The Kronic is the story of Miracle Howard, a neurodiverse MFA grad student researching the preservation of early Black American film, and Kris "The Kronic" Kyrikos, former professional football player and current A+ list Hollywood star. (Think Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, bald and sweet and badass.)

It's a best friends-to-lovers romance that is equal parts fluffy blanket, fresh-cookies-out-of-the-oven SWEETNESS and oh-my-gosh-I-cannot-read-this-in-public-'cause-my-face-is-turning-red DIRTY.

Miracle is sensory-seeking, and Goree-Bell's lyrical prose and lavish lingering on textures and scents and sensation lets you live in Miracle's beautiful, technicolor world. This is a joyful book, and Miracle is a joyful woman. She's worked hard to make a happy, independent life for herself, and she guards her balance and peace fiercely, so Kris (and the mess that comes along with his fame) is a huge risk. Kris' job is to convince her that he's a safe place, and the man does what he needs to do to prove it to her.

Lord, does he do what he needs to do.

(Don't be misled by the innocence of the first few chapters. This is a HOT read, and Kris is a 5/5 dirty talker with skills. Varied, well-described, lemme-take-notes skills.)

If you are looking for a sensual romp with heart, a heroine who knows herself and a hero who knows what he wants, and a world that celebrates difference and the bonds of family, you will love The Kronic. Treat yourself.

3.5⭐

I was really enjoying this book, but the "drama" dragged. Draaaaagged! And the excuse for pushing him away didn't hold. Neurodivergent or not. It was immature. Just communicate! He's given you space before, but to completely toss him aside like that because you're overwhelmed by the false accusation and the intruder?? Neither was his doing by the way. 🙄🙄

So, the ending just took away from a book that I was enjoying. It's wasn't great. I felt like the spice (which was great) was the best part. The relationship felt underdeveloped and he was waaaaay more invested. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I feel like she got a pass because she's different and I don't like that. You can have boundaries while being invested in a relationship. Her holding back was just that. Her holding back because she was afraid. She was admitted to in the end. 😒😒

I'd love to see more neurodivergent characters! 🙌🏽 They need representation and it's a beautiful experience to bring to a story. I love that the author wrote this character. 💙💙

Be prepared to read it all in one sitting.

Im no good at reviews so this will be vague. but I have to gush a little about this book. Already being a fan of the series I was anxious to see how the next sisters story unfolded. You can’t not LOVE Miracle. The detail and background of the personalities and the locations and film industry careers paint the story in vivid living color. The struggles, love, loyalty and closeness of the families was familiar and warming and real. And last but not least the HEAT!!! I enjoyed the writing. One of my favorites so far this year. Can’t wait for the next one.

This is not a review I'm just posting the Dedication.

For all the kids who dance to the tune of the universe, who see the static, zips, swirls, and can taste colors all while defying gravity, and expectations I’m rooting for you and I love you. Especially to my sons, thank you for making me better. God made you perfect and without compare. I’m incredibly proud to be your mommy and you’re both my miracles./Users/kenyagoreebell/Downloads/I will always want to get lost in you. Always, Miracle.-2.png

Book 4 of the Mogul Series

What a sweet - but still sexy and hot - romance! Miracle’s confidence and determination, regardless of her neurodiversity, made her my kind of woman. Kris’ steadfastness and understanding was a modern day fairytale; except he didn’t need to or even try to save the day/damsel. (Well, he gallantly fought his urge to be her fixer.) I am grateful for the glossary of terms at the end of the book. I learned a few things about people with autism.

A Delightful Gem of a 📖😍

This gem is like a love letter to women of color on the Spectrum😍. The ✍ gifted us readers with a master class on how a 💯 alpha treats a delicate woman of color with tenderness, 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 passion and caring love😘. This is easily one of the most beautiful romance novels I have had the pleasure of reading🙌💃. I def. plan to read more of this author's 📚😆

I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review… and I enjoyed it! I loved, loved, LOVED the chemistry between Miracle & Kris aka ‘The Kronic’ and how their relationship developed (Kris couldn’t get enough of Miracle), the character development, and the sex scenes…. HOT!

I wanted to like this. I truly, truly did. We need more representation in romance, both racial and neurological. Unfortunately, it took me almost 4 months to read 250ish pages, so I definitely can’t rate this higher than a 3. The hero is so perfect that he’s boring. And Miracle, our heroine? Duller than watching paint dry. I could not find it in me to care about her life or her romance. I also thought the “problem” was dragged out for way too long.

I was hoping for another incredible book with neurodivergent leads like Helen Hoang’s The Kiss Quotient or Penny Reid’s Neanderthal Seeks Human , but this just fell flat.

Kronic amd Miracle

Another great installment to this series
Miracle and Kronic journey to their well deserved HEA was very interesting
The author did a great job with the issues facing people that are neurodivergent and relationships
While it can be different for each individual, Miracles overcame her fear and Kronic learned how important patience is when you love someone like Miracle.
Family showing up and their support made the difference and helped them to their HEA
You definitely will enjoy this book
Great job Kenya

Loved it

I was looking forward to reading Miracle’s story, I loved that it did not have the angst that book 1-3 had, I loved that Miracle autism was told as person who was a high achiever and was straight forward, which in turn help with reducing the hang ups her sisters had, so positive, even though this was a love story and Kris was fabulous-I loved Miracle’s quirky character! Great Read👍🏿

Kris was the total package all wrapped up in a bundle of sexiness. Beyond his physical description his good heart and kindness was apparent throughout the book. The patience and love he had for Miracle was admirable and he knew how to complement her strength and independence without stifling her. Their story was very touching.

Love Kris & Miracle!

I love this book so much. Kris is so nasty and I love it! He’s so caring, sweet and loving towards Miracle but he also had a bit of an edge to him. Miracle is hilarious with her sassy carefree attitude. Yes she’s on the autism spectrum but she doesn’t let that stop her from achieving her goals and living her best life. It’s definitely worth reading!

I LOVED Miracle and Kris’ story – the chemistry, the feels, and that they’re such a good fit. Kris’ love for Miracle shows from page one of this lovely story and you will enjoy every moment. It’s definitely a keeper and I’ll be reading it again. Kudos, Kenya!

Awarness

It's nice to through the eyes of someone that sees the world differently. You don't see a lot of 💘 stories for people on the spectrum. Miracle was beautifully talented, but had to prove herself at every turn. Ironic loved her from the beginning. Great novel.

So So Many Erotic Scenes

I enjoyed all the spicy scenes. That was the favorite part of this book. The 2nd favorite part was her agency over herself as a neurodivergent and her boyfriend catering to that.

Absolutely in love with Kris and Miracle’s story! These two were fire from the first time they met. The chemistry burned even harder as the book continued. Kris is a mega star and the sweetest man, Miracle is miss independent and knows exactly what she wants. Kris and Miracle started off as best friends and in taking their time they ended up in a romantic relationship. I love when the author takes us back into this world and I get to revisit all my favorite characters. I appreciate the author’s thorough detail to explaining Miracle’s way of how she processes every detail in her life with being on the autism spectrum. It was so beautifully written. Can’t wait till the next book.
