Until You

When my personal assistant gives notice so she can take care of her aging father I think nothing of asking her to hire and train her replacement. After all, she knows me better than anyone and I trust her implicitly. But perhaps I shouldn’t have been so quick to trust. Maybe then I wouldn’t find myself saddled with an unbearably chipper, if mouthy, slip of a man that has to wear heels to fulfill his claim of being five-foot-five-inches tall… a man who can’t brew a decent pot of coffee to save his life… a man who seems to effortlessly get under my skin and push all of my buttons. What was I thinking?

I could not help but laugh out loud at the antics of Georgie and think that Pam was one smart lady. This was fun and sweet and a nice twist of falling for the person and not the gender story.

I thought that this was a great book. I really liked Georgie and Lucas together. I really enjoyed the connection and chemistry between these two. These two are sweet together but they don't have an easy road to their HEA; there is some drama, assumptions, and hurt feelings but Lucas and Georgie are able to work things out and get a really sweet HEA. I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Avery Adams as a great author.

Good simple romance
3.5
It's a good romance but it oscillates a bit in style, with the character of Georgie the young assistant who sometimes seemed immature to me (but he is 18 years old) and for someone who has just been get fired from his parents house, he doesn't panic much.
However, I really liked the character of Lucas, the boss who discovers his sexuality through his new assistant.
The story has a touching side, but remains light.

What an enjoyable read
Lucas just lost the best personal assistant he could ever have, she had basically been his mother figure After he’d lost his mum at the age of five and his father thought the best thing to do was bring him to work every day after school. Pam promised to get him a good replacement so Lucas had to leave for a month for work and left it in her hands.
Georgie had just had a rude awakening when his father had decided that if he didn’t go to college then he couldn’t live under his roof. Thankfully his mum Had got him a place to stay with her cousin Pam. And she was offering to training him up to be her replacement personal assistant. But when he looked up Lucas the man was hot as hell. Georgie was open and out there as a gay man And proud. When he finally went to assist Lucas to finish a project his first meeting when they shook hands was a electric. And if this signs pointed anyway it was that Lucas felt it too. They were going to a restaurant to get to know each other.
Lucas didn’t understand Why he got such a shock from shaking Georgie’s hand but chose to ignore it when they got to the restaurant that his friend owned it quickly came apparent that the woman who had basically thrown herself at him since she was 17 was going to make a scene. The owner said to Lucas to use his assistant to let her know he was off the market and gay so she would get the message. But when they kissed everything changed.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely adored Georgie. He just came across as this true guy he said what he felt and lived his life to the full. Lucas bless his heart Had some soul-searching to do because of the feelings he was feeling towards Georgie. Could it be more?? I was so gutted when this book ended I think I could’ve kept reading about them forever. Can’t wait to read the next book by Avery Adams.

Lucas and Georgie's Story . . .

This was a fun story line. Lucas Bennington’s efficient personal assistant, Pam Mills, has to leave her job to care for her aging step-father who needs her because he can’t care for himself and won’t hire a live-in caretaker. He would be miserable in a home, and he had always been there for her so she felt she owed him this. Since she knows Lucas better than anyone else, he lets her do the hiring and training of her replacement. He will be away for the next few weeks on business, so she will have the replacement trained by the time he comes back. Toward the end, he may even ask that the assistant come to New York since he had already gotten Pam a room there when she was going to accompany him.

But to Lucas’ dismay, he gets a man who can’t even make a good cup of coffee and seems to easily get on Lucas’ nerves. Georgie, his new assistant, is Pam’s relative who was kicked out of the house by his father when he refused to go to college. And Pam had said she would train Georgie to do her job and he could stay at her house while she lived with her step-father to care for him. But could he do the job? Could he get serious and try to be successful, if only to show his disappointed father that he has what it takes?

I couldn’t help but enjoy the chemistry that eventually developed between Lucas and Georgie. Things are rarely easy, and they will have some bumps on the way to their HEA if they choose to hold on to their relationship. Grab your copy and find out what the future holds for them.

This is amusing, sweet and interesting. Lucas is a self made millionaire who owns a building restoration company. He has had no luck finding a woman that he connects with, but his job leaves him little time to get upset about it. When he learns that his personal assistant is leaving to care for her father, he insists that she find and train her replacement. Pam agrees, and when her cousin Georgie lands on her doorstep, she decides to train him. Georgie got thrown out of his house because he'd refused to go to college. When Georgie meets Lucas, he knows he's in trouble, because Lucas is sex on a stick. Too bad he's straight. Lucas is confused about his reaction to Georgie, and being with him 24/7 isn't helping matters. They end up fake dating after Lucas is frustrated over a woman. And Lucas starts to wonder just how straight he is.

This is the first book I have read by this author and it won't be the last. I am glad that I took a chance and read this book. It is such a fun, cute read. This is the story of Lucas Bennington and Georgie. Lucas Bennington’s efficient personal assistant, Pam Mills, has to leave her job to care for her aging step-father who needs her because he can’t care for himself and won’t hire a live-in caretaker. Lucas is unwelcoming to change. He also doesn't want to lose the closest thing to a mother figure that he has in his life. But he accepts that she has made up her mind. So he tasks her with finding and training his replacement. Enter Georgie. As Pam's nephew, he is currently jobless and homeless. So when Pam offers to train him on her job, it is game on. When Georgie shows up in NY as Lucas's assistant, there is plenty of shock and adjustment to go around. These two suit each other more than originally expected. This is their story. It is a sweet, low angst read. I enjoyed it from start to finish. It is well written and easy to read. Enjoy.

This was fun! Lucas, lost his Mom at 5, when his Dad told him Bennington men don't cry. He learned to bury all emotion and keep his eye on business. His Dad, took him to the office and dumped him on Pam, who was a young secretary, who stayed with Lucas for 23 years. Pam, must leave her demanding job to go home to take care of her sick Father. She promises to find a replacement at her calibre. Georgie, is kicked out by his Dad, because he has no productive plan, especially college post high school. His Auntie Pam, offers to take him in and give him a job. Lucas, is hetero, but extremely attracted to Georgie when he first meets him. Can a workaholic hetero businessman and an opinionated sassy PA with absolutely no experience form a compatible partnership? Can Georgie keep up with Lucas professionally? Can Lucas keep up with Georgie personally? Totally fun story. The unfolding courtship is a delight to read. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

OMG...I knew this was gonna be cute but after reading it...it was cuteness overload. I absolutely loved Georgie and adored Lucas. This out for you, office romance, age gap romance was just what I needed. I love reading sweet, fun and low angst romances and this one didn't disappoint. There were some parts that was disheartening tho...Georgie's dad was a douchecanoe and an abusive scene that happened towards the end that caught me by surprised but Georgie's personality kept things upbeat and I knew things were gonna turn out alright. So many good things outweighed alot of bad behavior in this novella that you can't help but have happy feelings once you get to those wonderful epilogues. I really enjoyed this and so glad I was given a chance to read. 5 STARS!!

This was a very quick read and I couldn’t put it down. This was a fun, fast paced, low angst, sweet GFY story with fake boyfriend elements that I always find fun. This is also a boss/employee workplace romance with some hurt/comfort elements which I also always love and it did not disappoint in any of those aspects.

I really enjoyed this story. Both of the MCs were loveable and made a cute couple. They had great chemistry. It didn’t come off as istalove. They both had to work for it but the story is short. If this had been a little bit longer with just a bit more development it would have been a 5 star read. Regardless it is still a really great read that I would definitely recommend.

Georgie was kicked out of his childhood home at 18 by his dad, for not getting a degree, and moves in with his aunt Pam. Pam trains him up quickly to take over her amazing job as a PA/ secretary to Lucas, a very succesful an wealthy young business man.
When on Georgie his first day, he and Lucas pose as fake boyfriends but they find real chemistry. Then Lucas has a problem because he does not date staf and he never was with a man before.
See how Lucas comes to terms with all that and how they find there hea with a wedding truely fitting them. This was a fun read I loved Georgie his enthousiasme and spirit.

When his assistant Pam has to leave his employ Lukas leaves it to her to hire her replacement. And he is good with that until he meets Georgie who was not quite what he was expecting. Georgie was certainly not Pam redux. He was more and Pam not only found Lukas someone to work with but someone to love. This was a delightful story, somewhat bumpy love story between two men who think they are coming together for one purpose and have to adjust to the deeper connection they develop with one another.

Sweet and fast moving love story with some racy scenes. The only thing that felt unanswered is why bring in people with no resolution. I did like the book but if could have been better.

A fairly common romance theme, boss + new assistant = romance. Still, a very sweetly told tale of love and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Low drama, low angst, and an HEA ending which will most certainly leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy. Avery Adams is a really good writer so this is a great read if you just want to sit back and chill and enjoy a good warm and fuzzy romance.

I was kind of disappointed but it’s not that bad.
I was expecting for Georgie to be more mature, respecting some boundaries and not being so straightforward with his boss. I was like “ what the hell dude? You don’t get to talk with your boss like that and certainly not about his dick and his big it is. And specially when you aunt who was your boss’s ex assistant is like a mother to him and practically raised him” 🤨😁

This was absolute perfection! I loved it!

I thought Lucas was young, only 28 yo but Georgie was even younger! He was only 18. Anyway, their story was superb and hilarious, so entertaining thanks to Georgie's sparkly personalities. Gorgie was so sassy and loud perfect match to Lucas

C'était cliché, peu réaliste et absolument ce qu'il me fallait en cette nuit blanche angoissante. Donc je mets 4 étoiles au lieu de trois pour le réconfort.
