Aron and Kenzie . . .
Aron and Kenzie have always been best friends and would have pushed for more if they were not afraid of destroying their friendship. They go to a bar and a couple of bullies almost beat Aron to death! But suddenly a light of some kind appears and he turns on the bullies. He may have killed them, but Kenzie stopped him.
The next day, Aron’s wounds are healed and a visitor at the door announces he had been picked as the High Ruler! He and Kenzie go with the man, but is everyone he meets trustworthy? Does their wanting Aron’s power put Kenzie in danger as a means of controlling him? Who can they trust, or are they on their own?

This could have been so much better
The concept of the story was great. the world building the well done and intriguing but there was just something that was lacking in the story . I want to say it was possibly maturity that just made the story fall incredibly short

Argumento:
Es un dios virtual, uno de los seres más poderosos de la tierra. Y, él me quiere.
Me lanzan al mundo de la élite mágica, y la única persona que se siente segura es Aron. Es poderoso, caliente como el infierno, y despierta partes de mi alma que no sabía que existían.
Estar con él pone un blanco en mi espalda. Las fuerzas oscuras quieren el poder de Aron y me usarán para llegar a él. Estoy rodeado de alfas y me veo obligado a confiar en criaturas mágicas de las que no sé nada.

Mi humilde opinión:
Eternity Shifters de Lola Gabriel es una serie paranormal/fantasía sobre cambiaformas y otra clases de seres mágicos. En Wolf’s Reign nos cuenta la historia de Aron y Kenzie dos cambiaformas de lobo.
El ritmo fue muy lento para mí gusto pero luego la lectura mejoró. Si bien no tuvo muchos giros y sorpresas inesperadas, estuvo bien para un inicio de serie. Tenía un romance de amigos a amantes dulce con algo de angustia, acción con lobos, complot, tracción y un misterio por resolver.
Lo más llamativo fue el mundo mágico. Había una jerarquía entre toda clase de seres mágicos. Me gustaron los detalles de los dones y los cambios de cada ser poderoso luego de convertirse en supremo gobernante. Cada uno escogido por la misma magia, lo hace superior en poder y su deber es dirigir y proteger en una región del país. Me recordó a un rey en un palacio, en el caso de Aron era un edificio lujoso en NY. Estos líderes solo pueden intervenir cuando se trata de una amenaza extrema.
Aron y Kenzie son dos lobos que pasan de no tener nada a un mundo de riqueza pero también de peligros e intrigas.
Me gustó que Kenzie y Aron fueran inseparables y que ella estuviera siempre para él. No duda en acompañarlo cuando él se convierte en gobernante y se muda. Tenían una linda relación basada en la confianza y lealtad. Se hizo esperar para que por fin confesaran sus sentimientos pero al final fue un momento lindo. No hubo escenas picantes, fue más bien apasionado pero ligero.
Aron tenía algo adorable para mí que era su buen corazón y timidez pero... también quería que tuviera más confianza cuando se convirtió en gobernante.
No podía creer que él dejara a Kenzie porque se lo aconsejaron. Él podría haberla cuidado con lo poderoso que era! Me pareció una tontería que la dejara cuando ya habían iniciado una relación. Horrible porque Kenzie ya se había vinculado a él como su pareja! Además, ella le dijo que aceptaba el riesgo, era decisión de ella también! Así que Aron me enojó, me pareció poco considerado e inmaduro.
Cómo puede invitar a comer a Kenzie como si no le hubiera roto el corazón y luego de días de ignorarla? También quiere que se quede con él cuando ella sufre por la separación. Le repite te amo y que era una separación temporal cuando él no sufría tan profundamente como ella. Esperaba más de él que la tonta excusa 'te dejó porque quiero protegerte'.
Ahora Kenzie es otra cosa. Valiente y decidida. Tenía su corazoncito y la pasó mal con el rechazo de Aron pero siguió ayudándolo. Me encantó cuando se convirtió en detective y descubrió el complot, intuía que algo estaba mal y consiguió las pistas. Si le tengo que poner un pero, me hubiera gustado más que ella diera pelea o se las arreglara con su ingenio en lugar de que llegara Aron como caballero de brillante armadura a rescatarla.
En general disfruté el libro, el próximo es de un cambiaformas de dragón, Pax, que aparece en este libro también.

This book is about Kenzie and Aron, both wolf shifters, and best friends for the past twenty years. However, Kenzie feels something stronger than friendship for Aron, but she isn’t sure if he feels the same way. While Kenzie and Aron were having a drink, two other members of their pack, Slade and Mac, approached their table. Both were troublemakers and rather than fight the two of them, Aron and Kenzie left the bar. The guys followed them outside and both ganged up on Aron, beating him half to death. But suddenly, a bright light shone from Aron and his strength grew and his reaction time got faster; he was turning the tables on the two bullies. It took Kenzie screaming for him to stop before he killed them to finally break through to him as he left both Slade and Mac injured and dazed in the alley.
Back at Aron’s apartment, Kenzie treated his wounds, including his broken left wrist, which should take two to three days to heal. However, the next morning, his wrist was totally healed and to their astonishment, he had the mark of a High Ruler on the underside. Right as they made this discovery, someone pounded on Aron’s door. It was Filip, another High Ruler, there to take Aron to New York and help him transition into his duties as a new High Ruler. It seems that the father Aron never knew was Piotr, the former High Ruler of the Northeast Quadrant. Fortunately for Kenzie, Aron refused to go without her.
The world building in this book was fairly limited, but the descriptions of the “Palace” where Aron was to live were still done very well. The character development was really good, as Aron and Kenzie found themselves in the midst of what felt like a den of vipers. And you have the question of whether Aron ever reciprocates the deeper feelings that Kenzie has for him. The antagonists were equally well developed and the mysteries of who was friend or foe were tantalizing. This book grabbed my attention from the first sentence and kept it all the way through. I love the way Lola Gabriel tells a story!

Lola Gabriel doesn't know how to dissapoint her readers. Ms. Gabriel delivered another engaging story with wonderful characters that grab your attention quickly and has you hoping that true love always comes out on top. This new series, Eternity Shifters, starts with the WOLF’S REIGN. You will quickly become engaged in this well-written storyline that flows smoothly from the start to the end.
The interaction and chemistry between Aron and Kenzi really makes this story one you will be quickly turning pages, eager to find what danger, secrets and love are ahead.
Aron is the lowest wolf in the pack when he suddenly inherits a title and power he had no idea would be his. He moves to New York with Kenzi, his childhood friend, to find out what his new life is about. What he discovers is a world full of political power struggles, deceit and love. The only person he can trust is his friend Kenzi.
There is a great combination of action, drama, even some witchcraft thrown in and some light, steamy romance.

'Wolf's Reign' by Lola Gabriel is the first book in her new series Eternity Shifters and tells the story of Kenzie and Aron, wolf shifters, and best friends for the past twenty years. They both would like to become more then friends but are afraid of ruining their friendship. Aron is the lowest wolf in the pack when he suddenly develops a power he has never shown. Turns out he is actually a high ruler and must move to New York. He refuses unless Kenzi moves with him, she is the only person he can trusts.
Ms. Gabriel does not disappoint. This is a fantastic story to kick off her new series. The story is emotional, with some angst, laughs, secrets, trust issues, passion, and plenty of steam. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes some drama with their romance.

This is a NON-SOILER REVIEW of Wolf's Reign, the first book in the Eternity Shifters series by Lola Gabriel. I really enjoyed this read. From the first scene in the bar to the closing page, I thought the writing was amazingly incandescent. For me, this story was written in pictures! I could see the entire story unfolding in my mind and loved every minute of it! Kenzie and Aron had sizzling chemistry and the strong supporting characters each had their own story they wanted to tell! Lots of action, intrigue, strong emotions TBR must have! There is resolution in this story and you get a feel for the next story coming in the series.

Enjoyable read
A little slow to get going but overall a pretty good story. What really impressed me was the female main character. I have read so many books lately where the female lead is either: irrational, an idiot, overly emotional, helpless, destructively independent, comedic relief, hyper focused on sex, a clothes horse, cripplingly insecure, obnoxiously crude, or just a boring stereotype. This was NOT the case. It was very refreshing not to roll my eyes every few pages when reading a book. Story wise, the plot was a bit simple and the “twist” easy to figure out. It felt a bit rushed (especially early on) but overall it seems like a good start to a new series and I am actually looking forward to reading the next one.

Wolf's Reign is book one in the Eternity Shifters series and is Aron and Kenzie's story. Aron and Kenzie are best friends and wolf shifters whose relationship goes from friends to fated mates with some interesting twists along the way. The writing is well done, the characters are likable and the story is packed with intrigue, suspense, steam, and danger make this a page turning read. I am loving this new series so far and I look forward to reading the next book. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

unsuspected life changes
Wolf’s Reign is book one in the series Eternity Shifters by author Lola Gabriel. Ok so at the ending of the story the author asks you, “Love this romance?” Yep - sure did. It’s a sweetheart tale with lots of mystery, bits of drama and some subtle hints of darkness. Really enjoyed the start of this series. Can’t wait to read the next one.
The characters are amazing they feel real - like I could see them in an everyday setting. Anywho, I’ll leave you with the only suggestion- read it for yourselves- you’ll be surprised and happy.

Aron and Kenzie have known each other since 8 years old and best friends, they loved the other but afraid of saying anything. Aron became a high Ruler over the Northeast Quadrant when his father died. He asked Kenzie to be his advisor because he couldn’t leave her behind. So many things going on Marius sure was a surprise to me, had expected it from Dorian and Sebastian! Can’t wait to get the next book! Lola Gabriel never disappoints!

This book immediately pulled me in and wouldn’t let me put it down. Loved the idea of the high rulers, and how Aron was picked. It was awesome how Kenzie went after what she believed in, no matter the danger to herself. This book is so full of suspense, drama, intrigue, danger, and wow the surprises, I loved everything about this book. The characters are well developed with strong descriptions.

Page turning Wolf story
Well this was truly a page turner for me! Lola created a riveting Story in the paranormal world. Aron and Kenzies story was layered and interesting . This was a different kind of paranormal world, that keeps you reading to see what's going to happen next! I see it as many life lessons on Love, trust, difference, working together, and adapting and more. Great read. Now let's see what's going to happen next !

I enjoyed this story, I think it's the first in a new series and tells us about how Aron was chosen to receive a magical power and to become a God-like being and ruler. The story pulled me into both Kenzie and Aron's lives and didn't let go, there's lots of action, secrets, lies, and betrayal. Oh and don't forget the love!

Loved it! Surprisingly refreshing different take on the paranormal shifter genre. Not a long read, but filled with enough intrigue and drama to keep it interesting. Kenzie is one smart cookie and Aron's insecurities take a hike just in time. Looking forward to book 2.

Such a Great Story!!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. I love almost all of the characters and I loved the storyline so much. Aron and Kenzie shared a bond that was extremely strong and special. I knew who the bad characters were and glad they got their comeuppance. On to Pax’s story. 😊😊😊😊😊💜💜💜💜💜🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I really enjoyed this story. Life definitely changes when your best friend suddenly becomes a virtual god in shifter society. Aron and Kenzie are perfect for each other! Loved this romance.

Another fantastic read from Ms. Glass. Deliciously dark and sinful. Great characters, well written storyline. Would recommend. Cannot to read more from this author

I enjoyed the story. It was just annoying that Aron had to be told by someone else that his best friend was in love with him. Kenzi always had his back, no matter what. As wolves, Aron should have sensed her fast heart beats or her reactions when in each other' s presence.
