Billy has defected from the Union, and Juiz tells the group of the beginning and end of their world. With the organization facing a new turning point, Fuuko and Andy are given a mission in order to clear the quests. That mission? Investigate the rough drafts of Fuuko’s favorite manga, "To You, From Me! "
So glad I decided to pick up this series, it only gets better with each volume! There was a flashback arc that expanded a few things about Andy, especially about his behavior towards Fuuko. I hope this will be a long series, but right now it doesn't feel like it.
Oh, this was a wicked volume! Last bit of the betrayal, we find out about Fuuko's manga obsession and how it is closely linked to all the events now plus meet a new character, and then memories from Andy/Victor (though Victor was just an ass, as expected). I am so happy that Fuuko is finally realising her feelings, now go and act on it! The only thing is that the art at times feels very rough/unfinished.
Tranquillement je me mets à jour dedans.
This volume continues the wild and exciting ride. We get the crew discussing how the world is on loop and Juiz has been using the Arc to get from one loop to the other. It's also revealed that everyone's favorite manga is actually foretelling events in the future and past. So what do they do? Infiltrate Shueisha headquarters by writing the original Undead + Unluck manga, which leads to them meeting the author of the books who then welcomes them into the story of Andy. Fuuko gets dropped into his backstory and has the chance to learn more about Andy while also opening up to him about herself and her beliefs. Their exchange of ideas leads to them coming to understand each other more, and to new battle skills opening as Andy comes to believe that the soul is more than just the brain itself. I loved the meta nature of this volume a lot and had fun learning about Andy's past.

A lot happened in this volume. We learn the truth about how this world works and the character's roles in it. We see a good chunk of Andy's back story. Fukko realizes she loves Andy. And all I can think about is man UMA Autumns design is fucking awesome. It's this cross between a spider and a cicada and it looks like just the outer shell, like the inside could be completely hollow. I think that's such a cool way to protay fall especially since we already had UMA Decay. Like this is the decaying is done. What's left over after all the leaves fall. No way in hell do they do this thing justice in the anime but I'd be curious to see it colored and in motion.
Andy and Fuuko have to make a manga to show an author in order to know what parts of the loop have not happened yet. They base it on themselves Undead (Andy) and Unluck (Fuuko).
We also learn alot more in volume 5 about Andy's past which was very very interesting. Which Fuuko visits to understand him more and give him some memories.
Dec. 7 -2020: Few things terrify me more than how much this arc feels like the end despite it only being 40+ chapters long. I started reading every new series in Jump from chapter one, and I've dropped almost all of them. But I'm still reading Undead Unluck, because it's just that good. However it ends, I'll be satisfied. But I'd love for there to be a boatload of chapters between now and then.
Feb. 9 -2022: This arc is one of the most memorable arcs of 2020 Jump. I vividly remember thinking "I hope this doesn't get cancelled" and look back knowing we've gotten another years worth of content, and not having the stress of whether it was ending or not, I had an even better experience reading this arc. This is going to go down as a Jump staple in the coming years.
Autumn arc is finally here, and we've got Anno Un! It's a bit strange with the whole 'making a manga' subplot but once we actually get to meet Anno Un it goes crazy. It gets really meta with the character talking about how stories work, Fuuko trying to place herself into a story, finally getting even just a bit of Andy's backstory as a "training arc" (literally what they're calling it, of course) is great.
I read the official English translation on an app called “MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA”. I really like the addition of Anno Un to the story and learning more about Andy’s background in this volume. Also, the suspense of the cliffhanger; I’m very excited to see the battle between Victor and Andy.
