Harlow Amarantine is my home, the beautiful realm where all with Fae blood are free to live together in harmony. I love the feel of the magic flowing around me, and the comforting diversity of my people. But it’s my duty just as my siblings did before me to live a year across the veil. A year on earth among the humans and Fae-blooded that have been raised here. But how can I return to the home I love when my heart is with him? Thane The Key has been a Fae sanctuary on Earth since the veil to Amarantine was created. But it’s been my personal haven as long as I can remember. Raised here with others who care for and accept me has always been a blessing, but somehow, even on the Island for outcasts I’m still the odd one out. With Fae blood but no magic, how could I ever be worthy of the Fae Princess from across the veil?
I read this book earlier this year. There were some really solid scenes within this book. The spicy scenes were well done but I just wish the characters had been fleshed out more. Also the main conflict seemed to resolve at the 3/4 mark making it challenging to get through the last 1/4 of the book. Overall I think the story had a lot of promise, some solid scenes, I just needed more.
