Code-X5 has turned rogue. Thanks to new technology developed by Prince Helios, Clora is now being hunted by her own Guardian. Now Clora must run for her life from the very Skel sworn to protect her, but there’s more at risk than the princess’s wellbeing. Bastion is on the run with Clora, carrying the only existing copy of Prince Dima’s freedom virus. If he is caught by the rogue X5, the Rebellion could lose everything.
Meanwhile, Prince Helios faces troubles of his own. Fighting an addiction and losing every battle in this war, he is spiraling out of control and his father, the king, has noticed. Will Prince Helios meet his reckoning, or will he finally succeed in catching his sister, ending the Rebellion, and eliminating Code-X5?

I'm still enjoying this awesome series and looking forward to reading more. There was only one thing which disappointed me in this book, but most readers will not be bothered by it. My personal preference, as a Christian, would be to see main characters who are heroes adhering to Christian morals. Or if they don't, seeing them recognize the sin for what it is and take whatever steps needed to get back on track. I expect villains to act without regard to good morals, but not heroes. As I said, this is a personal preference. The book is still technically clean, but the reader won't be left in the dark as to what occurred. I still recommend the series and plan to finish it. I like how the plot is moving along at this point and hope to see a lovely redemption arc. Even if that doesn't happen, I can truly say this series was worth the time and money!
Sexual content: Surprisingly, Leo did not do as he normally does and sleep with 70 women... However, for some reason, X5 and Clora somehow... did the dance. I found it disturbing and that whole situation is the sole reason for three stars. Its closed door, but they are not married and hadn't even confessed there love for one another prior. I understand people make mistakes and that X5 is not a Christian, but Clora should have done better. I expected better from the protagonists.
Language: N/A
Gore: People lose limbs, though not graphically. There is battles and such as well.
Drugs: Leo talks about wanting it, but he is breaking the habit of using shade.
Clora was not my favorite in this. I thought she was getting stronger in her faith... But her actions with X5 say otherwise. I understand humans make mistakes, but come on girl. He's a robot. A respectful one at that. You could have said no.
X5 disappointed me as well. Saddening that the author chose to add that part in there.
Leo is growing on me.
I am very excited to see more of S14!
The end bc this book disappointed me. I hope the series redeems itself.
