About the author

I originally trained and worked as a journalist. I now bring those skills, researching and a nose for a good story, to my non fiction books. I'm fascinated by social history and though not an historian, I try to give a voice to those people that have been overlooked or ignored. I'm happiest in an archive or library reading primary source material. I was also asked to write a children's book which has been very successful and I hope to write another in the same series in 2014.
