NIKKEAH TARANIS is a caster on the run. Two months following the Invocation, Nikkeah lies caught between the waking world and the Echoes, trying to find his footing in the ashes of his former life. Armed with unstable magic and ruthless determination, he searches tirelessly for any advantage he can use against Serai, the ambitious grandmaster of the Dread Coven, whose growing power threatens to upend the lives of innocent casters across the city. As he navigates his strange, new existence, however, Nikkeah is approached by yet another one who promises an alliance in exchange for help finding a missing Dreamer. Locating the Dreamer may give Nikkeah the resources he needs to exact revenge upon the Dread Coven—but only if he chooses his allies wisely. He's not the only person with the power to walk among the Echoes, after all... (Content police brutality, suicide mention, addiction)

STORMBRINGER was one of my favorite indie reads this year, and its rapid-paced sequel absolutely did not disappoint. Oh my god, this is a stellar sequel. HALFSLEEPER is a twisty, fittingly chaotic, entirely unpredictable ride that delves deeper into the intrigue introduced in STORMBRINGER. This series's intricate world and superstar characters make these books unlike anything I've ever read, and I cannot wait to see where the story goes next.
Best. Sequel. EVER! Riveting, dark, sexy, this book has it all! I’m in love with all the characters and the lore is outstanding. I so can’t wait for book 3! :)
I’m really enjoying this series and I think part of it is because the world is so immersive. The descriptions are so good it’s easy to picture everything. The LGBT+ representation is done really well, I think. Where it just feels normal and natural for people to be androgynous or have a same sex partner or be bi or pan or whatever else. It’s not even a controversial talking point and I love that. It’s just accepted, as it should be. I like the callbacks to the first book, and I think you don’t have to read the first to understand this one but I mean, why start a series on the second book? I highly recommend reading the first one first. Great world building, good pacing, amazing writing, and enough of a cliff hanger to keep me excited for the next one even if I have to wait for it, but not so much that I scream in frustration. Love this series so far.
The second book in the Dreamwalker series continues the story of Nikkeah Taranis as he creates his own coven to fight against the Dread Initiative.
I LOVED this book, couldn't put it down really. This universe is one that I fell in love with immediately, and I can't wait to continue reading!
A lot of (for lack of better words) shit happens in the first book, things that aren't quite explained. But throughout the second book, you get the answers your looking for, if not more questions. It's an experience that I can't wait to complete. In short: THINGS ARE COMING TOGETHER, THINGS ARE FALLING APART, I AM BUT A LITTLE MAN IN LOVE WITH NIKKEAH.
