Terrik Qual has crossed through the first barrier and learns that having power in Endswood does not mean that he has power in Middleswood. Through the barrier the monsters are meaner, the people are tougher and Terrik has no allies as of yet. If that wasnt enough trouble, as Kaden Ashborn, he finds out that he doesnt even have a family name anymore. When his family was forcefully put into power by a group led by the Pembertons, they were stripped of title and name. Now he is simply Kaden, Prince of Elmley. His secret of having magic is out and now many families have daughters they wish to place next to him. Just when Terrik thought he couldnt take anymore, Asterion the Minotaur, the same monster that destroyed most of Endswood is in the area and looking for him. Terrik remembers back to when he didn't have anyone trying to kill him. Back to when he was a simple smith instead of The Explorer.
I know a bunch of you have been asking exactly you the heck I am. First off, my name is Whiskey Flowers, I was active duty army and now I am a proud member of the New Mexico National Guard. In my day job, I am a corrections officer, I watch the best and brightest Albuquerque has to offer and make little money doing it. I am originally from Oakland, California, home of dumbasses and knuckleheads everywhere where I attempted to become their leader until the army put me on a different path. As many of you have pointed out, I never got my high school diploma, I am a GED student but I make it look good. If any of you are ever in New Mexico and want a drinking partner, I got you.
I have read numerous Whiskey Flowers over several years the adage ‘improvement comes with doing’ is very true. The books definitely continue to improve in mistakes. To be honest even the early books had good characters and storylines that has never been a negative. The grammar and editing have been issue but never so I couldn’t read. There have been a few of the older / several years ago that did pull me out of the reading but could figure / deduce what was intended quickly enough to continue. NO one should complain about price I mean most authors don’t practically give away there efforts ($1)! I for one completely enjoy all the books but I definitely haven’t read them all because don’t have time. Definitely look forward to more the Traveler and especially the next book of Wizardborn. Definitely can see I am not alone since the amount of comments is increased for the latest bunch of books for 2022! I follow Whiskey Flowers and check to see when new books are available which I am happy is more frequent then I can read - like Christopher G Nuttall (I wonder if it is more than one person😁 writing under same name due to the volume e-published)!
So fun. I really enjoyed the first book in the series, interestingly enough I actually received the first book as a PDF from Mr. Flowers when I emailed him to see if he was ok. I hadn’t seen a new book in a while. He took pity on me and sent me 3. How exciting it is to be able to not only buy it but also the sequel. As Mr. Flowers will tell you the books he writes are The kind to help you forget about your troubles. As someone with Cancer I am totally addicted to his books and am a total re reader.
It’s fun to read this book. With all the actions and adventures going on, it seemed like it’s not enough. And just like Whiskey Flowers’ fashion way of writing, it has no definite end to the story which leaves you hanging. The author has a lot of ideas going on in one book which sometimes sidelined the plot of the story. It has a lot of confusing twist and turns and needs major editing so badly. But in spite of all that, I would still recommend this book/series for those who loves to be entertained and escape to a world of fantasy and adventure.
I am never really sure what to write in these reviews, I mean no one really cares about my personal opinion, or at least they shouldn't. I really like Whiskey Flower's books. The main characters can be quite complicated emotionally as most have gone through some tragedy or have been ostracized in one way or another. In this particular series the main character seems to be quite intelligent and crafty while still being an overall good individual, I do hope that there is a third book and that he remains that same overall good character.
It's an ok book, something to pass the time while waiting on your favorite author to get her or his book written and out there. I like the concept, but the thing is the story gets hung up on romance or the man goes gaga over a girl or some crap
We don't need that in the story, just get on with the adventure no need to add romance or flings or whatever. I just want to read about the adventure, if I wanted sex and romance, I'd have gotten a book on that from the women authors.
Few typos but I'm okay with that. You know what I love about this author, she is all over the map in the fantasy genre. Super heroes, sword and sorcery, vampires, you name it. Another thing is that she drops six books at a time. Takes up a whole weekend of sci-fi/fantasy delight.
Kaden's dual lives allow him to benefit form training and power from both worlds. He has plans in both lives. It is hilarious when bullies underestimate him only to find out he is more capable than they are. I like the action, humor, and romance. I look forward to another book.
Excellent continuation way to short though love this dual world thing going on still unclear about the whole sleeping and waking like neither one of your life has assassins after you.
The plot is different with the MC living lives in 2 different worlds. I like the development of the characters and the story. Can’t wait to see what the next book will be like
I don't know how you keep coming up with these great story ideas, but please keep it up, I completely enjoy reading them. ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺
I enjoyed this book a lot, but it had pretty glaring issues that the author keeps glossing over, that being said I can’t wait for the next one in the series.
A book that uses the first person point of view allows you to become so involved with the story that you can forget all your stress for a little while. This writer does it extremely well.
I liked the book. Lots of action with characters that were developed into believable people. Only draw back is is style of writing does not vary much. Still fun read.
A great follow up to the first book and follows on where that left of. The story floors and keeps you engaged. Hopefully this tale will continue soon. Enjoy
Enjoyed the story line and characters created. Few books have enticed me to want to continue with the next book in the series. Thanks for the adventure!
Continued adventures of Kaden...great book very entertaining. I love your different views on magic and how it works. Looking forward to reading many more of your books.
It was a good sequel. Better than the first. Editing was good. Not much character development but tons of world building. I hope there will be a book 3
