Positivity: Confidence, Resilience, Motivation
Do you want more optimism, confidence, resilience and motivation? Then this book is for you! We currently live in a time of unprecedented challenges, uncertainty, overwhelming stress, loss of hope at times and a need for mental strength and adaptability to a new way of life.Traditional 'positive thinking', trying to constantly tell yourself that everything is OK, no matter the circumstances, just isn't enough to make any lasting difference. After 30 years working as a therapist, Paul McKenna has developed a unique approach – one that can guide you towards an all-round feeling of positivity – putting you into optimal states of mind, building up your resilience and enabling good decisions and actions that lead to successful results in life. There is now irrefutable scientific evidence that shows that particular ways of thinking and acting produce tangible positive results in people's ability to deal with challenges and their overall quality of life. The research also shows that this mindset can be learned quickly just like any habit. And that is why this book is a practical psychological system in how to survive and thrive – how to discover your own natural most powerful resources for self-care, self-belief and for taking control of your life.

This book deals with how to gain confidence, resilience and motivation in life. It is not long but is useful and interesting. It includes exercises to be done and a link to downloadable audio files with these exercises. In the end there is a Gratitude journal for 30 days to be filled. The book is worth reading.

sometimes you just need a little boost of positivity!

I love Paul McKenna and was very eager to read this book, but sadly, it left me rather disappointed. Although the general idea is very close to my heart, the practical approach the book promotes is a bit... superficial. Short exercises of the type "Close your eyes and imagine that all is good and that you are utterly happy, breathe in, breathe out, and that's it, Bob's your uncle, you are happy and the world is a magical place" just don't cut it for me.
Better luck next time.

I bought this book only because it was a Daily Deal for £2.99 on Audible, the reviews were good, and I got curious. I've never listened to anything like this before, but I am pleasantly surprised by how much I've enjoyed this book!
Paul McKenna's commentary on motivation, resilience and confidence was intriguing and introduced me to a lot of new ways of looking at and dealing with my issues. I have done only several of the exercises and visualisations so far but found them helpful. I'm looking forward to working through all of them.
Finally, I really enjoyed the author's narration, and that's saying something! I am very particular about the audiobook narrators I choose to listen to, but Mr McKenna's delivery was effortless and most enjoyable.

This book has helped me to feel more confident
This book and the included audio downloads, is short and easy to read and use, and I have found the exercises have helped me to feel more positive and confident. I am already using the techniques in it and will continue to do so. I think it’s a good book to come back to and dip in and out of. It is also up to date (having been published since the pandemic) and includes some helpful ideas related to life post pandemic.

This is my first book from Paul after having completed his course on hypnotherapy. Many of the techniques are taught in the program but by reading them again I noticed the nuance of the language technique he used when we do hypnotherapy, also an important skill to learn in order to tape in our subconscious mind, hence a very good book for me as a revision of what I learned.
I definitely feel more motivated and confident now…at least to pursue what I want.

I have read/ listened to Paul’s material since he produced those cassettes with advice on one side, a trance on the other.
This book is like a distillation of techniques for the main topics of positivity, from Stress, Confidence, Motivation and Resilience.
If you’ve read one of Paul’s previous books, you’ll probably recognise some aspects of them.
A good book to dip into for each aspect.

It's very good, but ended abruptly
I really wish Mr McKenna would go into more exercises and details in this book. It ended kind of abruptly. I very much appreciate the free digital downloads, which he offers to all readers. I'll make use of them.

Not his best. Just an amalgamation of his other books. All repetitive stuff.

This book has helped me change my mindset and the way I deal with stress and negativity. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Vapid self-help ramblings by a hypnotist fraudulently claiming he earned a PhD. Avoid at all cost.

Interesting read in parts. Didn't subscribe to the hypnotism tasks but there was some good snippets of advice.

Fine but felt quite repetitive from his other books

Absolutely loved it!
Very simple and easy to comprehend, yet effective.
I'm planning reading all of his books, because it triggers changes that everybody in today's society need.

Picked this up for free, was a very short book but had a few useful tips

The first book from Paul McKenna I've read and the only I'll need! It isn't very long, it only took 1 week to read it in full, a bit every day with practising the techniques. But it's a book that you can go back to whenever you like. It covers key aspects for a positive life. The audio downloads are a great bonus and are needed to make this overall experience worth your time. I find it better to focus on a technique when he is talking through it. The only issue is I think he forgot to add audio for one of the techniques regarding "problem solving by thinking of someone who is good at solving problems or sorting things out" (page 85). The audio for the Increasing Luck technique is the only one I can't listen to seriously as I end up laughing with the excited tone of his voice.

I am a slow reader, the quickest I've read a book before is about 4 days, until this one, which I read in an afternoon. The book contains short, easy exercises to read and listen to and then practice. I started with the first few thinking they did not work but then each one started to sink in and, with a bit more practice I think can be effective. It is worth giving it a go, anyway, right?

Series of examples and techniques . Very easy to read and actually works but practise makes perfect .
