Remus turns. Sirius looks delightful; wine-flush and December drizzle painting his pale, pretty face the deepest carmine red. His spindly hands are twiddling at his front, as if he doesn’t know quite what to do with them. He sniffs, and exhales corporeal ice that sends a shiver running down Remus’ spine. He’s not sure if it’s from the cold or the alcohol or… something else.
Taylor Swift + Wolfstar + fake dating trope = absolute perfection. This is one of the most incredible fics I’ve ever read. This is the second fic by this author that I’ve read and she has an incredible way with words. The characters are always beautifully fleshed out, her imagery is absolute perfection, and the pacing of the plot always keeps me on my toes. I would recommend any fic by her (but especially this one!)
this book is so cosy and soft and cute and lovely it was such a fun read!! remus and sirius were sooo <33 also marlene and dorcas <33 i don’t know who i want more 🤭 i loved the dorlene and wolfstar friendship so so much and omg. it’s always christmas with the potters (which i love and support) but what about christmas in wales with the lupins?? this is already so special to me. words CANNOT describe how much i loved this. my heart is so warm and it’s about to burst ahhh
also goddamn?? can we talk about moonymoments writing??
“Sirius is his breath. He’s water in the palm of his hands and fire in the breadth of his throat, Remus is sick, he’s entangled, petals and ruin and honeycomb spice.”
“It’s so real. It’s so real. It’s the realest thing Remus has ever felt, Sirius all over him, Sirius in his bloodstream, in his mouth. It’s perfect and it’s beautiful and it’s nothing short of divine. He can’t be anything else. They can’t be anything else, they’re everything and they’re nothing, they’re people aligned in space and time, a billion in one chance of transfusion. They’re welded together. ”
“He tastes like one, cherry carmine and pine needles and spilled coffee on his tongue. Cleaning it up with wet open-mouthed kisses down his neck, hands over his chest, up and all over him like overgrown ivy. Magnificent and breathless and perhaps more exquisite on stolen time, red around his peripheral vision, red stained fingertips. His touch bleeding into Remus’ mouth and flapping through his body like Sirius’ shirt in the wind, like his hair fluffed against the pillow, throat open and bobbing and mine, his.”
It's over and I'm crying. Fuck that ending was perfect. The last page gave me a feeling in my chest. And that last fucking sentence bro. I CANNOT EVEN. And all those easter eggs with references to the lyrics of the song..... Sleeping through the day??? Calling you babe??? I'm leaving??? STAYING AT MY PARENTS HOUSE??? THE ROAD NOT TAKEN??? YOU IN MY HOMETOWN??? (fuck I just understood the epilogue bro). This fic is so heartwarming and Christmassy and aaaaah. A perfect quick Christmas read. I love Jude so much oh my god. I think this is like theee 7th fic by them that I read? Idk. It's crazy how good their writing is. Insane. Happy holidays <3
Taylor and Wolfstar are truly the things that keep me going through the season.
This short fic was absolutely adorable—though I probably should have read it around Christmas time—it still evoked that wintery feeling.
Remus’ family was so endearing, and the Wolfstar dynamic was just perfect. I can’t help but love them.
That said, I felt the writing became a bit too flowery towards the end, with an overuse of metaphors to describe the simplest things, which became a bit grating. But the conclusion was beautifully written.
I don’t think anything will top Pink Lemonade by the author , but all in all it was cute!
quotes I liked:
“You don’t… you don’t have to give anyone more of yourself than you want to.”
“What if,” Sirius says into the quiet, soft and timid, “I want to give more of myself to some people, but I don’t know… how
And that's that. Sirius nods. He’s fighting a smile and somehow it’s prettier than the smile itself.
If I knew everything, what would be the point in continuing?
Sirius’ gentle hands gripping onto something that has never been much of anything before he reached for it.
And perhaps they were always going to end up here, anyway. The bridge between what they were and what they are lies thin between such concepts of like and dislike, hate and love; they have too much passion clattering through their bones to be something simple, something defined.
“You are my most authentic self.“
As earnest as he can. Sirius is a windswept wonder, he’s the peak of snow, the first fall of it. The magic.
He’s all of the magic. Remus is drunk on it. He has a lifetime supply. He doesn’t want this to end.
Probably one of the best fics I’ve ever read. Each word was meaningful and created such a beautiful story. It was rich and fulfilling and heartfelt and heartwarming. Remus and Sirius’ relationship is so complex and so simple at the same time and it was just such a great story. I downloaded it and most of this book is highlighted, each sentence felt decisive and special. The author did such a good job with it in every sense of the word — it’s obvious that she has great talent with words and that they put a lot of effort into creating a story as beautiful as this. Probably will be rereading soon!
“He looks so free. He is so free. Carefree like a hawk, just as high too, a ray of sun and a wisp of a cloud. He's in the air and he will never come down.“
“They are nothing but two people, two specks of dust in the universe, finding serenity in their hands in hair and their tongues, acquainted, reunited.”
“It's almost metaphysical how stunningly they fit together, how he gives over his essence, how he places the reigns in his burnt palms and how he holds onto him like they're sinking and he's the last thing he wants to touch.”
“They're everything and they're nothing, they're people aligned in space and time, a billion in one chance of transfusion. They're welded together.”
Ok so this was realllyyyy good i enjoyed it a lot. Teacher au always is a treat plus i love like the detail the author put into Remus’ home life and their relationship. After i finished i was like wow that didn’t feel like 70k it felt like 30k! And then i remembered it’s because the author tends to use really fluffy language that in all honesty doesn’t make a lot of sense. Like the dialogue is absolutely fantastic (except for the make-up scene i was cringing so bad 😭) but the descriptions of events don’t really make sense like the allusions and comparisons are not understandable at all if im being honest. But hey it’s good! Was definitely worth my time
This was a great Love Story! Full of cliché book tropes, yet they fit perfectly into the narrative and timeline. However, the best part is definitely the insanely amount of Taylor Swift lyrics, it felt like a huge Easter Eggs hunt for Swifties! The author applied those lyrics so beautifully together into this story, I'm honestly amazed by this immense cleverness. A real Mastermind! Long Story Short, I highly recommend every bookworm Swiftie to read it, and don't forget to highlight all the TS songs! Most fun I ever had, and I’d do it over and over and over again if I could.
beautiful beautiful story. i stand by my belief that the best and most meaningful quotes i’ve ever heard of always seem to come from fan fiction on the internet made by teenagers at 2am. I really loved seeing remus slowly fall harder and harder until the whole world revolved around sirius. A literal definition of “he fell first (sirius), but he fell harder (remus). so cute.
Was a warm hug in book form. * Enemies to loves - check * Fake dating - check * "There's only one bed" - Check * ALL the comfort character - check * Wonderful Christmas vibes - check * Beautifully written, it was like reading poetry - check * All encapsulated by my 2nd favorite Taylor song -Check Safe to say this was a beautiful story.
expected much more angst because of fake relationship trope but fortunately it was good. it was real and sweet, liked the characterization and dynamics! i guess woolfstar and taylor swift can't be bad together
This was so beautiful, heartwarming, and fluffy! I absolutely adored it. This is one that I wouldn’t mind reading again next Christmas. It had everything you could want in a Christmas read: cozy vibes, an atmospheric setting, and lots of love and feels.
I rather this a 3.75 I enjoyed the story overall as well as the characters and how they were done in this story I liked the overall build up as well I do wish we got to see a little bit more almost but there was plenty shown already so I didn’t mind what it has cause it’s still a good amount

Why ff authors choose to publish their books FOR FREE when they’re as long as/longer than/as good as/better than traditionally published books, I have no idea. but I will forever be grateful bc are you KIDDING amdnakdjflwhd

When I say I'm obsessed I mean it. I've read this like 10 times now haha. It's just so perfect and fluffy, such a feel-good read. And once again I'm a slut for fake dating so this was 10/10
