It all started with a thief who became the witness to upcoming destruction of Indian economy.

A mastermind with the help of his pawns made a shrewd plan to make India and it’s economy suffer.
DSP Ranbir & Inspector Vikram went on the mission of uncovering the truth about the mastermind behind all the chaos in the country.

But while investigating, they came across people who were declared dead years ago. With confusing evidences they set on their journey of losing people and finding the mastermind.

Will they be able to succeed or is it the mastermind who wins?

Reading this book felt like a thriller movie. It was so engaging that I actually finished this book in 2 sittings.
The characters are well built and the author has explained everything in detail which is neither too dragged nor too short. The story is fast paced and definitely an amazing read.

Definitely recommended.

this book seldom felt like fiction, it almost felt like a series of action pictures passing in a swift motion, like you're present amidst the chaos and the mystery is unraveling before your own eyes and that credit goes to the mind-blowing plot. the intricacy of each plot yet how smoothly everything has been pulled off really grabs your attention. along with the plot the storytelling is amazing, revolving around realistic situations. though work of fiction this book gives you a chance to ponder upon the fact that how easy it is to throw off any country's peace in an instance with calculated steps. kudos to the author for really thinking out the plot and giving it definition by adding a spy vibe to it. although it does not have a major spy vibe to it, it definitely gives the chill.

the narration is good that provides knifepoint suspense. small chapters that doesn't bore you to death but the real masterstroke is the details of various agencies and their working, everything has been laid down neatly. definitely a page turner for me but at some point it felt a bit draggy. Recommended to all mystery thriller lovers.

A thief who is shot; two planes crashing in the air; a peace treaty turned into cranage; bomb blasts in Kashmir; these are just a few heart wrenching events of a series of a strategic and sinister plan against India's stability and security.

All pawns are moving according to the master's will and plan is being executed swiftly and perfectly. It is a race against time, will DSP Ranbir Roy of the Intelligence Bureau and Inspector Vikram Aditya Singh able to stop the impending doom? With nothing but constant dead ends in investigation, how will these officers save their beloved country from destruction?

Lynchpin is a great action thriller, packed with intense action and thrilling plot that is so fast paced and well thought and structured that you will have to pause to breathe. This book is one of those books, to which you get glued from the very first page and with every other page you turn, it becomes unputdownable.

A great story told with a perfect pace, thrilling elements spread out evenly and constantly throughout the plot makes this book a must read. You won't have a single dull moment while reading this book, it is thoroughly engaging and enjoyable.

Book: Lynchpin : Best laid Schemes of Mice and Men
Author: Siddharth Maheshwari
Genre: Thriller
Pages: 292

Synopsis:
A petty thief's murder and his ominous last words signal the start of a chain of calamities that start occurring at various places in India. DSP Ranbir Roy and Inspector Vikram Singh are in a race against time trying to make sense of what is happening and how to stop it. There's no one they can trust, there's a mole in their midst! Dead ends everywhere and (un)dead Indian Army personnel popping up out of nowhere. Someone is out to bring India to her knees, and is succeeding at it. Can they be stopped before they inflict further damage? Who stands to gain from this- A group of disgraced army officers, a couple of billionaires or an eccentric professor?

My views:
This was a pretty solid book! It's the sort that I could reread without getting bored. The plot is solid and the twists are perfect. I love the author's writing style, it keeps you hooked to every word! There wasn't much character development as such, but the fast pace of book makes it unnecessary anywho. What I absolutely loved about this story was that there was only one coincidence in the whole book, it gives a very realistic touch. The author penned a very accurate portrayal of how the various Government security agencies function - a specific team handling each task, not just one guy puttering away at his laptop.

My Ratings: 4/5. Worth every minute spent on it!

Lynchpin: The Best Laid Schemes of Mice and Men🌼

A sinister plan to control nation's soul. A genius mastermind who has set in motion an impending doom, pulling lynchpin across the country and controlling everything in the game. Inspector Vikram and DSP Ranbir embark on a mission to unearth the secrets and catch the conspirator behind the anarchy and save the country from the impending economical downfall.

Sidharth Maheshwari's nail-bitingly exciting thriller Lynchpin elicited the electric feeling of discovering a good psychological thriller from me.
The story is thrilling, dramatic and beautifully written, as we sort through utter chaos to get to the truth the disparate tension and build up is heart pounding.

An exceptional well written tale with striking, unforgettable characters and plot twists that keep you guessing till the end made it A smashing 4.5 Stars read for me.

The plot is in general very well executed and the scheming and ploys keep the intrigue ongoing. The writer’s writing style is simple, easy to understand, and very to the point. The book is more plot heavy and less character driven. So the main characters appear a little bland, and the excessive detailing of every location got boring at times, however overall this was a pretty satisfying and fast paced read. The book is short and the story is gripping, and for every thrill lover, it’s sure to be one hell of a ride.

For me, lynchpin is as right as rain. I was so curious to know about Vikram and Ranbir and their past experiences. I was just scrolling through the work of Sidharth Maheshwari and just saw this masterpiece...I just can't stop myself after reading the synopsis of the book. Somehow in my mind I knew it would give me the thrill that I got from "Veil of Shadows," and after reading the 1st chapter of the book, I was like, Sid sir, you are the best. What a damn start, man.

The entry of Vikram in the book somehow gave you a Bollywood-type of feeling where the main hero of the film enters when some of the thieves or criminals are freely running or escaping from their crime scene. And this is the thing that authors know really well: the audience and their taste. We all grew up watching the entry of heroes (protagonists) like this in movies and series. We all are Bollywood-grown-up genes, and if we get this from reading, we can easily relate to and dive into the story of the book from the 1st chapter itself.

Lynchpin gives you a wide knowledge of the investigation.
🎯How the top agencies in our country work and how they investigate. This will also give you a wide experience of how someone from a top agency became a turncoat and how the agency dealt with this situation and how the investigation took place.
🎯How the agency deals with the catastrophe around the country.
🎯This will also share with you a brief investigation of higher-level officers if he or she is found guilty or in a list of prime suspects.
🎯It will also tell you how the prime minister of the country connects with heads of agency and gives his opinion and orders. This surely needs a lot of research and hard work, and the author has done it really well and penned it in a beautiful way so that the audience will get a real-life experience.

As a beginner and fan of spy movies and series, this is a perfect book to start. Although I have firstly completed the "Veil of Shadows," which is a damn good book and also the sequel of Lynchpin. For me, both the books are close to my heart. After both these, I can say that I'm a fan of Sidharth Maheshwari. Just waiting for the next part of the series (1. Lynchpin 2. Veil of Shadows), I hope he'll not make us wait anymore.

P.S.: Craving to know more about Vikram and Ranbir. Also want some more action of Naina and the team-up of three.

I’ve read several reviews of this book, and now I truly understand why Lynchpin is praised as a fast-paced thriller. The story takes place in India and keeps the reader hooked and constantly guessing. The chapters are short and gripping, making you want to read “just one more” every time.

The book explores how terrorism works in general how innocent people are often brainwashed, while the real masterminds profit from chaos. It highlights the hunger for power and control, and shows how, in just 30 days, the peace of an entire nation can be disrupted.

Two police officers, DSP Ranbir and Inspector Vikram, take charge of stopping what is about to unfold. As the investigation progresses, they uncover shocking revelations and realize that there may be a mole within the system. The question remains: who is the mole? With the entire country at risk, will they be able to stop the plan in time and identify the culprit? As the story moves forward, we witness multiple terrorist acts across different states of India. Chaos is everywhere, yet the culprits remain invisible. It feels like a game of chess just when you think you are one step ahead, the opponent is already two moves ahead.

For a debut novel, this book is exceptionally well written and remains captivating till the very end. It offers deep insight into the psychological mindset of criminals how they are driven purely by self-interest, completely indifferent to innocent lives. They cling to their twisted assumptions and will go to any lengths to prove themselves right.

Lynchpin : The Best Laid Schemes of Mice and Men by Siddharth Maheshwari is a fictional psychological thriller. It was quite an engaging read and believe me when I say I was hooked! The cover is appealing and so is the content , You probably get the gist of the book by the title. The Storyline revolves around a thief who witnesses something which is going to affect the entire economy of India.
The county is in utter chaos , two officers , DSP Ranbir and Inspector Vikram are assigned the case to figure out what exactly is going on that’s disrupting the entire country.
The plot is exceptional , it is smoothly paced , layered nicely. In terms of length, it’s a short read , mostly because once you pick it up you wouldn’t be able to put it down without finishing , you’ll thoroughly enjoy it. I promise you’ll be kept engaged till the very last page. The author puts in a little of everything , suspense , thrill , anger , mystery etc. The author never fails to keep the readers thoroughly engaged and that’s the best part about it. Moving on to the language of the book , it is very easy to comprehend , the chapters are very clear and there’s never a dull moment and the detailing specially is very minutely and amazingly done . I loved the book and I’m looking forward to read more from the author. Good read. Highly recommended.

The book Lynchpin: The Best Laid Schemes of Mice and Men by Siddharth Maheshwari.
The story revolves around as when a thief who became the witness to upcoming destruction of Indian economy.
30 days is all you got & the fate of your country will be changed forever. That’s what a thief told inspector Vikram during his last moments. In minutes after his demise, Jaiprakash a pawn in this game of chess set things in motion with his sinister plan. All of a sudden everything changed. In a country of 1.4 billion people maintaining the socio-economic balance is a task in itself.
Lynchpin is a psychological thriller ,The story is structured like a chessboard where two masterminds are at constant fight and making their moves one after the other. It is used in an analogous manner but was not able to lose its momentum. And how smart were the chapter titles.
It was both intense & well structured. Facts & fiction very well collaborated together to form a complex web of parallel narratives.
It was fast & entertaining. The places, characters & events were well described very well.
Will they be able to succeed?
Or will the master mind wins?
Read it to know all these.
thank you

The book falls under the catagory of psychological thriller with back and forth story line. The story is about a thief who is a witness of falling of destruction of Indian economic system. He makes a master plan due to which everyone suffers great losses. The character buildup and hype around the antagonist is exceptional in this book.

DSP Ranbir and Inspector Vikram takes charge to solve this case. As the story progresses the gripping thrill can be filled throughout the read. The way each chapter ends in a cliff hanger makes this book irresistible and hard to keep down. 30 days is all you got to change the fate of the nation. There are other characters like Jaiprakash who is just a mere pawn in this big plan.

The story is well structured and brilliantly narrated by the author. Author made sure the suspense of the book remains till the end of it The story was fast paced, the places , characters seem real and engaging. The language of the book is simple yet gripping. The cover is also intriguing along with the suspenseful climax.

Engaging till the final Page...

It's playful first part might make you think you are stepping into some old story plot but abruptly the tone shifts to another track following up with more energy, investigations and interest . To begin with, the opening is from a thief running away with a purse from a high profile place. But he has an intention...
We also have inspector Vikram Aditya singh from worli police station in this track who has been given significant role to play. So the thief and the inspector encounter, and he shares something important with Vikram before last breath.

What was that?

And How does those words bring a hike in the track.
Moving forward there is a blast. And incidences of airspace collide, attacks roll on . Vikram Adiya singh has to join the dots and the clock is ticking.

An intriguing plot with terror, bombs attacks, the intelligence agencies army wrapped up with many characters make the novel a perfect page Turner. I would like to mention the title of the chapters that are amazing and evoke interest.

This one is the most confusing yet thrilling read I ever came across. Not only the cover is quite intense, but the storyline ahh.... Its even more complicated, even though the narration is smooth which makes it highly thrilling.

So this one falls into psychological genre, with the perfect blend of thrill, suspense and action in it.

The character development of nearly every vivid person in the story has been done beautifully. The narrative style is simple and picturesque.

The cover and the title actually says alot about the book, but for understanding the whole story like me,all you can do is keep guessing,or you can grab this one and fill yourself in a true roalercoaster ride of thrill and suspense.

Please pick your own copy and let me know how was your experience with all the guessing game.

I randomly came across this beautiful book while searching for a good novel to read and the curiosity to know what lies within the pages consumed me. The cover and the title grabbed my attention and I couldn't resist reading it, hoping for it to be an interesting read and I'm glad to say that it lived up beyond my expectations.
I was hooked from the very first page and it was both intense and well structured. The book is fast paced and racy. one of the best thing about the book is that it isn't much chatty and all. It captures the thrill of a conspiracy at the same engaging with a brilliant chess based analogy which makes the readers think. The story is structured like a chessboard where two masterminds fight and make their moves one after the other. I really liked this idea of author to be honest.
The language used is lucid so that the readers can understand and interpret the stories in the book in an easier way also this connects the readers to the book. So, overall it's an amazing book!

I like things which keeps one's focus pulled completely. One must know what to invest in, before proceeding towards the research stage or the decision level. The book will take one in depths of secrets and mysteries right from the moment all of the important characters and their portrayal, is executed in a manner quite grasping for the reader. The book will easily offer one, way to read and also experience a race against time while the pace is cleverly balanced throughout the read. Unlike a game of chess, what if I say it out that the game is not finished even when the pawn gets to reach the final borderline of opposition as there's more to all of it. Author has showcased a talent appealing in terms of simplified form of narration with characterization well set for the reader to relate with. In my view, it's a read much worth the time spent in reading as the length is again, within the acceptable limits.

A Lazy thriller.

The Main problem with this is whole story is Third-Person Narration. It would be really engaging if it had written from "Vikram's POV", Ranbir's POV, Professor's POV and Vinod's POV. This third person narration diluted the Assasin's POV

Arvind Ghosh was considered as a preparator in the beginning but he was cleared within a couple of days and joined back on duty without any further investigation on his involvement or suspension. That too he does additional work of spying Pakistan.

Every time they say it was difficult to crack Arvind Ghosh to make him tell who is behind this. But in reality he is innocent and throughout he is following his senior Jagmohan Reddy's order. If he would have said satellite was navigated to different location as per Reddy's instruction its over then and there and why didn't he revealed until another 50 Pages of book when even he is accused as "Rogue Agent" ?

The Assassins have got many chances to kill Vikram and Ranbir but didn't do so.

Deporting the culprits within hours from Montenegro and recorded voice as proof are all joke.

Professor makes mockery of IB, State Police and R&W. He gets caught then he escapes then again gets caught then escapes. This Vikram being an IB guy buys all the idiotic things he says throughout.

After Sahil Manocha's death Ranbir immediately called the Ministry of Home affairs and took command of the IB. Eh what??? Even college election has a better selection process.

Signing an agreement with China's Dictator near Kargil, seriously?

Assasins escape routes and motive behind destabilizing the country are only interesting plot.

Book: Lynchpin: The Best Laid Schemes of Mice & Men
Author: Siddharth Maheshwari
Format: Kindle
Rating: 5/5

The book has a total of Sixty-Five chapters. The story begins with a thief, who becomes a witness to the upcoming destruction of the Indian economy. But unfortunately, the thief dies, and before dying, he forwards a message to inspector Vikram saying that the Indian economy will face grave danger in about 30days. DSP Ranbir and Inspector Vikram, both try to solve the mystery, and in that process, they come across some twisted truths. Will they be able to solve the mystery?

The book is a psychological thriller. The best part is that the story isn't too chatty. I was hooked to the book until the very end and completed it in one go. The story is intense, and the characters are well developed. It has the potential to be made into a film, and I'm looking forward to it. The story is fast-paced.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Well, a game of chess is what the cover page showcases but this one's not a random read based on some game of chess and instead, it's a book designed to deliver a level of thrill captivating to the eyes of the reader with narration intriguing enough. The officer now, has to fight the mysteries through the tunnel of secrets but what lies as a secret, requires way more than just efforts to be unveiled. I liked the differently described concept on which the book is based and the manner in which author has lined up a series of experience for the reader to grab. There's quite a competition in genres under which the book's based on, and it calls for uniqueness for the book to stand different and I feel this one's got its own set of elements for the book to be noticed easily. A worth the time read in my view with its agenda and words in favour of nation, beautiful indeed.

•She sacrificed her queen, but she won the game.•

I never make story maps for books but but this book made me do it, list down, scribble and make a map, such is the power of the story that I couldn't stop midway and finished it in one sitting. It took me 5 hours to finish this read, but trust me it's like a Bollywood Movie.

The story is as quirky as the name is. Lynchpin by @storyarkbysiddharth Siddharth Maheshwari is a thrilling journey, where DSP Ranbir Roy of the intelligence Bureau and Inspector Vikram Aditya Singh are geared up to stop a sinister plan of a mastermind that called for a national emergency.

Vikram was about to reach home where he saw a thief running, and ran behind him. Theif's last words gave Vikram a clue that helped him solve the most important case.

Amongst Fights, clues, chaos and inquiries, it's a roller-coaster ride full of mystery and murders. An intriguing storyline with a fantastic plot.

I loved how Vikram was taking clues, solving the case. Crisply narrated with a gripping and enthralling writing style, the author keeps the reader curious and hooked throughout.

It's a fast-paced read with a smooth flow of words. At times, the unnecessary description of Vikram's parents, the chess game made it a bit tedious as it was taking focus away from the story but it's a good read.

With each chapter, the puzzle gets solved, making it more exciting for the readers. The maps added by the author were really helpful.

It's a perfect blend of mystery, thriller and love for the nation. I loved Vikram's and Ranbir's bond. The way they handled the situation was great to read.

I loved how events were taking place, making it an exciting read. Overall, it's an amazing read that you will enjoy if you love reading thrillers.

I felt the story of the book is quite moviesque.
A psycho thriller.
A mastermind thief witnesses the upcoming destruction of the indian economy. A well laid plan to hurt the finances of the country through this pawns. DSP Ranbir and inspector Vikram are on the other side of game, where they have to stop the destruction and catch the masterplanner. They've got just 30 days.
The writing style of the author is simple and lucid. I do like the title and the cover since the whole story seemed to be a chess game, where one tries to beat the other. However i felt the story lacked originality and freshness. Could have been better plot wise.
Overall a good one time read.

A fast paced read indeed. All national security and intelligence agencies have come together to address the violence and unrest being inflicted throughout the country. Conflicting patriotic ideologies and greed for money has turned many government officials into moles, but who are they?
A charismatic and brilliant duo of two officers take it upon themselves to cut through red tape and prevent the catastrophe planned by the perpetrators to avoid another war. They don't know who they can trust, so they need their back channels to conduct a discrete investigation to smoke out the traitors. Would they be able to avert the looming crisis? Read Lynchpin to find out!
I recommend!
