Forget the subpoenas. Forget the lawsuits. Forget the investigations. There's a fly with sophisticated eavesdropping equipment that's been following him around in the Oval Office and then at Mar-a-Lago. Transcripts of Trump's conversations - with Fauci, with NSC staff, with Putin, with Ivanka, with lots of others, are now available for all to see.
The result - you'll laugh your butt off and wonder, at times, whether it really is fiction. Perfect for fans of Stephen Colbert and Trevor Noah, Oh Daddy Chronicles: The Tasting allows you to swirl those conversations around your palette and savor the taste - the taste of laughing at Donald Trump, that is.
Barry Robbins is a retired CPA with a keen interest in things having nothing to do with accounting. He spent 26 years working for a large accounting firm. Then he quit. He moved to Helsinki, Finland with his Finnish wife and two beautiful daughters 20 years ago. He now spends much of his time living in Florida, struggling to adapt to life in what often seems like a foreign country. The years spent in Europe gave him new eyes through which to see the U.S. That, plus the time spent freelancing as a ghostwriter of book reports for lazy third graders, make him uniquely qualified to serve as Chronicler-in-Chief of the Oh Daddy Chronicles.
In the vein of Hunter S. Thompson, or even an Onion article, this is an amusing satirical take on Citizen Trump and his cohorts.
I understand it is excerpts from two previous writings - and this does make me want to check those out now. However this "chronicle" was a tad on the short side, as it did leave me wanting more.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
On a few occasions, I laughed so hard I could not talk. My daughter called during one of these episodes. When I was able to relay a couple of examples of the cause of my inability to speak without breaking into uncontrolled laughter, she understood my problem. I've had my vaccines. Now you have given me a different kind of booster med during this pandemic and its attendant woes. Thank you for the smiles during this satirical stroll through that foggy time.
For a collection of humorous short stories, there wasn't too much humor. Now, I think Trump is a miserable excuse for a human being, and I support anyone who points out his many weaknesses and failures of character, but I just didn't see much humor in most of these stories. They were more absurd than funny.
Hilarious read! Would love to have all 3 books! This series shows the creative imaginations of the author. Of course some of the events and comments are based on actual events but the twist are the exaggerations. Well done!
This not particularly funny book of quick skits can be read in an afternoon but is better suited to being posted in the bathroom for when one just wants something to read other than the tissue wrapper. I had a free copy through Authors XP and this is my voluntary review.
This book was well written by Barry Robbins making you laugh all the way though. If you like poking at the political world this book is for you to enjoy and laugh!
This is a short little political satire about Donald Trump while he was President of the United States. If you don't mind political humor, you will like this.
