Sometimes all it takes is a spark to ignite an inferno…

When Ember arrives from the Reno chapter of the Desert Sinners MC, she rekindles a fire deep inside of me.

My attraction to her hasn’t dissipated after all these years, but despite our history, what she’s currently doing brings out a rage that trumps anything else.

I have enough trouble with women without her coming back into my life with secrets and hidden agendas.

But an attack on one of my brothers brings the truth to the surface.

She isn’t the enemy, but we have plenty of those breathing down our necks from all directions.

No one can be trusted.

And losing myself in Ember again means risking not only my heart but the safety of the entire club.

When threats converge and everything is on the line, will love be enough to keep the flame alive?

I’m torn on my rating because I enjoyed this author’s writing style. Am I going to read the next in the series when it’s released - absolutely. However, I had some issues with the story.

I needed to know more about why and with what Torch was blackmailing the h with.

I think it would have helped to have a flashback scene showing us the initial hookup of Colt and Ember and the chemistry they felt then. We just get told and not shown and it was hard to feel any type of chemistry between the two in the present.

The h willingly and knowingly started a relationship with a married man. I don’t care what story he spun it was hard for me to empathize with her because of it.

I felt the pacing was off. Not too much happened up to about 80% in - no action and the H/h relationship hadn’t really progressed past a quick emotionless fuck and tolerating each other because they had to. I felt nothing when they truly came together in a real way because of it.

I gotta say though, after all of the above, I’m still looking forward to Wolf’s story.

My first impression of this book was that the premise was ridiculously set up. The situation between Torch and Ember with her brother, The Pres, Ice's approval ruined how I saw Ember and Ice. I didn't understand motivation for too many of the characters and Colt didn't endear me to him either. Their sexual exploits seemed to lack intimacy and I didn't feel like there was much romance in how they came together or decided to actually be together. Additional plot devices further alienated me - spoiler: .

All in all, by the time we get the flimsy story from Ember, I was kinda over it and then as we get to the last 15% as Colt suddenly pulls his head out, it's way too late for me to really be rooting for them. I actually just didn't really care about them.

I'm on the fence about Wolf.

The second book in this series will have you engrossed and allured into the world of the Desert Sinners. A second chance romance between Colt and Ember will have the sparks flying as chemistry, blackmail and misunderstandings create drama and chaos. As you are drawn into the mayhem that surrounds these two and the MC you will be kept on the edge of your seat. A steamy read filled with passion, heart and revelations.

Wow! This is the second book in the Desert Sinners MC series and although it begins with the introduction of new characters from Reno, familiar faces are soon in the clubhouse. This story focuses on Ember who is the daughter of the late president of the Reno arm and the sister of Ice the current president. Originally from Las Vegas before sent to set up in Reno, Ember is childhood friends with a lot of the life time members, very close to Viking and his family, and she has a history with Colt from seven years before. Currently being blackmailed by Torch, the abusive VC from Reno, into being his woman, despite him having a married old lady at home, Ember’s life is a mess. She has no one to turn to, but when events cause her to have to temporarily relocate to Las Vegas, she eventually confides in one of her friends from childhood. Colt wanted to reconnect with Ember as soon as he saw the stunning young woman again. But when he sees that she’s arm candy for Torch, who he knows is married, he does a 360 on his feelings and attitude towards her. Colt cannot stand betrayal after being on the receiving end of it twice in his lifetime. His obvious contempt for her upsets Ember as she is still attracted to Colt, but it’s clear that he’s not her number one fan and she doesn’t know why. Reading the second book was even easier than the first. The characters are so well written that they feel like familiar friends and you get to find out more about different members in each book. The story is really interesting with so much going on. This book should have come with a ‘You will need tissues’ warning at the beginning of it though :-( Superb!

I am a girl who enjoys her MC romances. I have my favorite authors and tend to stick to them so when I was offered the chance to read Colt, I decided to try Rachel Lyn Adam’s writing out. Best decision ever!!

Adams kept me swerving! Changing lanes without any blinkers! I have to admit normally I can guess where a plot is taking me but this girl changed lanes up on me so fast and flawlessly. I was patched in to Desert Sinners before I even knew it.

Her characters, lead and side, kept me enthralled with their actions and personalities. Seriously, Adams had me grasping my kindle trying to steer from certain disaster and watching the impact of tragedy strike to see if major road rash would occur.

This is a story that rides out nice and smooth even with the unexpected twists and turns.  The hot and steamy as desert sin scenes will leave you panting for more. So hold on to the hotness in front of you and don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Colt and Ember will rev your engine up and leave you craving for more.

Ember is loyal to a fault. She is so loyal that she has put herself in harm’s way to protect her little sister and older brother. Her bad choices have put her in a bad spot and in danger. The only problem is that she doesn’t know how much danger yet. When she returns to Las Vegas with her brother, Ice, the president of the Dessert Sinners MC Reno section, and she sees the only man she has ever had a crush on, she is devastated when he comments on her new relationship.

When Colt sees Ember again, the old flame that he had seven years ago start to burn again. He wants to get to know her again, but after he sees Torch kiss her and stake his claim on her, he decides it’s not worth it. He turns his back on Ember until truths begin to come to light, then he finds that he can’t turn his back on her. He realizes that she needs help and that she is stronger and more loyal than he first thought.

I loved this story. The men of the Dessert Sinners MC are tough, mean, and loyal brothers to the MC. This is a story of family, love, second chances and betrayal. The Las Vegas Dessert Sinners MC have to deal with a rival MC that wants to take over their area and bring in illegal business that the Dessert Sinners do not deal in. I give this story a 5-star review and recommend this book and series to readers who like MC, second chances, or stories of men who will go to any lengths to keep the woman they love safe and protected.

ONE THRILLING BLOCK BUSTER!!!
Smackdown! Rachel rocks this baby from the start, spinning this refreshing storyline and gripping plot, blasting this little fella into a tizzy with stunning results. A chaotic ride with a bevy of shocking events and surprising incidents that propel your emotions into play front and center. One non-stop, action packed, hard hitting, nerve racking, nail-biting, block buster, melding this bad boy together piece by jagged piece seamlessly. Toss in turmoil, betrayal, secrets and startling situations along with a boatload of danger, you have the recipe for one heart pounding, adrenaline pumping, mind-blowing experience. Bumbling through witnessing the trials and tribulations, a slew of astounding twists and sharp turns, tempting our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. The chemistry sizzles from the pages and suck you in so deeply until you feel the heat and electricity thrumming through your veins. The characters personalities are relatable and realistic with depth and qualities that feels as though you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are graphically detailed and descriptive making it easy to picture each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. Fantastic job Rachel, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

Rachel Lyn Adams is a new to me author, and I'm straight up here for it from this point on! Colt was an amazing story that drew all of my extreme emotions out of me, which makes for the perfect read. See, Colt is a member of the Desert Sinners MC, and at first, he was a complete douche, so my rage was big, and it took me a cool minute to even attempt to understand him. However, there's more to the story than meets the eye since he has a past with Ember which was cut short, so yeah, stay tuned. Ember is our amazing heroine, who was a force, and yet, so loyal to those she loved, as she was raised in the MC world herself which is big on said loyalty. She's back after 7 years, and while the chemistry is next level potent, there's obviously going to be some issues that these two stubborn folks will have to address no matter how much they fight it, since that chemistry won't be denied for too long & Colt isn't exactly up for listening to crap from her. This story has all kinds of f-bomb worthy twists, so drop them I did, but again, I'm not saying a word as to what any of them are. If you want to know, (and trust me you do), and even want to know how this story pans out, then you'll have to hit your one click button to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Rachel Lyn Adams was a new to me with Mac and now Colt and wow has she made a fan out of me now, I writing and characters in her books are perfect and they keep you engaged and wanting more the whole time.
Colt is a member of the Desert Sinners Mc and kinda a prick at first but as the book goes on you soon find out why... Ember is a force she is loyal till the end to those she loves and she was also raised in the Mc as well, Colt and Ember have a bit of a past but was cut short and they didn't see each other for years after she moved.
Jump 7 years later and Ember is put back in Colts life for reasons unknown at first but wow are these two fighting what we all know needs to happen. This book has some crazy twists you wont see coming even if you try and i absolutely loved it. She will make you cry happy and sad tears all while yelling out loud for what you want to happen only to see thats not whats going on at all lol.
I give this book 5 stars but it really deserves 100+ because wow it's amazing.

Ember isn't the woman he knew years ago. She was back at their chapter of the MC and Colt didn't want to feel anything for her.

He was a man she couldn't forget. Now he treated her worse than any of the girls in the club. She couldn't tell him why she made the decisions that put her in this situation. When danger to her chapter had her president sending her to Colt's chapter for protection she didn't know if she should be grateful or fight it. When Colt was assigned to her protection team it made things worse. Only the death of a brother changes things and minds.

I did like the story. However, Colt's unwavering attitude made it hard to like his character. The author did give motivation but not enough to change my feelings for him. That is just me. I am sure fans of the MC and this author (and I am a fan) will enjoy the book and the same for me will look forward for more stories in the series.

When Ice and Torch along with Ember who Torch was controlling with threats no one knew about went to visit The Dessert Dinners Vegas chapter she, knew she had to put up a big front even her brother didnt know what, was going on in her life. She got to see Viking an Meredith and Fitz an most of all Colt. But when Colt saw Torch kissing her an when she went outside he called her a homewrecking whore. That hurt more than anything because deep down she still loved Colt he was her first at everything including love. There are so many twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page and leave you begging for more.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and makes you feel their emotions and their pain.I can hardly wait to see whats next by this multi talented author.

I have been waiting for Colt's story since I read Mac's. And I will say it was worth the wait. This story was equal parts action/heartbreaking/steamy. Ember was not a girl that I saw coming. You kind of get an idea in the beginning of what kind of person she is, but sometimes first impressions can be deceiving. And as this story progresses my heart started to bleed for Ember.

Colt was a complete asshole. But, he was a lovable asshole. There was moments that you saw through his hard exterior and saw the man that he hid from everyone.

The returning characters were just as enjoyable as they were the first time that you were introduced to them. And then there was some new characters that were introduced that I had plotted how to dispose of their bodies. Torch being the main one, that man was one that I just knew from the start that I wanted to see him 6 feet under. The continued threat from the first book was present, and I was invested in seeing if and how things were going to unfold.

The moment that I got the the end I was saying to myself, "Ok let me have the next one." And boy am I excited that Wolf is up next. Way to go Rachel Lyn Adams on another great read that kept my attention and has me wanting more.

Ember and Colt have a history. Ember is in a messy situation and it's only going to get worse.

These two may not like each other now but they need each other after things come to light about threats and intimidations and with Ember and her family being caught in the middle, Colt will not sit idly by.

Now Colt is no saint and in the 7 years between them, he's got an ex and his own private story to share. Being thrown into a "fake" relationship with Ember is about to turn these two in to something neither expected except everyone around them.

This one is a high octane thrill ride with lots of sharp turns and enough action going on to keep you on the edge. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

The chemistry between Colt and Ember is undeniable. Colt is hardened by his past and he misinterprets Ember from the start. With the dual point of views in alternating chapters it really sucks you in and has you rooting for them. At certain times I was frustrated with the information not coming out fast enough but the slow burn kept me engaged. If I had it my way I would have devoured this book in one sitting but life didn’t allow it. I was worried towards the end how everything would be wrapped up but Rachel pulled it off perfectly. My only complaint is I want more Colt and Ember!! I love them.

This is the first time in reading this author with me being so glad I caught this one. I adore going into a good MC especially when they become hot in more ways than one. Colt and Ember take us into their world with the drama that is going down. Things go down that are similar like those sayings do not judge a book by its cover. This is a second chance that is a delight bonus. Even though this is the second one I still plan on catching up thanks to this one. This can be explosive if they do not watch it but not going to let on what is what. The thing I do know is the heat that goes through them and the club is worth every bit.

Embry returns to The Desert Sinners MC parent chapter when her brother is incarcerated for 6 months for safety. The club thought it was for her safety but in actuality she does it to keep her sister and brother safe from the evils of his VP for the Reno chapter of The Desert Sinners. This is a fantastic book. Full of mystery, intrigue, lots of love, second chance romances, friendship, revenge, strength, and determination and a HEA. Great characters and the true meaning of family. The characters are great, well worth your time. Can not wait for the next book.

Slowest burn book I’ve ever read

I loved the first book in this series, this one not nearly as much. (This review will contain SPOILERS).....Colt treats Ember HORRIBLY for almost 80% of the book. My heart really kind of broke for her. They have sex a couple times (and he still hurts her), but they don’t even become a couple until the very end. I don’t even understand how she could have fallen in love with him when he was so awful to her and never apologized for it. (It was all misplaced anger towards his conniving ex wife). There’s also a heartbreaking death in this book mid way through. They get their HEA, but I never felt like he even deserved her.

So many things don't make sense.

What I really liked is that things weren't drawn out. I hate when the main character has something important to tell but keeps it secret for some weak excuse and drags it out for chapters. Some things I didn't understand. Fitzs' sister was her best friend for years but there's no interaction between them. That's weird. Also, what brother would think it's ok for his little sister to hook up with a married man, even laugh about it? Then he's supposed to be worried about her. Idk, the whole reason she doesn't tell her brother when Torch begins threatening her and her sister just doesn't make sense.

Rachel had us waiting for this book for what seemed like forever but she 100% did not disappoint! It was completely worth the wait! Colt started off as a little bit of a prick but when you find out why he’s that way you can understand where he’s coming from. He’s just a good guy who’s been hurt one too many times but deserves someone to care for his heart the way it should be. Ember is sweet and feisty and loyal to her core. She puts everyone she loves before her and it’s hard not to fall in love with her from the start. What she has gone through is unfair and all you want to do is help her find the reciprocated love she deserves. Together Colt and Ember burn hotter than sin but are both afraid of falling in love. Both have been hurt too many times and are afraid to let the other in, neither wanting the chance for another broken heart. Especially poor Colt who has more than his own heart to keep safe. Once they let the flood gates open though it was undeniable that they were always meant to be.

I loved this book hard and am already starting a reread. Rachel definitely created another masterpiece in the Dessert Sinners series. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with for Wolfs book!

This is the second book in the series and while it can easily be read on its own if you get a chance to read the first book Mac give it a read I really enjoyed it and after finishing it I could not wait to give this book a read. I love a good MC romance and this series seriously has me hooked. I really disliked Colt at the start of the book and really wanted to beat on him but the more I read the more I liked him. Ember I liked right from the start. This book had lots going on and I did not want to put it down.

This author was new to me so when I dove into Mac and I couldn’t put it down I knew then and there Colt was right up my alley! She has will developed characters and intriguing and suspenseful storylines. Colt and Ember had a past that was cut too short. Fast forward 7 years and they are reunited but the secrets and lies are suffocating them. Ember gets her self in a messy situation and there is no light at the end of the tunnel and Colt is a complete a$$hat but a lovable one. They are thrust together and sparks fly. There are so many twists and turns within the story you didn’t know what was coming. I can’t wait for the next installment of this high octane series!!

This is the 2nd book in this awesome series and is Colt and Embers’ story. These two have a history but have not seen each other for 7 years, and now she is sent to the Sinners for protection, which does not go down very well with Colt. This is a fascinating story which is filled with action, heartbreak, twists, undeniable chemistry and is a steamy read which had me captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I highly recommend for all MC lovers, and I look forward to reading more in this awesome series.

After reading this book I had to take a little time to compose myself and get my thoughts clear in my head before I put them in a review.
Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.

MC and second chance romance all rolled into one book. I really wanted to dislike Colt but in the end he was too much of a family man to hate. Good plot, lots of action and plenty of steam. This is a new author to me and I will go back and read the first in the series for sure. Although it’s a second in series there is no need to read the first and no cliffhangers. There was a missed opportunity for drama with Colts ex but otherwise a solid book.

“Colt” is an action-packed exciting Desert Sinners MC romance. This tale is well-developed with an engaging storyline that grabs you and holds on from the first page to the last. The main characters Ember and Colt are well-rounded, realistic, intense and funny. This tale has excitement, drama, suspense, action, and the perfect HEA. I loved this tale. This story needs to be on everyone’s TBR List!

Colt and ember have a past that was put to a halt by her father the two barely saw each other in years. Now seven years later Ember and colt are forced together when  things are going down and the two clubs have to work together against danger. Will ember and colt get a second chance at love? Will they get a HEA?

This is the 2nd book I've read written by Rachel Lyn Adams; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.
