In a world where soulmates have the ability to write on each other's skin, Spike finds himself shackled to a five-year-old Buffy Summers, who (for once) listens to her mother's advice about not handing out personal information. With no way of tracking the annoyance down, Spike is forced to endure a decade of unavoidable communication.
When Spike finally arrives in Sunnydale and discovers his soulmate is none other than the Slayer, he revels in the notion of a destined death match, but the Powers That Be have other plans...
I haven’t read fanfiction in over three years, but watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer again pulled me right back in—and of course, it had to be Spuffy that did it. I really liked this. The author did a great job weaving in elements from the show while also introducing some original storylines that felt fresh but still true to the characters. Spike was a big softie but at the same time he was same old him. I definitely appreciated he didn’t change in the end—Buffy loved him just as he is. 4.50 ⭐️
