He wants to set her soul alight. She wants to watch him burn…
I made a mistake, now he’s going to make me pay.
Meet Kyt, the rogue alien warrior version of a playboy. He’s all devilish good looks and angelic alien badness. He lives for the party, until my nearly catastrophic error means he’s put in charge of me.
Playboy no longer, he’s just become the boss from hell and he’s in the perfect position to ensure I do his every bidding.
If I don’t please him, and we don’t manage to break the sentient AI that controls all organic life on this planet, then we’re both in a whole heap of trouble.
Although, given the way he’s been looking at me lately, I think I’m already in more trouble than I ever dreamed possible…
Be prepared to steam up your kindle with this hot and spicy book from Hattie Jacks. This enemies to lovers sci-fi romance is on FIRE. FIRE is the third in the Rogue Alien Warrior series - these books are best read in order:
1. FIERCE: A Sci-Fi Alien Romance 2. FEAR: A Sci-Fi Alien Romance 3. FIRE: A Sci- Fi Alien Romance 4. Coming soon! 5. Coming soon!
I had my doubts about Sophie as a FMC - and they were justified. I feel like her motivation and risk vs benefit analysis were off. The reason she makes most of her choices, wanting recognition for her work, makes sense to a degree. But how the fuck does she justify some of the shit she pulls even in her own mind? It just seemed like there was a disconnect that was never fully addressed. Now Kyt on the other hand, I liked. Mostly. He had trauma that tied in pretty directly to his decision making process. He was still a little shit most of the time, but he was a lovable little shit. Their dynamic as a couple was interesting, but they are by far my least fave couple at this point.
Spice: 4/5

This very intriguing Aluen Romance has a well-constructed story with well-written characters. I enjoyed this book and the unique characters that were created. This will keep you engaged throughout the story. A must read

Definitely better than the last book. In terms of like drama there is some back and forth but it's more mild and has to do with character internal conflicts.
I did enjoy the dynamic and buildup/summary of this book more than the last. I do think in terms of character building that throughout the books it has been getting better for learning about the male and female leads. However I do think for sure now, that these are not real big standalone books.
For the RELATIONSHIP minus the steam part - was probably one of the best out of the three in terms of building up. Both characters had their scars and I did think it was written interestingly enough where they are both still flawed but make each other better.
However in terms of steam..........I thought this was sort of not that hot and mild like book 2. Book 1 still has the highest in terms of steam to me, and I really do think part of the thing is that I don't think actually these books are standalones. The whole Pronto antagonist stuff and even just understanding the anatomy of how the Gryn bodies are - are not explained in either Book 2 or 3, it was only in Book 1. Sure it's implied I suppose, but if you didn't read Book 1 you wouldn't notice that in Book 2 and 3...both of the male protags stuck both of their things, which is why it triggered the female leads to get knocked up.
...in all considering at least Jyr explained that and even eased it into the FL? The other two guys are just ...lol going at it, and it's sorta amazing that their counterparts take it the first time.
Side note, but again omgosh Jyr also drived me crazy in this book as well???? I feel like these books do a good job at showing WHY or how much he is the leader of the group, but it actually also makes me do a double take at how he's also the sort of weird...matchmaker/dramastarter for the main couples.
Although I'm not that attached to the steam sadly...even though it has SO MUCH good premise and like anatomy...I'm actually just staying for the world building and looking forward to the next still.
🔥 “Two halves of a whole. You are my fearless warrior. You are the fire in my heart.” ~~~ Sophie is amazing! She’s smart, fierce, resourceful and brave. I loved her feistiness and her strength to deal with all the dangers she was facing. And she has a lot to prove to the winged warriors. I felt strongly about her struggles and insecurities with her job on Earth and how they’ve affected her life after her abduction. But she’s a woman not to be messed with and I adored her so much!
Kyt is a playboy and a party animal. But beneath his devilish and carefree nature hides so much vulnerability. And we get to witness what an absolutely magnificent male he is - strong, fiercely protective, smart, responsible, lovable, possessive and so, so adorable. I loved absolutely everything about him!
Everything that happened between those two brainy troublemakers was perfect! I loved their banters, the teasing and the dirty talks. They definitely had to go through a lot to prove themselves. And they were so wild and unstoppable together. They were truly made for each other. Their chemistry was fantastic and the fiery passion they shared was an absolute delight to read!
In addition, the war with Proto continues. The suspense kept me glued to the pages till the very end.
Even more, I loved the banters between the women. I laughed with Bianca so much!
Overall, the story is another fantastic addition to the series. It’s filled with danger, twists, fast-paced action, adventure, steamy romance and magnificent characters.
I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every page of it! ~ I received an advance copy of this book and am super excited to leave a review.
The life of the party, Kyt is about to meet his match!
***** Rating: 4 stars Steam: 2.5 flames Genre: Alien / Sci-fi Romance, Fated Mates, Broken MMC ***** It’s book 3 and now it is Kyt’s turn to fall… and Sophie is going to be the one to put this alien’s partying days in the past. But first.. They have to get along!
I have adored Kyt from the beginning. I couldn't wait to see how and who he would fall for. He is the youngest of the Seniors and he also went through more than anyone can imagine. Kyt made me want to just hug him and wrap him in a burrito of love!
Sophie has a giant chip on her shoulder, she is intelligent, standoffish and a little snarky. The chip is understandable as she has been hurt and her creative work stolen from her by men in power. On this new planet, she refuses to let that happen again! When she and Kyt start working together, will she be able to overcome her biases and let Kyt in?
This story moves us closer to defeating Protos, and I'm infatuated with this world and its residents. I'm in it for the long term, and I can't wait for Protos to fall and our next growly alien protector to fall as well! I'm utterly hooked on this series because of the suspense, world-building, characters, and steam! A must read series in my opinion!
I was sent this book in exchange for an honest review. Every place has its party boy and for the Lair - it's Kyt. Tortured by Proto and scared to be alone he has perfected the party host label down to the finest detail. There's plenty of alcohol and plenty of mercs who are prepared to drink themselves into oblivion with him. His boss is far from impressed and allocates Sophie - human troublemaker to work alongside him. Of course tempers flare - humans are the underdog and females are only good for one thing - breeding. To have one who knows computers and tech is rare and Kyt isn't happy about sharing his workshop with this annoying little human female. The adventures, insecurities, emotional upheaval on both sides, perceived betrayals, you name it - it's working full time in Kyt's workshop. But fate is a strange bedfellow and slowly Sophie gets under Kyt's skin. She proves she's more than just a pretty face and facing down their mortal enemies they learn to work together and a lot more into the bargain. Ms Jacks always puts out a damn good story and I recommend anything with her name on the front cover.
This entry is about Kyt and Sophie. Myths the resident play it and party animal whose smart with the tech but has demons from his time as Protos prisoner. He doesn't want a mate especially one showcases trouble. Sophie is perpetually angry and to a point it's understandable until it become annoying. Before she was abducted she's was on the road to being a computer wiz. But betrayal & an assault from a work colleague has made her a shell of herself. She's wants to prove her worth on this new planet and show the warrior she's good with tech and can help. Mistakes happen and punishments occur and these two are forced to play nice together. Kyt s playboy persona is a bit annoying but when you understand the background it's okay. These two fight and then give into their attraction all while trying to understand each other and fix technology that is older than proto itself. Danger lurks around every corner and tempers and passions rise. Read and find out how these two all e their problems and save the people they love.🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥
I love this enemy to lover story. Sophie is great. I love her personality. She is her own person and not afraid to be herself. Kyt, aka party boy loves a good party. What more is there to say. He's quartermaster and trying to work on a way to defeat the AI. But hey , there's also always a party to prep for. The conflict between them is outstanding. Love the chemistry and slow burn to their inevitable HEA. Sweet and spicy is accurate for them. Having to work with Sophie is cutting into his party time. Although he does find ways to annoy her. I was given this book through Bookfunnel with no obligation for my honest review. Action packed, intrigue and of course eventual steam make this a must read. I would recommend this story / series. I was given this book through Bookfunnel with no obligation for my honest review.
Sophie, the human female lead, has been burned by the misogyny on earth in her field of IT. Kyt, the alien male lead, is still traumatised by the torture he underwent while captive as a child/teen. Neither wants to work together but, when circumstances force them together, they realise that there may be more to the other person than either expected.
This story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a great addition to the series. I really empathised with Sophie’s position and appreciated how she worked to overcome both her own expectations and Kyt’s expectations to make a space that fit her. Whilst the romance story stands alone, it is better read as part of the series because of the overarching plot.

3.5/5 rounded up. Okay this book had a pretty good plot and I understand why the author put these two together. They had similar problems to overcome which they could only do after seeing past their initial impressions. But good grief they’re annoying. Kyt and Sophie have a lot of character development largely because they’re annoying. They can’t take responsibility for their actions “it’s not my fault. I didn’t bring proto here I only made the machine and turned it on but sooooo not my fault”. And I can empathize with Sophie's experience as a female in a male dominated industry but the chip on her shoulder is bigger than the grand canyon. There were some cute moments with Kyt and i love all the bird behaviour and inspiration. Im curious what will happen from here now that Proto has been at least dented.
Amazing story. Sophie is smart, brave, fierce, spunky, ingenious and a total bada**. She's going to show Kyt a thing or two. She did have lots of of baggage and insecurities while on Earth and they altered her life after being abducted. Kyt is your typical Earths description of a playboy. But you find that his attitude hides lots of his vulnerability. We find that he's really very lovable, possessive, strong vicious when he has to be, and amazing. Their banter between each other was great. Their chemistry is hot and steamy, and when they worked together there were fantastic. The story has action, suspense, adventure, steam, and romance. Can't wait to read the next story Fallen. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So the book started out great as it really kept me entertained and invested. It’s been a while since a book kept my attention. However the downfall was when Kyt went back to his bad habit of drinking especially after a battle!! Like I know they had a fight but the fact he didn’t keep looking for her just made me dislike him. I don’t think he really redeemed himself. And it really made me wonder why they were together. Like I get he went through something traumatic but he seemed so childish and didn’t really grow as a person. Yes he cared for his people but not enough to to do better. I like Sophie. She grew and went after what she wanted, Spoke her mind. Either way will continue with the series.
Sophie was really a jump the gun type character, she didn’t really talk things through. If she got her feelings hurt she’d storm off or get mad instead of communicating. But then she’d literally forgive Kyn right away after seeing him so I didn’t understand the point lmao
Kyn was super immature, like yeah he went through shit but he didn’t take his position seriously. All he did was get drunk, party, and not do his work. He didn’t communicate either.
It got better towards the end bc they figured the issue they were solving out but damn. It was over all a good book
Kyt and Sophie both needed to grow up and to open their guarded hearts, but that couldn’t happen until they were forced to work together. What a journey they had to travel! I enjoyed the descriptions of Kyt, as he sounded fluffy and adorable, which is totally in conflict with the giant predator nature of the senior Gryns! Sophie seemed to have an immovable boulder on her shoulder. I didn’t think it would ever get knocked off! Of the couples in this series so far, they seemed the most equal - two halves making a whole. I thoroughly enjoyed their story!
This book was a huge mess of angst, confusion and miscommunication. Both Kyt and Sophie have had horrible things happen to them and are stuck in their ways, so as a result there was a whole lot of back and forth and lots of confused emotions. Eventually they do find their way through it all but not without a whole lot of issues and frustration. I do admit that Kyt is super cute and just wants to be loved. And Sophie just wanted to be acknowledged and seen. Quite good all in all.
Fire is book 3 in the Rogue Alien Warriors series and is another fun and entertaining read.
Gryn warrior Kyt is an immature, tech wiz, party animal and oh so stubborn male who needs to be tarred and feathered. Sophie is a headstrong but brilliant tech hacker from earth who is forced to work with Kyt to battle the villainous AI with its own tech.
Fire has a lot of drama, a romp with the sexy boss theme, adventure, friends, and cute little Gryn younglings!
I recommend starting the Rogue Alien Warrior series from the beginning. The characters and events carry on from one book to the next and makes for a fantastic binge read!
This is the story of Kyt and Sophie. These two have quite a bit in common. He understands Gryn tech and Sophie is a techie from earth. That alone gives them a one up with each other. Together they work to discover a way to disarm Proto. Amazingly they do serious damage to Proto. There are sexual scenes that may offend some readers. These two can’t keep their hands off of one another.
Sophie and Kyt remind me of a high school couple. There just mentally wasn't it for me. most of their relationship was sexual attraction and when they weren't fucking they were having juvenile conversations about topics we were supposed to take seriously but I couldn't find it in my heart to. A lot of their reactions were very thoughtless and selfish on both ends. I honestly don't know how they can adult at all.
A great new addition to this story! Great world building. I loved all the characters. Sophie and Kyt butt heads a lot. He's a party-boy. She's a former goth girl who gets in trouble. And now both of them have to work together and they aren't happy about it. An enemies-to-lovers romance with slow burn. I enjoyed it. 5 stars.
This story is Kyt’s, the lair’s party animal, and Sophie’s, former goth girl and current trouble, enemies-to-lovers romance, and boy do these two have chemistry. I loved how hard Sophie fought for recognition and respect, and how dearly Kyt loved and respected her in the end. This series is full of love, family and excitement and I’m enjoying every bit of it!
This was such an engaging read and it's action packed, full of danger and twists, and is rounded out with a sweet and steamy romance, This story is an enemies to lovers trope and these two filled that niche beautifully. Banter, fab characters and a fast paced plot really kept me glued to my reader, giving this story all the things to make for an awesome reading experience. Good fun!
Out is a damaged playboy hiding his pain behind partying. Soohie..., Well sometimes Sophie comes across as a snippy bitch. Yeah, yeah, she was attacked and then had her projects taken, but sometimes it just seemed like she was snippy and selfish. When they finally get together it is fire.
Whew!! Talk about trouble …Kyt and Sophie seem to be immersed in a never ending litany of trouble! Double that trouble, when they can’t stop fighting each other and Proto brings the fight right into the Gryns’ lair! Kyt and Sophie are both exciting, high energy, talented, and emotionally damaged individuals but together they set the pages on fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Enemies to lovers... me encantó.
The dynamic between the two main characters was great. The sass and the enjoyment written into the story of their back and forth was highly entertaining. The world building and storyline progresses at a fast pace and I love the way the two people have to work together to combat the evil AI. Really feisty fmc in this one that I appreciated.
I’ve read almost all the series and is great. These women are stolen from Earth and end up in a planet of gorgeous men with wings. The bad AI Proto robots are trying to kill them all but they keep fighting them for years. The women mate them & give them a reason to fight. Steamy scenes are great.
This one was so fun. Kyt, the resident playboy and party animal fownt think je wants or needs a mate. He really doesn't want to work with a human on his tech. Sophie is a great character! Smart and stubborn. Kyt can be so adorable. I really liked seeing them come together.
OK. This one picked up and was goooooood! The main alien in this one, Kyt, was a pleasure to read because he seemed more human and less caveman-ish. His relationship with Sophie is *chefs kiss*. I really like their romance and the plot has thickened even more. I literally could not put this book down. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a cheesy book and there’s a lot of smut, but it felt refreshing.
This one was my favorite. Partyboy Kyt and Tech Wanabe Sophie are legit enemies to lovers. After both of them are caught causing trouble, they are forced to work along side each other to figure out an issue with tech. I really enjoyed the character growth in this story. Could definitely use more plot but I still enjoyed it.
