As a mom of a few little people, I find this layout to be super helpful to have consistent and daily reading. This is my second time going through this Daily Reading Bible and I will use it again!

-I don’t always read all of the notes though 😬 so I have no thoughts for those.

I feel like I learned a lot about myself and Bible studying habits/preferences this year. While I'm so grateful to have finally read through the whole Bible, I think the lack of cohesivity and sizeable text to read through every day was not for me. This plan goes through the Bible in printed order, so part of Genesis and Matthew to start out, with a bit of Psalms and Proverbs everyday. What I wish this plan would have done is structure it in a way that we can better see the parallels between the old and New Testaments. I also think the small amount of Psalms and Proverbs a day were not very useful as you often wouldn't get the full contest of the 1-3 verses to read each day. Overall, not sure I'll ever attempt a challenge like this again, I think I prefer studying the Bible at my own pace, but very glad I stuck with it!

I gave this four stars because it’s God’s word and I like the OT/NT/Psalm/Proverb daily split, but I think you’d be better off just getting a good study Bible and following a reading plan.

The study notes in this one are not comprehensive and seem to be somewhat randomly selected at times. For example, he’ll include a block of notes in a section that explains a word, phrase, or historical detail that doesn’t add to the reading selection at all, while not having anything that covers theological concepts or exposition. Maybe there isn’t much to say about the section in question, but in that case I would save the space and include more notes in areas where it’s warranted.

Many of the blurbs at the end of each daily reading are also pretty surface-level. If you’re a MacArthur fan, I’d just get his study bible, otherwise I’d recommend the ESV or Reformation study bibles.

Many typos in this Kindle edition. Very disappointing. I love the MacArthur Daily Bible in print but this version was put together in a sloppy manner. In one chapter in the book of Acts there were 6 typos in a single chapter. Inexcusable with all of the technology available today.

Just finished reading this awesome Bible!

I love this Bible, and the insight of Pastor MacArthur. The NASB is easy to read, and it feels so good to have read the whole Bible in a year! I kept at it and now I am ready to do it again! I love the format!!! What a great Bible!

Great Biblical commentary

I appreciated the commentary at the end of each day. I believe anyone who is starting to read the Bible would gain much information from the commentary. Many people have a hard time understanding the Bible and I would recommend this copy
