Abbie I’ve lived in Foxtail Ridge my entire life and I love everything about it. Okay, almost everything. The one thing I don’t love? The dating scene—it’s almost non-existent. But I’m not worried, because I’m not looking for love. Between helping my sister Kelsie with her Bed & Breakfast and playing Cupid, I’ve got my hands full. But little do I know, fate has a little something in store for me. And it comes when I least expect it.
Stacy Kristen is an indie author of spicy contemporary romance, romantic suspense, and dark romance books with HEAs. She's an avid reader of romance and enjoys baking, drinking lots of caffeine, traveling, and laughing with the squirrels in her backyard.
With All I Ever Needed, Stacy Kristen has written the perfect companion to All I Ever Wanted, bookending her holiday themed Christmas/Valentine’s series. While the first book focused on Kelsie opening the Reindeer Inn B&B, this sequel belongs to sister Abbie, an editorial consultant assigned to help grumpy author Matt Ellis out of his writer’s block funk. Sparks fly as their initial virtual meeting gets off to a rocky start, leading to some terse banter between the two opposite personalities that ramps up the tension as they fight their undeniable attraction. Fortunately, once Abbie and Matt put down their swords and let down their guards, they’re finally able to collaborate and realize the love match right in front of their eyes. This novella is a lovely, quick read, sure to zing you in the feels like Cupid’s arrow.
It really does pain me to leave a one-star review. I do not like doing it. I know writing is a tough thing to do.
That being said. The usage of the "!" was overwhelming.
The fact that she slept with someone else in the story was a huge turnoff for me. It doesn't matter that they were not even together or just a small blimp on each other's radars.
I did not like Abbie. It was generally her personality. When she was supposedly "teasing" Matt, she just came off bitchy and rude. I know Matt didn't give off a great impression at first. He wasn't anything but nice to her in the end.
There was no connection between characters. They started engaging more at the end of the story.
The lack of descriptions and stilted conversations that were supposed to be professional.
This novella is about Abbie, a editorial consultant who has been assigned a new client, Matt an author. He needs her help with his writing block but their first online meeting does not go well, as he is grumpy and does not want to implement any of the changes that she recommends. He meets her in the small town she lives in (which was initially an unpleasant surprise) as he wanted to come and apologise to her in person for his initial unpleasantness. The longer Matt stays in town, the more they become attracted to one another when Matt decides to complete his book in her small town. This book needs editing as there were a few errors. The characters nor the storyline were well developed but nonetheless it was a pleasant clean read. I rate this book 3.5*.
Looking for a Valentine's day read? THIS. IS. IT. It's what you've been looking for.
❤️ARC REVIEW❤️ I love this grumpy and sunshine slow burn novel. It's perfectly fit for a weekend read or even a binge read if you read both Kelsie's and Abbie's stories.
I loved how cute this story was. There were fun surprises and cute moments in the story, and I am all for it. I had such a great time reading about Abbie's and Matt's growing relationship. They had a few bumps in the way and I got a lot of laughs and cuteness overloads. Another great read from Stacy Kristen!
5/5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

All I Ever Needed is book 2 in Stacy Kristen's "All I Ever" Duet. This Valentine's Novella showcases finding love when and where you least expect it. Abbie and Matt are opposite personalities who find themselves fighting their attraction to each other after entering into a professional relationship. Matt acts on impulse which has Abbie putting her guard up. You can't help but root for him as he pulls out all the stops in an attempt to win the girl of his dreams.
I received and ARC from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
Abbie lives in a small town and is a consultant for writers, when she meets her new client Matt he is grumpy and doesn’t want to listen to her! Matt is a writer who has been having writers block so when he sees beautiful Abbie he doesn’t think he can work with her! Only when he finally starts writing again he decides to go to her hometown and surprise her! Only she thinks he’s stalking her! Now he just has to show her that they belong together and make her his! Great book that I would highly recommend!

This was a super cute novella that brought out different emotions in me quickly. The characters were unique and relatable in the fact that initially I did not really like them, because I didn’t know them. Once the author brought out a little more detail in them I couldn’t help but fall in love with them. She did an amazing job of packing a punch in this novella. It did not feel rushed or like anything was missing. I loved the little glimpses of former series characters. Great job!
What a cute opposites attract, rom-com, story! Abbie is independent and owns her sexuality and hasn’t met a black-bean burger she would turn down! Matt is a writer who has writters blocks that are as thick as he is when it comes to his manners with Abbie. But with some flowers, a sweet note, and a do-over coffee date… he starts to warm her up… or course a snowball fight gone wrong which requires a strip-down doesn’t hurt either.
** 3.5 Stars ** Abbie loves her small hometown of Foxtail Ridge, even if there is not much availability for dating. She is a consultant to writers, but her latest client Matt is grumpy and not cooperative. His writers block is contributing to the mood, but when things got better, he decided to surprise Abbie with a visit. Can he convince her that she should give him a chance? Can he make her see that they are good for each other, despite their initial conflict?
Cute and short Valentine love story. Abbie’s job is to help writers cure their writers black. She meets her client Matt virtually and helps to cure his writers block but he ends up falling for her so he travels to her hometown to apologize for his grumpy behavior and the rest is history. The story was super short so not a lot of back story and the ending was all so rushed to be able to complete the short and sweet story. Overall, very cute and an enjoyable quick read.
Although this is book two from this duet, it is the 1st story from it that I have read and I have enjoyed getting to know Abbie, her family and Matt. I liked seeing their relationship develop and seeing Matt be less grumpy and showing Abbie who he really was, I also liked seeing Matt going after what he wanted and seeing them get their HEA. I thought the story moved along well and it held my interest.

A fun read with a grumpy author and a sassy book editor, have a rocky start. I liked the characters and how well they confronted each other, calling one another out on their attitudes. It was nice slow paced romance, with no major drama, but an enjoyable storyline with a gradual relationship.

Such a wonderful story and just in time for the holiday. 💖
I loved how Abbie played cupid with Kelsie and Reese on All I Ever Wanted, and I wanted her story too. I was so happy to learned that Cupid will indeed be shooting arrows her way!!! 💘
This is a short, sweet with heat, fun read that you don’t want to miss!
“There is most definitely something about Foxtail Ridge, though. The love stories are epic.”
Cutesy Valentine’s Day novella. I think I enjoyed Kels & Reese more, I can’t pinpoint why. But these two are absolutely adorable. Another cute hallmark movie vibe.
