A Must Read
Demontae really have the weight of the world on his shoulders. He's doing the best he can taking care of his little brother Benji who is Autistic, dealing with his drugged out mother, trying to make money to take care of home, to Emery nagging him about his time but unforseen circumstances causes Benji to be taken from him. There's just something about Emery I don't really care for. I don't like how she feels Demontae supposed to choose her over his little brother. Drip was a damn creep and pedophile who like teenage girl's and don't mind taking what he wants. As much bs he talked about Demontae. It showed how jealous and bothered he was by hin. Emery knew the beef between Drip and Demontae. She should've stayed away from Drip because he ended up violating her. She should've told Demontae the truth after it happened because it didn't end well when it came from Drip mouth and it lead to Demontae having a unknown enemy he has no clue about and that is in his circle. Michaela was hurt after Demontae was honest with her. She felt played but he didn't really play her. Her hurt feelings lead her to give Mahzi a chance not knowing he was the opp until overhearing a conversation. Something is up with that Social Worker Ms. Vaughn. She seems sneaky and scandalous. I'm looking forward to part two.

This wss an ok read! I felt bad for Benji he should've been taken care of better than that especially with his disability. Sonya was a sad worthless woman. DeMontae was the best big brother Benji could've ask for, bcuz come hell and high water he was taking care of his brother. I don't feel bad for Emery bcuz first of all she should've never went to another man to smoke with him in the first place especially your man enemy. She should've told DeMontae about it when it first happened. Keeping secrets ain't never good in a relationship. Drip just got his karma ole hatin ass. Mahzi gonna be just like Drip dead once DeMontae and Tron finds out he's dirty. Lord poor little Michaela ain't no she getting used by Mahzi. 🤦🏾♀️ Why is it always a snake in the camp? And Mahzi the damn snake! Emery act so childish and petty like hoe get out of your feelings. 🙄Michaela done went and got pregnant. I need part 2 asap!

Damn Kaye you did the damn thing with this book so many secrets and lies and top it of betrayal . Emery is going to be mad about the baby but shit who knows she might be to lol I can’t wait for part 2 Z or what ever his name is out for blood so a lot of smoke in the air plus I think the caseworker In in some thing I just don’t know what

This book was good started off a little slow but baby! DeMonte has a lot on his plate , he need to focus on Benji and not get involved with those two women . Emery I don’t trust cause she went to Drips knowing she shouldn’t be hanging out at his house.

This was a good read so many twist and turns that happened. DeMontae had so much going on with him. Poor Benji..I waa glad he had his brother and Michaela. Emery was a bit selfish but she too experienced a lot....the ending really surprises you.
