Kyle Rivera's life was a never-ending party until his sister's breast cancer diagnosis rocked his world and changed everything. He's given up his island paradise lifestyle to help care for her and her kids. Watching her suffer is one of the hardest things he's ever faced. She's dying and there's nothing he can do to stop it.
When Tiffany Morgan enters his life he's immediately drawn to the pretty nurse. She's kind, smart and sexy, and best of all, she's looking for some casual fun. Kyle never thought he could care about anyone again, but this amazing girl is making him reconsider his position.
Tiffany is trying to rebuild her world after suffering a life-changing event that has left her with scars, both physical and emotional. She may have lost her fiancé, her confidence, and a few years of her life, but Kyle could be just the fun distraction she needs to remember what it feels like to be young and happy.
They've both suffered hardships that have left them destroyed. Neither of them wants to fall in love, but some things are just meant to be...
**Warning...this story contains sexually explicit scenes between consenting adults. It is intended only for readers 18+ who enjoy sexy, no-rules love stories. It is the sixth book in the Wrecked Hearts series, but can be read as a standalone. The series order is: LIT, BURNED, CONSUMED, SHATTERED, CRUSHED, DESTROYED.
Gabrielle Gibson spends most of her free time writing sexy love stories about difficult relationships and the redemption of damaged and dark hearts. She is committed to leading the broken characters that live in her head out of the darkness and into the light. She’s a self-described entertainment junkie with an affinity for 80s music, especially hair metal. She lives in southern Maryland with her sexy rocker husband, lover and best friend, Bob. He continually inspires her obsession with the alpha male.
Another winner! I love how the author develops the characters that were introduced in previous books and interweaves their stories over time. So much fun getting to know them again... Oh, how I'd missed them!
A pretty standard story, but after a while I hated how EVERYTHING about Tiffany was described as 'little'. Every time I read about her 'hot LITTLE body', 'tight LITTLE pu**y', or 'sexy LITTLE a**' my eyes rolled so hard I think they scratched my brain! A big positive was that the story took its time to develop. The characters' relationship didn't go from 'Hello' to 'I love you' to 'I do' in a week. Kyle was OK for the most part, but there were times when his macho men-don't-do-feelings, crying-is-for-pussies, etc. attitude really got on my nerves. On the other hand, Tiffany is mostly why this book got a 4th star. She has self-image issues but gets over them eventually. She agrees to a no-strings-attached scenario, but when she sees she's not capable of sticking to it she doesn't hold it against Kyle for not wanting more. At the same time, she knows what she does and doesn't want, and doesn't start torturing herself (and the reader) by expecting Kyle to change his tune (even if he does in the end) and end things (even if for the sake of HEA they eventually make up).
Tiffany hard gone through the fires of hell, came out the other side just to be sucker punched by her fiancé. She lost so much time due to her recovery and healing but she decided she wanted to finish her schooling, find her perfect job and hold regrets. Maybe someday she would find love again but not right now.
Kyle was all about drinking, partying and women. He didn’t have the time or patience for a relationship. He had that once and knew how it made men soft and killed your soul when it was gone. Never again, never again.
Destroyed is book six of the Wrecked Hearts series and absolutely worth every minute.
This is the sixth book in this series, and this is Kyle and Tiffany's story. This is a well written story which is easy to read, with family, friendships, emotions, loss, grief, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, healing, and love which all leads to an , page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Kyle won’t let himself get close to anyone again. Haven’t been hurt in one of the worst ways possible, he won’t allow himself to trust anyone. He has enough going on with his sister fighting a losing battle with cancer, his niece and nephew, friends and parents. But then Tiffany comes along, having been through trauma herself, she shows him that it’s ok to trust.
Enjoyable work. The characters were week developed as well as the numerous challenges each person, and couple, faced. There chapter involving and extended illness and it's finality was well done and stirred emotions.
So well written and a great story. Characters from the previous books interwoven in the story line was just great. Can’t wait to read more from this author.
