This is an awesome devotional. Each day it has two devotionals. Sarah Young tells us the way how to incorperate God's Word into our dayly lives and then prints the verses from they came.
I recommend this devotional to all.

I absolutely love this devotional. Sarah Young writes in such a way that is both informative, Biblically accurate and conversational - starting the dialogue between you and God.

July 13, Morning:
I want you to experience the riches of your salvation: the Joy of being loved constantly and perfectly. ...Instead of trying to "fix" yourself, fix your gaze on me, the Lover of your soul. Each passage, written as if Jesus is speaking directly to you, is rooted in scripture and accompanied by Bible verses. So in just 5-10 minutes, I'm able to connect with God by learning a new aspect of who He is every day. The length is perfect for a busy schedule (or someone like me who likes to sleep until the last second) and allows me to start and end my day the right way - with God. It's spoken into my life many many times and has helped grow my faith tremendously over the past year - through highs and lows.

The Jesus Is Calling Morning and Evening Devotional is so accessible that anyone can benefit, no matter their place in their walk with the Lord. Since receiving mine as a baptism gift, I've bought several as gifts for others! I highly recommend it.

I set this devotional bedside and used it as rose in the morning, and went to bed at night. In the morning, it set the stage for my private time. I used it to start my devotional time. It would often trigger a particular worship song in my mind. I found it to be a great companion to my Bible study plan as it would set my mind on the right things before I dove into worship, prayer, and reading of scripture. At night, it helped frame my mind before I went to sleep so that I was meditating on the right things.

I loved the mini devotions for the morning and evening. It was great when I didn't have a lot of time but still wanted to make time to read a devotion. There were many days that I felt the verses were chosen just for me and that is why I gave it 5 stars because it spoke to me when I needed it and directed me to verses that I needed at the time throughout the year.

It was funny how God used this book to get my wife and me through her breast cancer journey. She and I were both reading it and we found ourselves texting or calling each other often to discuss how a particular day’s reading was spot on for our situation. This book really touched my heart - it was like Jesus was speaking to me every day! The book contains no overtones of a single religion, but is directly tied to Scripture. I would definitely recommend it to all who want to get closer to the Lord and I will be rereading this one again!

I rated with this rating because it goes above and beyond just connecting me with God in the morning and ending the day with Jesus. It helps me have a day that goes smoother and a night that I sleep more restful. It is all in one book. Praise God.

Jesus Calling by Sarah Young was the very first daily devotional I read by her, and it remains one of my favorites. I love starting my mornings with it—especially on the harder days—because there’s always something in the day’s reading that lifts my spirit and helps me feel closer to Jesus.

One of the things I appreciate most about Sarah Young’s writing is the way she gently connects Scripture to everyday life. At the end of each devotional, she references two to four Bible verses that inspire that day’s message. The verses themselves aren’t printed in the book, so you look them up in your own Bible or online—something I actually enjoy, because it encourages me to spend more time in the Word.

Jesus Calling is a perpetual devotional, so you can return to it again and again, turning to whatever day your heart needs.

This is the 2nd year I’ve started reading this wonderful devotional. I read it daily and find it very insightful. I enjoy digging deeply into each verse and message for the current day. That really helps me focus on different ways to apply to my daily life.
I have given this same book to so many of my friends and family. There’s something satisfying and peaceful to me to know that we’re reading the same thoughts on the same day.
I keep extra copies of this book in my car, and I’ve even given it to a number of homeless people I’ve come across. I’ve found as we visit together, they often open up more as we share our stories.

I found this to be a wonderful devotional for early morning and bedtime meditation. I was amazed how many times it seemed to speak directly to me and my circumstances. I appreciated the verses that accompanied each text. I read with my Spiritual Formation Bible with notes from Timothy K. Jones. I found the two to work very well together.
