About the author

My name is Kaydee Robins. Reading has always been a passion of mine. In middle and high school, I would participate in the summer reading programs at the local library, often winning many prizes. My mom called me a hermit because I’d rather be in my room reading a book than outside or with my friends. In high school, I discovered my love for books also extended to plays; thus, my passion for theatre was born. My favorite was working behind the scenes, creating colorful lighting effects.

I followed my passion in college and obtained an associate’s in theatre arts. I also wrote short stories and fan fiction (don’t judge). While I loved the theatre, I quickly learned that it wasn’t practical to do for a living unless I got a break. So I started studying web and graphic design and did theatre as a hobby. Four years later, I had a bachelor’s in information technology, followed by a master’s a couple of years later.

Today, I work as a system administrator in a NOC (network operations center), where I monitor my companies network for server issues. Since a NOC is 24×7, I work in 12-hour shifts giving me literally half the month off to work on my hobbies.

In 2019, I decided that I was going to start writing again. My kids were finally old enough that I could concentrate more on my hobbies than theirs. I published my first book, A Spy and his SEAL, at the end of August. In addition, I design all the covers for my books,

I learned long ago. I like reading all kinds of romances, straight, gay, bisexual; it doesn’t matter. My favorite being gay paranormal. Nothing beats a good book about fated mates, shifters, and male pregnancy. Another top pick is action/suspense romance. What’s better than falling in love while dodging bullets and saving lives?

As for my personal life, I am a cisgender straight woman. I am married to a wonderful man who supports me for my weird habits and interests. He is a stay at home dad taking care of our daughter and two sons. When I’m not working, I’m reading, writing, playing video games, or watching my favorite dramas. I also bake bread, mainly sourdough, and have started using my starter in just about any baked products.

The Wayward Warriors series is a spinoff of the Legends of the Packs series. The books in this series are solo reads but do feature characters and cross timelines with Legends of the Packs. For maximum enjoyment, it is recommended to start with the first Legends of the Packs book,. Ginger Fella.
This novel is absolutely captivating. I fell in love with the cover and the novel was just as pure. As you read it will be up to you to put the pieces together! This is a brilliant read! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. The world building is detailed and imaginative. This novel has strong, well developed characters and an interesting story line that keeps you turning the pages. I recommend this novel and would read more novels by this author. I gave this honest, voluntary review after being given a free copy of the novel

Good start for a new series. The main characters are interesting and keep the reader focused on the story. Unfortunately the book was too short I was left wanting more.

Pyro by author Kaydee Robins is the first book in the Wayward Warriors series. This is the first time I have read Ms. Robins I really enjoyed this story. I did think there were one too many ideas and had they been streamlined I would have loved this story more. But as it stands it is a good story and I would love to know more about the bikers and the world they live in.

Jayden: panther shifter. He is a hustler when we meet him, Zen is the first to rescue him. But Jayden has a lot of layers, and issues, not all of them are addressed as well as I would like but I loved him as a character so there is that.

Zen: He is a wolf shifter, a biker, and most importantly an Alpha. Where Jayden is an Omega, they have an instant attraction. I truly loved Zen. He has a heart and soul that comes through the pages. He is a great Alpha and more importantly friend to have.

Teddy: we do not meet him till later on. He is human but more than just your average ordinary kind. I liked getting to know him. He is the heart that glues everyone together.

Overall, this is a great story, and I really cannot wait for the next book in the series. I will say towards the end of this story there are some things addressed that I hope are resolved in book two. I felt they were more important and should not be glossed over. I think though for a first book this one is great.



Five Shooting Stars

The story introduced Jayden, an omega who hustled people at billiards for money, and Zen, the alpha who offered his biker club's protection and help to Jayden. The connection between the two and their attraction was off the charts, but Jayden has chosen to deny it. Fast forward more than forty years and Jayden was a patched member of the club, with the chosen street name of Pyro. At that point, Pyro still denied his bond with Zen because he had secrets, although he couldn't resist his alpha during his heats. So, for over four decades, Pyro and Zen had had a friends with benefits relationship, until they met Teddy and their bond couldn't be faught anymore. They had found their missing piece, the one who perfectly glued them together. It seemed like everything clicked into place in their lives, if only Pyro's past hadn't came back to endanger his present.

A lot was packed into this book's rather short page count. Maybe because of that, most felt rushed and unaccomplished. Told rather than showed, especially the emotional connection, both between Zen and Pyro, and between them and Teddy as a threesome. That being said, the story has been an interesting rush to the an happy ending and I had fun reading it.

Pyro is a hustler. Going into a bar to make a few bucks he pretends to not know what he's doing but plays his hand and is found out. As he tries to escape, his car dies and a gorgeous alpha comes to his rescue. Zen offers to have the vehicle looked at in his club's garage but it's soon evident its not worth fixing.. Pyro decides to stay and help at the garage. Time passes and he and Zen grow close but Pyro doesn't do relationships. Why? He was in an abusive relationship he fled from and has no desire to do that ever again.
Zen is a patient man and knows Pyro is his mate. He just bides his time hoping Pyro comes around. Out one night they meet Teddy and realize he could be their third. Trouble ensues and Pyro's past comes back to haunt him. Can the alpha, omega, and gypsy find happiness?
This book kept me riveted from the first page. I loved the characters and loved how the author brought us along for the ride to their happy ending.

This was a really sweet, fast paced story and I love triads so I really enjoyed it. There were a few places in the story that I wish were given more time to because it felt like it skipped a bit but overall, everything came together to make a really good story. I’ve never read a shifter story where they lived to be 149 like Zen was so that was interesting. I loved how sweet Teddy was and I like how all 3 fit together so well. I did get upset with how Pyro just left his kids for practically 50 years to be raised by his evil ex. I can’t really understand that as a parent myself but I was glad to see at least Cooper turned out okay and was able to be reunited with his dad. Also, how Pyro was able to not tell his new found family about his past for so long…what a massive burden to carry. The ending was really sweet and I’m glad for the overall HEA.

I’ve been waiting for this book! After meeting Pyro and Zen in Beau and the Bear, I was excited to see more about Both characters. Pyro is such an enigma, an omega with beta tendencies, sweet and prickly, with a mysterious past. And Zen is probably the sweetest, most patient Alpha I’ve ever read.

But what makes the story even better is when they meet Teddy. Teddy is such an interesting addition. He brings a unique twist that really works for this book. I love how the relationship between all three of these men works.

As usual for Robins’ books, by the time I reached the end, all I wanted was more. I never seem able to get enough of these characters. Can’t wait for the next book in the Wayward Warriors series!

This was a great start to the series.
The characters were exciting and it had great action and heat.
The three main characters are all different, which is a nice change.
I also love books about mc's, and there aren't many that are mpreg.

I've given it three stars because while the story line seems great, there was alot of errors/inconsistencies throughout the story. It would benefit to have some beta readers to go through the story and point them out.

Update*** I've changed the rating to 4 stars. There was further fixes after my arc read which greatly helped the story! I do wish to revisit this world and see what comes next

This story kept me enthralled and found it very hard to put down. It’s midnight and I just finished the book. It rocked! I was quickly drawn into Pyro and Zen’s life, and I was rooting for them to find love and happiness but that’s impossible until they meet Teddy. This book has it all, shifters, gangs, magic, and a intriguing story that captures your imagination and makes you root for a HEA. I don’t want to spoil it for you so the only thing I can do it recommend you read it and be drawn in as I was to their love story and the long journey it took but so satisfying in the end. Loved it and I know you will too!

I enjoyed Pyro, by Kaydee Robins. It's a shifter, omega, m-preg, M/M/M. Too often these categories use fated mates with a heavy hand. Instant love at first sight, but then the conflict in the book can only come from outside. In Pyro, your fated mate is someone you have to recognize over time, and this allows for real character development. The only down side for me was that there was the potential to explore the hurt/comfort trope more. I felt like the solution came a little quickly. But it was a fun read.

Jayden (Pyro) is a panther shifter on the run from his abusive mate. Rory (Zen) is a wolf shifter and sort of rescues Pyro after an altercation at a bar. Teddy is a human with gypsy roots. Zen knows Pyro is his mate since the first meeting but Pyro is very secretive about his past. Pyro also knows Zen is his mate but his past prevents him from committing. Teddy loves them both. This story has drama, conflict, danger and love. A fantastic read.

This is a spinoff. It can be read separate but I wish I started with the other set but felt I did not miss out. Drama, conflict, male escaping abusive FEMALE, omegas, alphas, MMM. Just to give a taste of what you get. This is a tirade so be sure you know its all male action =) 'Zen' and Pyro sort of beat around the bush a bit cat-and-mouse type to me lol. But when 'Bear' shows, things get good. I look forward to reading other books by this author.

This was a nice story. Zen and Pyro have been dancing around their feelings for a long time but Teddy coming into their lives makes it completely impossible to ignore even when Pyro's past comes after him. I loved that they were able to move past what happened and build a life together and a family.

This was an interesting fast paced story of finding your soul mate. Zen and Pyro are both shifters and Teddy is human. They are three different characters who are perfect matches for each other. I don't usually enjoy shifter books, but the story did hold my interest and was more character driven than about shifters.

I've read other books by Kaydee Robins before and really enjoyed them, but I just could not get into this book, sadly. I was excited to read Pyro but the pacing felt off to me. I thought the idea was there, but the story just felt a bit flat to me.
