What I liked:
So far, I have read all of the author’s books from His Captive to this latest book, Forbidden Soul. The author’s storytelling with each book has grown a lot. I start my review saying this, because for me, what made Forbidden Soul good, was the construction of this story. Each component, character and point of view was done in a way that pulled you in to where I can paint each scene in my mind vividly as I am reading and I am not able to do that with every book I read.
I appreciate the summary of the pervious books in the series before diving into book 5. It helps a lot as time goes by before the next book in the series. The beginning of the story was like a slow burn, but a very non boring slow burn that kept my interest. The author establishes both Troj and Shaniya individually and gradually kept building until you are literally and eagerly anticipating them merging. Troj is in a MC called the dirty Souls-and Shaniya is Native/Indigenous and the Chief’s niece from a reservation that have secluded themselves from the town to preserve their ways and culture, hence the forbidden in Forbidden Soul as they are from two different worlds that have stayed away from each other. Troj, we already got a sense of who he was as we have seen him throughout the series. Shaniya was the star of this story. You had Shaniya and then the 3rd character at play, her innocence. Without that innocence, this story wouldn’t be what it was.
The story starts out light and sweet up until a certain point, but transitions into dark and graphic. So I will say be prepared for this because it will definitely evoke some strong emotions. Mine were that of anger, tears and literally anxiety.
What was so so:
There isn’t much that I didn’t like. I will only say without spoiling what happened that Shaniya needed more time towards the end for her and I am not sure if she got enough because she was so enamored and consumed with Troj to process on her own. However, I can see that she needed him as well to heal.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY
Sexual chemistry was good and it really was about their build up and tension. I, of course being a book sexaholic would love more, but given the way this story is, it was done right.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
O.M.G I could not wait to write this part.
Rogue and Grimm- like WTF, apart from Troj and Shaniya, these two were giving me lifeeeeeeee with their, vulgar, naughty and outlandish ways.
Squealer- I will be saying a prayer for him with whoever he ends up with, she will need it. I hope it’s Dan, she would be his match I think. He did make me laugh at times while still shaking my head at the things that came out him mouth.
Tawk - I heart him. Can’t say too much don’t want to give anything away. But really want to express some thoughts but won’t.
Of course all the couples of pervious books passed, loved them. The weren’t just drive byes but very much involved especially with each book in the series.
OVERALL:
Was I entertained? Yes. Did I like the story? Yes. Would I read the other books in the series? After 5 books in still a strong yes.

I am not ok after this book.
Definitely this author's best book to date. I'm sitting here speechless and drained in the very best way after finishing. Both your brain and your heart will be destroyed and repaired over and over.
There are no good or eloquent words to describe how perfect this book was. This was the definition of opposites attract, will two souls from different but similar cultures be able to find a way to make sure that love conquers all?
Highly recommend that you start this series from the beginning but trust me this is one book you won't want to miss.

Emma Creed does it again! I love this series with all my heart, and this instalment ripped said heart wide open. Definitely heed the trigger warnings before going into this book. This book has low-key Romeo and Juliet vibes, and I loved how Troj and Shaniya’s forbidden romance unfolds. That said, Troj does do something that I think required a lot more groveling on his part. Shaniya didn’t expect groveling, but I, as a reader, certainly did!
All in all, this is a five star read from me, and I’m eagerly awaiting Squealer’s instalment.

This series is just phenomenal and this one is no exception. Awesome, intricate storyline, wonderful characters, and TONS of twists and turns. Totally builds you up to tear you apart to piece you all back together again. Can't wait for the next one! Multiple series story arcs still open, but the MCs get their HEA.

Incredible Dark MC Romance
Wow!! This book is not for the faint of heart but it was a fantastic MC book that grabbed my attention from the very beginning and held me hostage until the last page was read. I fell in love with Troj and Shaniya’s story which took me on a crazy rollercoaster ride of emotions and made them a couple I could really get behind. Let’s talk about surprises…just when I thought I had things figured out the author took me in another direction which I never saw coming. I love it when that happens. .
This author knows how to write an excellent MC romance with darkness but also with the line of love that emanates from her characters. Ms. Creed has made me a follower. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this amazing series.

WOW! She has done it again!
Each time I start a book by Emma Creed I KNOW it’s going to be 5 stars. And every time I finish it I’m right, but I’m also blown away at just HOW GOOD it was.
She’s insanely talented at creating the Dirty Souls world and the storylines she weaves in the background are amazing.
I’ve always been curious about Troj through the first four books and now knowing him and his story, I LOVE HIM!
He’s extremely protective in that yummy, sweet alpha way some of the guys have.
He’s one of the most loyal brothers and you wouldn’t want to be a club enemy, but to Shaniya, he’s incredibly sweet. I swooned SO many times reading this.♥️
The way their love story started was just so lovely, especially for a Dirty Soul! But it made me smile so much.
Shaniya is from the reservation that the club compound is next to. She knows nothing of the modern world.
She’s a sweet, caring girl who finds happiness in helping others.
She’s meant to marry one of the villagers, but her heart belongs to another…. ♥️
I know this will stay with me for a long time, it was just that good.
I loved getting to see the others and see how they are all doing.
The little hints of things that Emma dropped in this book has me really excited for more from the Dirty Souls and the women who love them!

This book just might be my favorite book by Emma Creed to date ! Omggg I’m left utterly speechless!!! Every story I read from this author just gets better and better! This book was the definition of opposite’s attract Troj and Shaniya’s journey is not for the faint of heart I cried I swooned I might of thrown my kindle a time or two this was such a ride it’s beautiful it’s emotional and it’s steamy af ! Definitely recommend!

Shaniya should be scared but isn't, something telling her that the man before her is safe.
That moment was only the beginning.
There is a war coming to the Souls but this time, they aren't the only ones being threatened. When the fight takes them to their neighbors doorstep, things that Troj has wanted, finally finds a way to come true.
There is so much angst that turns into hurt. So much love that feels instant but it's a culmination of years. Then, just when you thought they've gone through it all, Emma hits you where it hurts and shows you how strong these characters have to become. Even more so when they have to battle the demons within.

I loved diving back in to the Dirty Souls world and seeing what the gang were up to in Manitou Springs. And every time, I’m drawn in by the story telling and the characters that Emma has imagined.
This time, we got to see Troj and his story to what led him to the life of a dirty soul and how he found his old lady. Shaniya is from a whole other world just right next door to the souls compound.
Watching their story unfold with the twists and the drama had me on the edge just waiting to find out what happens next. Oh those twists!! My goodness I cried with the revelation of one of the later ones.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on an ARC of this book in exchange for this review.

Tw brutal gang rape
Okay I love Shan. She's awesome loved her strength and her heart I hate Troj he did nothing to redeem himself. Taking out the men who raped his ol lady is not the only thing that should qualify forgiveness that's what these men do anyway. I understand it shows how string sge us but it's complete and udder bullshit. Rogue is the best thing about any of these books and I love her character. I think Rogue should start a woman's only ol lady club and teach them how to fight and shoot. So abbys dad..he ain't on the up and up thought he was the masked man totally don't trust him. These books have covered all emotions from me and I don't know whether I hate that or love it.

Another Soul In Love
Forbidden Soul is book 5 in Emma Creed’s Dirty Souls series.
This is Troj and Shan’s story. For 3 years Troj and Shan have had a connection but being from 2 different worlds has kept them apart until one fateful night brings those 2 worlds together.
The connection between them is what I one day wish to feel. Troj knew the moment he saw Shan that he wanted to make her his and he definitely did that!!

And Emma has out done herself again! Seriously the Dirty Soul series has been amazing. I love that each of these books tell the story of the club but also the different stories of each soul! I knew that Troj’s story was going to be good. I laughed and I cried so hard through the very hard parts. I hurt for Troj and even more for Shaniya. Living through what happened can break you and it almost did to them. Troj took what happened as his fault and he needed to right the wrong But finding your true mate it can be the only way to mend you back together.
I highly recommend the Dirty Soul series! It will not disappoint!

I literally can’t write anything about this book at the moment. I’m raw and beaten - yet again.
Emma has kicked my ass with her Dirty Souls. I’ve been waiting for Troj and he didn’t disappoint - in fact he was everything.
This Romeo and Juliet story is more soaked in blood and brains than Shakespeare could even begin to imagine and as usual the jaw dropping revelations keep coming like machine gun fire.

Okay, okay. I know I said this about the last book, but the storyline of this book is my favorite so far in the series.

Pointless
This book is about Shan and Troj and it’s all over the place and I’m starting to hate that all these books are predictable honestly these authors need new material. She’s putting too much in and not executing it properly, these bikers are criminals meant to think like criminals but none of them do. So this book started on an ok note but then straight away I knew who the guy in the alley was and the bad guys, and knew then that too much was going in but nothing was coming together the author kept pushing things over to the next book and it would be good if each couple dealt with there bad guy in there book, the author already have chop running through the books.
To be honest after what happened to Shan and storm I hated how the author let Shan have to be the one to fixed troj when she needed to heal and deal with her trauma.
Troj was selfish it was all about him and how he feels, your woman is hurting and needs you but he couldn’t suck it up to be there for her. I skipped pages because it was starting to piss me off also, what happened to Shan didn’t need to happen it was pointless. This book had so much potential but just fell flat and Jessie having chapter again. Even nyx chapter was pointless it was like she just filling pages for the sake of it. A lot of reviews say these book are dark but they are not if you can predict the out come then their is no suspense. So I’m getting off this ride & I’m done with these books.

OH BOY, make sure you have tissues nearby when you read this book. If you have triggers there may be a chapter that you may want to skip over. So lets meet Troj and Shaniya. In this book we have the club and the reservation clash. But can these two bring them together with what is going on. Troj and Shaniya have somewhat of a history. They really get to know each other in this book. I loved to see how they growing throughout the book. As things start to ramp up in the book be prepared to go through a range of emotions. I mean I was left numb at a point then wanting to through my kindle on the floor. It was a mess. I was crying at some point. All I could think about was that Troj is a man who will do anything for his woman. Then the story started to go a different way and I was like, Emma you can not do this to me!! Like for real!! With his fists clenched in the blood of another, Troj is not a man to pick a fight with unless you're in need of getting smashed to the ground and wanting to feel your bones shake. Troj has earnt his place within the Dirty Souls, winning each battle after battle and with it the faceless women who drop to their knees begging to see to his other needs that the fight fuels his veins.
Troj is loyal to the club and is a highly respectful member, he will lay down his life for his friends, his brothers and do anything to keep his family safe. A threat is coming, the air is reeking with the scum that wants to rip away everything the club does and cause more ripples closer to home. Something that will cause trouble not only for them but their neighbours…they however see the club as the enemy…but they won’t be able to stop what’s coming their way.
And Troj is keeping something or rather someone close to his chest. A fleeting moment that keeps him running to the spot where he first saw her. Someone who Troj can’t keep off his mind.
As the threat grows it becomes clear that they must bridge the gap with their neighbours. If only they agree to work together that is…but now nothing will stop Troj from seeking the one who’s captured his heart.
Everyone here will know she’s off-limits soon enough…because there’s one thing that’s come of out this huge fuckin’ mess that I’ve just decided ain’t up for negotiation.

Troj & Shaniya <3 A very unique fitting these two really were! I loved the classic unknown love that they shared, of the secret moments they shared and feeling the pressure of everything they knew but unable to fend off the temptation they felt for each other. You can feel everything that they share, it’s raw, true and sweet the care that Troj has for her.
“I warned you that if you kissed me again, you’d be mine. I meant it.”
Of course that all put aside…as you know this is not a fairytale romance storyline…by far from it!
This story really does develop and grow deeper, there is an undercurrent of the unknown that you can feel and you know Emma Creed she will keep you on your toes and turn those pages!
I loved this story, it was different and kept the main storyline fresh with events that happened.
Of course, we get to see all of the characters we love! The ladies are really making a bold statement now within the club, stepping up to the mark and their men are pulling their hair with each antic and failing not to fall even more in love with them…even though they are getting their boxers into a twist!
I love this series, it’s exciting, sexy and even through the dark times something always remains clear, this dysfunctional family will always be there for each other…no matter the cost.

worth so much more than 5 stars!!!
Omigod!!!! Emma Creed has pulled it out of the bag again with another explosive book in the Dirty Souls series, it's no wonder she is one of my top go-to authors of all time.
Forbidden Soul is my new favourite of the series and I fell in love with Troj and Shaniya. 🥰
If you’ve read the first book, Lost Soul, then you’ll know that this author doesn’t pull any punches and no character is safe from her dark and cleverly, twisted mind. She proves this yet again in the fifth, and most harrowing to date, instalment of her gritty and deliciously dark MC series.
The plot is fast paced, violent, graphic and heart-breaking in places, hot and passionate and laugh-out-loud hilarious in others. The twists are fabulous and had my jaw dropping in shock and my blood pumping with adrenaline, from the tension and suspense.
You thought you were spent up after reading Grimm’s story? Just wait until you read Troj’s!!
I have chuckled, grinned like an idiot, laughed out loud, sighed like a lovesick fool, cried, shouted out in shock, anger, injustice and disbelief and cheered my way through this tense and gripping page turner. In short, I’ve been through one helluva roller coaster ride of emotions.
I was hurting so much for Troj and Shaniya 😩 There were some scenes that left my heart feeling very heavy with emotion, splintering and shattering it into a million pieces. While others lifted it up, restoring and filling it back up until it was bursting with warmth and love for those Dirty Souls and the people they love. I love these characters with a passion and feel very protective towards them. So much so that, when they hurt - I hurt, wanting revenge and justice with the same ferocity as the Souls do.
Forbidden Soul is definitely NOT for the faint-hearted so if you have any triggers at all, then this book is NOT for you. However, if, like me you have none whatsoever then I can’t recommend it enough!!

Forbidden Soul is book 5 and the the latest book of the Lost Souls series by Emma Creed. This book is the perfect addition to an already great series. Troj is the Sargent-at-Arms for the MC. This group of men protect their family but everyone else should watch out. He notices a Native American woman on the reservation that borders the Souls' property. He runs on their land, which is a forbidden area but he can't help himself. He must see her. She makes him feel things he never though he would.
Shaniya is the niece of the chief of the tribe. Her uncle is very set in the old ways and has promised her to Tawk. One day while secretly out at town she witnesses a murder but after promising to never tell a soul she is released. When Shaniya sets eyes on Troj, he is a man she can't forget however many problems stand in the way of thwm being together.
Ivan Cooper is back. He is scheming to get the tribal lands as well as possible the land the Dirty Souls own. Troj steps up to save the lands.
I don't want to talk too much about the plot but let me say I couldn't put the book down. The characters are not angels but they love and protect their family fiercely. When bad things happen to Shaniya and Troj, the whole MC and their ladies rally around them to help. Even Rogue steps in to be a bestr friend to Shaniya. I could go on and on but this series is dark but compelling. Bad things happen to good people but they find the strength to come out on the other side, not undamaged but stronger. As a reader we get to see the whole package, the good and the bad. The plot has suspense and twists to keep you turning the pages and you will. Forbidden Souls is best read along with the other books as the characters reoccur and their back story rounds out the stories. I recommend this book for those who love strong men and women who don't let things stop them.

Troj is Prez’s Sgt at Arms- the fighter- the protector. He is just as strong and heard headed as his other brothers in the club. There is nothing he fears.
Then he meets her.
Shaniya, the native girl who belongs to the local tribe that hates the Souls. She’s sweet and innocent with a huge heart- everything that he feels he’s not. And, of course, it certainly doesn’t help that her uncle REALLY hates the Souls. But just when things start looking up, everything hits the fan. This story was a HUGE page-turner for me. I couldn’t stop. I HAD to know!! And trust me… you are NOT ready for all the twists and turns in Troj’s story.
After all, you know what they say about forbidden fruit being the sweetest………
HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

The Hatfields and McCoy's, West Side Story, Romeo and Juliette, Pocahontas...
Why do I mention these? They all have one thing in common, two souls who are separated by the 'laws.' The fueds, the idea of what is right and what is love.
Troj is the Sargeant at Arms of the Dirty Souls and from the moment he sees her, sitting in the river crying, he was in love. This beautiful broken soul who is from the reservation, a tribe that hates the MC and everything they stand for. He knows that, but it doesn't matter, she will be his.
Shaniya is the niece of the Chief. She is to be betrothed to Tawk, the strongest warrior of the tribe. Knowing what she should want, and what her heart sees causes a war within herself. When it feels right, it shouldn't be forbidden.
Outside of the long lasting turmoil between the MC and the tribe, there is a threat to the land that leads to them joining forces. They will all need to work together and in the middle of all the madness, Troj and Shan are fighting for their union.
I am not going to lie, some of their story was hard to push through, but it was worth every traumatic page. Emma Creed takes it to the next level with each brother. I think my hangover is going to stick around until the next Soul is in my hands. WELL DONE!

Omg I just finished forbidden soul . Emma creed omg this This book really did a number on me. It also shows us women can be strong as well and I thank you. I love it from the beginning how they meet and what happens to shanniya. It was mindblowing and amazing as well. Thank you I have To say this book is me.

I was warned that this book was heartbreaking, extremely suspenseful and unpredictable—and they were one hundred percent correct. It was absolutely brilliant!
The two lead characters, Shaniya and Troj, were so different but they worked together so well. Shaniya was such a beautiful person, both inside and out, she was caring and compassionate but luckily had an inner strength that she needed badly. Troj was a fighter and it was good to learn more about him. He, too, was a caring and compassionate person but his darker side meant he got unpleasant things done when needed.
There were times when I literally sat on the edge of my seat and read as fast as I could to find out what happened next, the build up being so exciting and dramatic. There were times when I was devastated by circumstances and things that happened, but then there were others when I laughed out loud due to the great humour, and there were moments when I swooned with the wonderful romance.
Ms Creed, you sure tested me with this book, I went through every emotion possible and often stopped to absorb the details because that’s how intense the writing was and how thought provoking, as well as full of angst. This series keeps getting better and better and I eagerly await the next book!

Another phenomenal book in the Dirty Souls MC series! I absolutely can’t get enough! Every book I read just keeps getting better, and the world gets bigger and the characters are more dynamic! I’m so attached to these characters and find myself yelling and cheering them on!
Some answers are finally coming to light I’ve been curious about, but some things and
THIS book though?! It about destroyed me! It pushed to me to edge and shoved me right off…I was reading along waiting for all the good stuff to happen that I thought was coming, and then…BAM! I’m crying and not sure anyone is finding their way back to a happy place. Emma has a way of tearing your heart out and slowly mending it back together!

I do love how Emma writes so descriptively you feel as if you are there with the characters, and you feel those emotions as if they are your own. These books and the characters stay with me long after I finish reading them. I can’t wait for the next book! 🖤🖤
