★ Book 6 of the Quint Adler Series ★ "The Quint Adler thrillers seem to get better with each book!" ~ Ed Eldrige Archer Keats, a prominent businessman, is arrested for the brutal murder of his wife. His legal defense team approaches Quint about joining them as an investigator. Grudgingly, Quint accepts, but quickly realizes this isn't a simple case of "Did he or didn't he?" There's a lot more going on and a whirlwind of suspects begin to emerge. A Knife Through The Heart is a whodunit that will leave you guessing until the final page!
My favorite so far. I had it all figured out and was feeling pretty smug, then you threw a wrench and knocked me down. Good job. I'll get it right next time!
A knife Through The Heart is book 6 in the Quint Adler Thriller series. Well, our favorite P.I. is on a new case. This one is a little different from previous cases. Quint has been called by a defense team preparing to go to trial on a horrific murder case. Walnut Creeks popular restauranteur Archer Keats is getting ready to go on trial for the murder of his wife. Quint has been called in to basically interview potential witnesses, and get as much background information on these witnesses to see if they are fit to put on the stand when the trial starts. Quint is not sure if Archer is guilty or innocent, but he is keeping an open mind. Quint's spidey senses go up and he starts to look at everyone as a suspect, and as always in true Quint Adler fashion, more murder and mayhem ensues. As the story starts to wind down and you think we will find out if Archer is innocent or guilty, there is a holy sh*t twist, that I did not see coming. So I'm going to leave that right there. If you are a Quint Adler fan get this book ASAP!. If you are not familiar with author Brian O'Sullivan and the Quint Adler books, start with book 1 "Revenge At Sea". Then checkout Brian's other stand alone books, you will not be disappointed. I can't wait for Brian's next book, whether it's another Quint Adler book, or a new stand alone story.
Another great read in the Quint Adler series. Each one is better than the last. A little different than previous books but just as intriguing and thought provoking. It kept me guessing right up until the last page. Quint is so easy to relate to, he speaks in words and sentences I can hear myself saying. I love watching him grow in each book. The worst thing I can say is I'm always a little lost when I've finished because I have to wait for the next book to come out.
In the beginning of the book, I found this a bit of a different than others in the Quint Adler series, but in no time, Quint showed himself! We see some familiar and some unfamiliar characters, all adding to the overall story. The main character, Quint, is loveable, outrageous, observant (most of the time), and persistent, all qualities I would want in a PI! In A Knife Through The Heart, he finds himself reluctantly embroiled in a legal case. As the story develops, he cannot help but go off the well-traveled path onto one of his own making. Another 5-star read by Brian O'Sullivan!
I don't think it's easy to write credible dialog. This author's character's voices draw you right in to the situation and personalities and stays true throughout the novel.
The plot twists are genius and have you saying," didn't see that one coming!" Can't wait for # 7.. Best series I've read.
A excellent mystery wrapped in a good murder plot!
Anyone who likes a good mystery should enjoy this book. Lots of twists and turns! The final resolution is not obvious so it really holds your attention. Now on to the next Brian O'Sullivan book.
This one is the best of this series! I hope there will be more. They keep getting better and better. Anyone who loves murder mysteries will enjoy the entire series
"A Knife Through The Heart" keeps you guessing. It's a true whodunit packed with suspicious characters and multiple motives. By the time the story wraps up, you'll be gasping for breath, the effect of "A Knife Through The Heart."
Book 6 of this series and it didn’t disappoint. I think this one has been my favorite so far. It was different premises from the other books and I was sure I had it figured out but I was SO WRONG!
The sixth book in the Quint Alder series is another great one. Each book has a different type of scenario he is investing, and this one was great as well. It kept me guessing until the very last page.
This was good, but not my favourite Quint adventure. It lost me for a bit there in the middle, and I did some skim reading to get to where it got good again!
