I wasn't sure what to expect, I love her writing but this was a whole new world and sometimes those go weird, lol.
But this, this was amazing. The characters, the back story, the sexy moments......all were spot on.
These alien women are strong but Earth, it's a whole new world. These females may have lost everything but they still didn't give up hope, now they just need willing males, woot! The humans have no idea what's coming, they aren't used to alien heat cycles! I don't know what's going to happen next but man oh man, I sure hope we get more to find out. I have questions!

Great Read! This novel gives a twist to a common science fiction theme...women warriors are searching for men! Strong, capable men. Go get ´em ladies! This novel starts out steamy; Silth is on a mission to calm her heat. Unexpectedly, a bond forms and they must figure out how to stay together once the heat ends. Meanwhile, another evil alien predator is on the loose. I love this new series and look forward to the next novel. This is the first book I have read by Claire Marta and now I am on the hunt for all her other works!

First book in a new series by Claire Marta, Silth’s Song is a great read and I highly recommend it to everyone. While looking for a new book and author, I heard of someone who was looking for people to read their latest book and give their honest opinion. So, I figured “Hey, why not?" and I absolutely do not regret my decision either! Silth's song was a fun, steamy ride and I look forward to what's to come in the rest of the series.

Silth finds herself on a mission, far from home, when her heat cycle comes on and cannot be ignored. So, she lands on Earth in search of someone who can quench this fire inside her. Queue Noah, ex Black Ops turned recluse, living alone in rural Minnesota. The chemistry between Silth and Noah is… wait for it… out of this world. Here in a world of their own, Silth and Noah discover that there is something beautiful and magical that has been forged between the two and they must now figure out what a future together would look like amidst forces that dare to tear them apart. Oh, and it is filled with lots of delicious steam for those of us that like a bit of a spicier bite to our books! Hmm… Just remembering some of those scenes!

As someone who was born, raised, and still lives in Minnesota, I was delighted to realize that Silth’s Song was centered here and love all the little nods to places, customs, and little sayings I grew up loving so much. Claire Marta did such a wonderful job crafting this world and weaving it into the reality that I personally know so well. Thank you, Claire! I can’t wait to read each and every book in this series! Like, now… So, get writing book 2 already, will you?

This is the first book in a new series by this author. When it comes to alien romance, or really anything that involves alien...Not really sure how I feel about it as a genre. But I'm always willing to give it a read to see how the author tells the story. And I'm already a fan of Claire Marta's previous books so that alone made me check it out.

It took me a little bit to get into the story and connect with the characters. But I did finish it. I was pleasantly surprised at how the author told this story. As I said, Alien romance/genre isn't usually something I pick up. Loved the world building and how she told the story.

But I did really enjoy reading this and would recommend it.

Enjoyable first book

This was a wonderful book about a female from an alien race who Has entered her heat cycle and requiring
a healthy male to impregnate her so that she does not fight and tear herself and her shipmates apart from the rage. The characters were enjoyable and it was a very fast pace book from A to B straight to Z. Very much enjoyed as a first in the series and looking forward to more from this lovely author. It had aliens, humans dogs, enemies, a lot of sexy times and mermaids or sirens whichever way you like to look at them.

Interesting

This book was interesting. An alien species made of the female kind are in heat and need to find males to mate with or go mad. One of them ends up on earth but crashes into another intergalactic ship when they were trying to land. That other ship contained enemies of their kind. Silth is the name of the alien god in heat. She finds Noah, a retired vet and seduces him.

There’s action and some funny moments when Silth tries to learn the human ways.

Overall it was entertaining and I enjoyed it.

It was great that this author made a whole new “world” for her readers!! It was like a science-fiction with a twist. Strong alien women with human mates. Slith is on a mission when unexpectedly her heat commos upon her so she must calm it with a male but an unexpected bond forms. Noah just wants to live the quiet life after leaving his black ops missions behind him. So it is unexpected when he goes to the lake and finds a mermaid living in it. The humans have no idea what’s out there and once coming for them… but they soon will. I can’t wait for the series to continue!!

This was pretty good, given the constraints of the tropes. I enjoyed how the relationship evolved, which was helped by the small cast. The challenge of the monster wasn't outrageous. The sex was creative and hot.

This is similar to another "mermaid" book I have read, but better.

The title and set-up suggest there will be a series, which I will follow.

[The Endless Unread]

This was so unbelievably good. Both the characters and the storyline were on point. I loved the world building and the book played out its movie in my head perfectly. Stunning!
