was an amazing read!! I highly recommend this insanely gross love story!!

Looking forward to diving into another one of Shaws books to see what other curve balls he will be throwing at me!

I had very high expectations of this book because of the previous Shaw book I read (Lil' Bastard: A Black Comedy Horror). This one just didn’t work for me.

I will say, I just read ‘Hogg’ which may have really desensitized me coming into this book next. Different storylines same amount of filth (I’d even dare to say this one has less filth than Hogg).

I really wanted to get into this short book but it took me longer than expected to finish it. I didn’t feel compelled to consume it. The ending was good and bad which was also confusing. To be normal is death is the moral (maybe)?

I look forward to reading some more Shaw books. I hope that he keeps his style consistent. I enjoy the way he writes.

I think this particular splatterpunk was just more splat than splatter.

When I say you can smell this book, I absolutely mean it. This book is not for the faint of heart. It goes hard from the start. It will push your boundaries in the best way possible.

"She peeled her panties away from her body with a sound not dissimilar to a sticker being peeled from its backing paper."

The level of detail given with each interaction, from just him, the monday night appoints with his favorite working girl, or his coworkers is unbelievably amazing. It makes you feel like you're a fly on the wall just witnessing everything.

What I did not expect is for him to try and be the hero for his favorite working girl. All he wanted was to turn a new leaf and lead a normal life.

This was such a filthy, nasty, and entertaining book by the great Matt Shaw!

We follow a man who has certain fetishes and he can't help it, everyone thinks he is weird, but he is a good person until he makes a mistake.

It says "extreme gross out" in the title for a reason, because this is some vile and disgusting stuff! However, I actually enjoyed the story, it kept me interested all the way through, and I felt bad for our main character.

Without going into spoilers, I absolutely loved the ending! It makes you think, is it really worth trying to be normal?

What is normal?
After reading this im still not sure 😅

This was a pretty wild ride. I went into this with certain expectations. Even though it wasnt as nasty as i expected, it was still a entertaining read. I might just be dead inside for not being as grossed out as i have seen others be by this book.
I actually felt for the main character. He has certain fetishes, but doesnt want to hurt People or force them on others.

Even though all in all i expected more when it came to the amount of filth, i think its worth picking up.

As disgusting as this book was, I couldn't help but feel sorry for this guy throughout the whole book. He had so many years of trauma and just total rejection. I expected to gag but not cry. This is the only gross out book that I've read that has an actual plot. Color me impressed Mr. Shaw. I can't wait to read your latest book, "The Challenge." I have high hopes for this one to really make me sick. LOL.

This book is exactly as the title says, fucking filth. Matt Shaw really has a way with words, his descriptions so vivid that the reader can almost taste the smells. It’s the story of a man with unusual sexual proclivities who just wants to be normal. While it might seem that this is just a gross out book for a good chunk of it, press on. There’s more to it than the filth.

🤢🤮

What the heck did I just read? Lol. There was a few times I had to walk away for a bit. One of the most repulsive books I ever read. But, it was written so well to the point that I gagged a few times. I have read enough of your books to know to trust the title. However, I love that you constantly surprise me with your twisted brain. This one is no exception.

So the protagonist is kinda really gross and he get wasted one night and abducts a co-worker, from this point I thought it would be the typical story about over the top violence but it took a surprisingly sweet turn that I did not see coming, this is a super gross story that is true to its word of having heart.

WoW what a read!!

Wow so I went into this completely blind and was hooked from the beginning! This book is certainly nkt for everyone and it will have you seriously grossed out but if you can push through the gross it has an actual deep story. I felt so many feelings reading this book from grossed out to disgust and even sadness. This was an emotional Rollercoaster but if you strap in for the ride it's worth it!

Typical Matt Shaw, absolutely disgusting and vile with a very thought out character build.
Really enjoy this man's work, when I need a complete distraction from life and to be put into a truly horrific scenario which makes all the weirdness of the world right now seem rather dull and boring, I go to Matt Shaw!
3.5 as its not my favourite of Shaws work but I still enjoyed it and felt something towards the main characters.

Fucking Filthy

Well Matt, you've finally done it. I don't read this extreme stuff all the time, but on occasion I spend some time with you. You are a great writer of nasty, gory, well you know what I mean. This book however, I couldn't get past the first couple of scenes. I must admit, as I was reading the first adventure (?) I was actually gagging. By the second I decided whatever was coming I didn't want to know, I didn't need to know. I did know I would be spending some time bowing to the porcelain god, and I don't like to throw up. For those of you with stronger stomachs than mine, you are gonna love it. Have fun😜.

Excuse me while I gag and repeat “oh my god, oh my god, oh my god”….GROSS!!!!

This book was disgusting. You will surely gag. You will be repulsed. You will have a laugh. But in the end, this book is actually sad and will pull at your heart strings.
