কাজী আনোয়ার হোসেন ১৯৩৬ খ্রিস্টাব্দের ১৯ জুলাই ঢাকায় জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তাঁর পুরো নাম কাজী শামসুদ্দিন আনোয়ার হোসেন। ডাক নাম 'নবাব'। তাঁর পিতা প্রখ্যাত বিজ্ঞানী, গণিতবিদ ও সাহিত্যিক কাজী মোতাহার হোসেন, মাতা সাজেদা খাতুন।
কাজী আনোয়ার হোসেন সেবা প্রকাশনীর কর্ণধার হিসাবে ষাটের দশকের মধ্যভাগে মাসুদ রানা নামক গুপ্তচর চরিত্রকে সৃষ্টি করেন। এর কিছু আগে কুয়াশা নামক আরেকটি জনপ্রিয় চরিত্র তার হাতেই জন্ম নিয়েছিলো। কাজী আনোয়ার হোসেন ছদ্মনাম হিসেবে বিদ্যুৎ মিত্র নাম ব্যবহার করে থাকেন।

Today, I post my first book review on Patreon, but with a grieving heart.
Once, there was a girl who liked Barbie and all Disney stories with the princes in shining armors. She liked colors; she loved makeup; she loved things cute and beautiful . But ...

Over times, that girl grew up, a little, if not much, and the world made her love everything black. Then she liked walking like boys, wearing no heels, and black lipstick became hot. Slurring like a sailor was hotter. She thought being a boy is stronger.

But something came along the way.

Something showed multiverse and perspective.

Something showed strength wasn't copyrighted by the ones with dicks.

Books was that something.

And it all began with the 'Tin Goyenda' (An MG detective-thriller series issued every month from a famous publishing house in Bangladesh--created by Qazi Anwar Hossain) It had three nerd boys meddling into things they're not supposed to meddle in. Sometimes, a nerd girl would come and join the group.

And finally, that all-black-wearing rebellious girl bumped into the KUASHA Series--an adult original scifi-thriller in a very contemporary world written by Qazi Anwar Hossain, published from the same house.

I'm sad to say the author died last week, on 19th Jan, 2022. Hence, this review post. I can't be any late posting it ...

So, that girl, who could've been a men-hater today, perhaps died somewhere around those times, somewhere along the paths when she met good men in good books before she met good men in real life. It was because of books that she learnt to love white and all other colors back again. It was because of books she learnt to love being who she is--a woman, fearless to do and wear whatever she wants.

She learned to give all men a chance to show who they are too; she learned to begin in a neutral position with anyone in the world--no matter a poet or a thief, no matter a failure or a winner, no matter a lair politician or a saint. You never block the ocean fearing the dirt, do you? She didn't either ...

So, today, I review this series, KUASHA, centered around a legendary hero who weakened that girl's heart, my heart. By the way, I named my protagonist 'Kusha' in my "The Machinist, Monk, and Mesmerizer" series. It, very obviously, has nothing to do with KUASHA. Absolutely not. Very definitely not.

Anyways ...

The series KUASHA was centered around Kuasha, of course, but he always came from the POV of Shohid--a private detective who was investigating a case. Eventually, the notorious criminal who he is looking for, turned out to be a vigilante scientist, a brilliant mind, a skilled martial artist, and also a Sarod player--one who could play the complex classical raags of the old south asia. And somehow Shohid and Kuasha were enemies trying to kill each other, but ended up being friends unknowingly. There were some buddylove moments around there where the buddies didn't know they were hell bent on killing each other. I swear, it was like Batman and Joker sitting together eating dinner and playing instruments, while not knowing who the other one is because they're both under cover, and they're having the deepest conversation that doesn't sound like mansplaining to each other (because they're trying to sound smart to the readers) at all.

Anyways, that was the start. All the volumes in the series were standalones, thriller-mission based. They were all in our contemporary real world. No magic, no fantasy or other world, nothing urban. Most times, the missions would come from Shohid's pov, giving Kuasha--my hero--less screentime, and I would so damn wait for those pages where Kuasha would appear. And then, I'd read those pages countless times ...

It was the mysteriousness, the build up of the Kuasha through other characters' lips, and the impossible tasks that he would keep doing ... all these made his character a legendary hero. He was a complete inhuman character who could do anything. He would keep researching for days without sleep; he would help people in the middle of his missions going beyond length; he had a whole army behind him--they're all people whom he helped in the past, and now they just wanted to serve him--somehow they wanted to help him even though he didn't ask them for it. He was a vigilante, a rogue, a treasured scientist whom even the government/police secretly admired. And of course, he played Sarod like none other. He would go to a mission in Africa, and he would take his sarod and play it while taking a break on a tree (or maybe while he's stuck on a tree or in a desert cave?). And in the middle of his mission he would attend the concert by his favorite sarod artist.

Do you see this? Are you not turned on yet?

I'm talking about an original scifi-thriller in classic old 1964, guys. I didn't finish reading all the books in the series, but I'm yet to find something sexist in those books. This was a legendary hero who never needed to joke about women to be a hero. This was a hero who helped Egyptian princesses, but never looked back. This was a hero whom even the mafia dons and crime lords would respect because he helped them one way or another. I'm telling you, this was a never-retired, scientist John Wick who also knew music, and he didn't have a dog; he had a gorilla--a pet gorilla, yes, (he saved the gorilla from something during a mission; that's another story), and Jim Gordon from Gotham is after John Wick because he experiments on humans. (So what the humans volunteered).

Are you not impressed yet?

He was a scientist without fund--I could say he was an indie scientist here. And to get fund, he would go into treasure-hunting missions--maybe raiding an ancient tomb in Egypt or a mysterious cave deep under water that holds pirated-treasures or a poisonous cave in the Himalayas where the priceless idol of an ancient goddess is hidden. He would find treasures; he would have loyal people who handles his business; he would manage funds for all his researches, and he would do all those 'while' building his robot army in his secret lab. Don't forget the sarod. He is always playing sarod while he does all that, I swear.

Most important, he was such a scary villain ... He would punish evil in the most absolute way. That was where his clash with the police and his enemy-buddy Shohid would happen. Did I mention he was a ventriloquist and hypnotist too?

Kuasha was practically inhuman for a scifi-thriller of our world where the rest of the people are just people. I often thought had it not been in 1964, perhaps, the author would've brought magic or fantasy element in it. The level of fangirling I did for this character, Kuasha ... I literally married this character during my teenage years. I signed a wedding contract where the vows were written, and my bestie gave the proxy of Kuasha. My two other besties signed as witnesses. I think I still have the photos of that contract somewhere.

I found many heroes after that, but none were as legend as Kuasha. I think, perhaps, it was because all the other heroes came from their close povs, and it felt like I know them? But Kuasha always stayed in a mystery. There was always a curtain between the readers and Kuasha. His actions, his activities used get revealed slowly from other people's pov, and then, suddenly he would appear, and readers would just grab those pages. There was never any scene of sexual intimacy in those books, and the writing was a bit classic for me, but I still read on.

He had human struggles too. His issues would center around his only living family, his sister, who married, guess who, Shohid--a trope in the old days. Also, he faced betrayals from Shohid several times--someone who he thought was his only friend. And then, he lost his leg during a mission in Africa--in a river full of alligators. Over the series, I heard from other readers, he turns into a cyborg slowly, and he becomes more and more villainous. A really engaging, slowburn character development, something that today's entertainment world can never afford to show. Today's world will never have the time nor budget not even the patience for it.

It was around those times more than 17 years ago that my fantasy world began. It was somewhere around there that my story world perhaps grew its seed around a starting character. Overtime, I knew I can't ever make a hero who is that perfect and inhuman, not even if they have prana, not even if I say they're ageless and 100-year-olds, not even if I use a fantasy-futuristic time where people have evolved, no.

I knew I couldn't make a male character as cool as Kuasha; they won't be acceptable in 2020, but perhaps, I could make a girl as cool as him, and maybe I could show how she becomes that? The journey of the golden fleece and what she does after she becomes that? Will she become a hero like Kuasha, or a villain, again, like Kuasha? And where will the world take her? No matter what she becomes can I make her watchable? Can she entertain in a way my legendary hero did? Can she even learn hypnosis? Ventriloquism? Can she eventually voice? Can she become someone who would obsessively run after the most mysterious thing in the universe? Can she do all those without blabbering two-cent dialogues.

But anyway, I also made the male heroes--the Monk and the Mesmerizer, who are protagonists in their own journey. One of them is the research obsessed archeological adventurer, and the other one is a scientist who gets distracted whenever someone needs a favor--both are musicians and one of them plays sarod. They both have character traits and dimensions that the hero whom they're inspired from--Kuasha--didn't have. 17+ years is a lot to flesh out characters and worlds if you imagine way too much, if you're the type who spaces out from conversation within five minutes, if you can start daydreaming no matter where you are.

Anyways, today, in memory of the creator of such a character, I write this post. Kuasha series was my first ever character inspiration, if not of the world or writing (it's writing is classic old Bengali). It taught me strength; it taught me how to make impossible possible; it taught me to never fear learning something new no matter how old I get; it taught me how to stop in front of Melody (a musical-instrument store) and stare at the only piece of Sarod they had. The author will always have my respect.

The painting I posted here is the first fantasy art I ever did (it's a 3 or 4 yo painting). And it was of the Monk; the blue beast is an animal in my story world that hasn't made an appearance yet in the books I published so far. But to be honest, half the time while painting this, I was thinking why I never did a fanart of Kuasha before. So, I added a sarod in it. The Monk in my story still didn't play sarod back then, when I painted it. I added the sarod in my stories after I painted this Monk in a shawl with a blue beast.

So, hats off to Qazi Anwar Hossain, the one who introduced the thriller world in Bangladesh.

কুয়াশা পড়া হয়েছিল মাত্র দুটো গল্প। এরপরে কেন যেন আর টানেনি। হয়ত তিন গোয়েন্দা, মাসুদ রানা, ওয়েস্টার্ন কিংবা অয়ন জিমির বইগুলোর সাথে কুয়াশা পাল্লা দিয়ে আমার মনকে টানতে পারেনি। হাতের কাছে পিডিএফ থাকলেও কেন যেন আর পড়ার আগ্রহ পাইনি। অনেকদিন পর আবারও কুয়াশার দেখা পাই মাসুদ রানার "সেই কুয়াশা" নামের একটা বইতে। তখনই বাঙালি এই প্রতিভাবান বিজ্ঞানীর ওপর নতুন করে আগ্রহ জন্মায়। সেবা প্রকাশনীর রিপ্রিন্ট হবার সাথে সাথেই সংগ্রহ করে পড়া শেষ করে ফেললাম।

গল্পগুলা ভালোই। সিরিজ হওয়ার কারণে সবগুলো গল্প ইন্টারলিঙ্কড, এই জিনিসটাই একটু সমস্যার। সবগুলো পড়তে হবে। দেখা যাক, ততদিন আগ্রহ আর থাকে কিনা। গল্পগুলো লেখার সময়কাল বিবেচনা করলে লেখা এবং কাহিনীবিন্যাস কিছুটা অপরিণত। সেদিকে আর না যাই। নস্টালজিয়ার সাথে মনের কষাকষি না হওয়াটাই সমীচীন।

৬৫ বছর পর এসে আমি আসলে এই গল্পগুলিতে কী রেটিং দিতে পারি? ঐসময় যদি আমি পড়তাম তাহলে কি আমার মনটা উড়ে যেত না? শহীদ আর কামালের গোয়েন্দাগিরি হয়ত ব্যাকডেটেড লাগবে, কিন্তু এর আবেদন রয়ে যাবে সবসময়।

শহীদ, একজন প্রাইভেট ডিটেকটিভ। বন্ধু ও সহকারী কামালকে নিয়েই এই বুদ্ধিমান গোয়েন্দা সলভ করে একের পর এক কেস। হঠাৎ শহরে ঘটতে লাগলো একের পর এক অদ্ভুত চুরি ও অপহরণ। অত্যাধুনিক প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহার করা এইসব অপরাধের পেছনে কে আছে, তার প্রকৃত উদ্দেশ্য কি তা নিয়ে দ্বিধায় পুলিশ। কেসটার তদন্তে নামে শহীদ আর কামাল।

তদন্তে নেমে বোঝা যায় সবকিছুর পেছনে আছে একজন শক্���িশালী, বুদ্ধিমান লোক, নাম কুয়াশা। নামের মতোই রহস্যময় সেই কুয়াশা, ঠিক যেন এক অদৃশ্য প্রতিমূর্তি, কখন, কোথায়, কীভাবে হানা দেবে তা অনুমান করা কঠিন। তার কাজের প্রকৃত উদ্দেশ্যও ভালো খারাপের মাঝামাঝি ধূসর নৈতিকতায়।

এই শক্তিশালী প্রতিপক্ষের সাথে কি হবে শহীদের, দ্বৈরথ না বন্ধুত্ব? তাদের সম্পর্ক মোড় নিবে কোথায়? বিপদজনক সব অভিযানে কি তারা পরস্পরের সঙ্গী হবে, না প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী? কুয়াশা, শহীদ আর কামালের এইসব অভিযান নিয়েই কাজী আনোয়ার হোসেনের জনপ্রিয় 'কুয়াশা' সিরিজ, যা কিনা বাংলা থ্রিলার সাহিত্যে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদান রেখেছে।

বহু দিন ধরে টু-রিড লিস্টে পরে আছে এই বইটা। পড়ার ইচ্ছা অনেকদিনের, বাংলা সাহিত্যে থ্রিলারকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করার পেছনে যার সবচেয়ে বেশী অবদান, সেই সেবা প্রকাশনীর কাজী আনোয়ার হোসেনের শুরুর দিককার জনপ্রিয় সিরিজ ছিল 'কুয়াশা'। মাসুদ রানার পাশাপাশি, অল্পস্বল্প কুয়াশার নামডাক শোনা যায়। এজন্য কুয়াশা সিরিজের প্রথম ভলিউমটা পড়া। নোভেলা সাইজের তিনটা গল্প রয়েছে এতে।

যাইহোক, কাজীদার মাসুদ রানা সিরিজের কয়েকটা বই পড়েছি। খুব বড় ভক্ত না হলেও, পড়তে ভালোই লাগে। বিশেষ করে সিরিজের প্রথম বই 'ধ্বংস পাহাড়', একটা ষাটের দশকের মৌলিক বাংলা থ্রিলার হিসেবে অসাধারণ। ইয়ান ফ্লেমিংয়ের জেমস বন্ডের বই থেকে অনুপ্রাণিত হলেও বন্ড সিরিজের সেরা বইগুলোর সাথে টক্কর দেওয়ার মতো ছিল সেটা।

'কুয়াশা' সিরিজ শুরু হয় তারও আগে, এই ভলিউমের গল্পগুলোও ষাটের দশকে প্রকাশিত। এই গল্পগুলো থ্রিলার হিসেবে এখন মারাত্মক ব্যাকডেটেড। প্রকাশকাল বিবেচনায়ও যে খুব ইউনিক বলবো তা না, কারণ ওই সময়কার স্বপনকুমারের পাল্প ফিকশন গল্পগুলো বা 'দস্যু বনহর' সিরিজের বইগুলোতে এই ধরণের গল্প অহরহ দেখা যায়। তবে 'কুয়াশা' উল্লেখিত বইগুলোর মতো আন্ডার ডেভেলপড নয়, তবে সেটা আহামরি কিছুও লাগছে না।

কুয়াশা চরিত্রটাকে যেরকম ভিজিলান্টি ভেবেছিলাম তেমন কিছু পেলাম না, তারচেয়ে তাকে অ্যাডভেঞ্চারার বেশী বলা যায়। গল্পে কিছু কল্পবৈজ্ঞানিক বিষয় রয়েছে, প্রকাশকাল বিবেচনায় সেটা প্রশংসার যোগ্য। তবে সঙ্গীতজ্ঞ চরিত্রদের মাধ্যমে গল্পে সঙ্গীতের পরিবেশনগুলো ভালো লেগেছে বেশ।

কাজীদার লেখনী তার স্বতন্ত্র ধরণের, আর সাবলীল। তবে তার পড়া অন্যান্য বইগুলো থেকে একটু নীরস ঠেকলো। আগের লেখা দেখে বোধহয়। তবে হ্যাঁ, তিনটি গল্পে ক্রমে লেখনীর উন্নতিটা বোঝা যায়। এক্সিকিশনও সেরকম। প্রথম গল্পটা থ্রিলার হিসেবে ওরকম জমে নি। দ্বিতীয় গল্পটা একটা অ্যাডভেঞ্চার থ্রিলার হিসেবে বেশ সুলিখিত ছিল বলতে হবে।

এই ভলিউমের তৃতীয় গল্পটা বেশ গতিশীলভাবে উপস্থাপন করতে পেরেছেন লেখক, যদিও গল্পের মান দূর্বল ছিল। সেইসাথে ক্লিফ হ্যাঙ্গারটাও খারাপ না। সবমিলিয়ে মোটামুটি লাগলো বইটা। গল্পের অতিনাটকীয়তা, অযৌক্তিক ব্যাপারগুলো বাদ দিলে, প্রকাশকাল বিবেচনায় খারাপ না। তবে এখন পড়ে খুব বেশী আহামরি তেমন কিছু মনে হয় নাই।

আজই প্রথম পড়লাম, কুয়াশা। যে সিরিজ ১৯৯২ সাল থেকে নিয়মিত প্রকাশ হয়ে আসছে আমি মাত্র আজই এবং মাত্র ১ টা বই পড়েছি?? সত্যিই আফসোস হচ্ছে।
পুরো বইটা আমি অত্যাধিক মুগ্ধতার সাথে পড়ে শেষ করেছি....
দারুণ অভিজ্ঞতা। :)

প্রথমেই বলতে হয় পিউর নস্টালজিয়া কাজ করেছে শুরু থেকে শেষ অবধি। কখনও ভাবিনি যে এত বছর পর নতুন মোড়োকে আবার পড়া হবে "কুয়াশা"। আমি গুটিকয়েক গল্প পড়েছিলাম ছোটবেলায়। তখনও ভালো লেগেছিল এখনও ভালো লাগলো। মূল পটভূমি দেশ স্বাধীনের আশেপাশের। সেই সময়কার ঢাকা এবং গ্রামাঞ্চলের রুপ, পারিপার্শ্বিকের বর্ণনা, সমাজ- সবকিছু মিলিয়ে এক অন্যরকম ভালো লাগা আবহাওয়ার সৃষ্টি হয়। শুধু রহস্যই নয়, এডভেঞ্চারেরও দেখা মিলবে এখানে। আবারো মন থেকে ধন্যবাদ জানাই প্রয়াত কাজী আনোয়ার হোসেনকে আমাদের জন্য কুয়াশা, তিন গোয়েন্দা, মাসুদ রানার মত স্মরণীয় চরিত্র ও গল্প সৃষ্টি করে রেখে যাওয়ার জন্য।

কুয়াশার অসংগতির কথা বলতে হলে প্রথমেই বলতে হয়- ১. গল্পের অধিকাংশেই ভাষা বেশ সুন্দর হলেও কিছু জায়গায় তা অনেকটা নীরস এবং আকর্ষণহীন। যে কারণে অনেক ক্ষেত্রে চলমান পরিস্থিতির সাথে নিজেকে যতটা সংযুক্ত করার কথা ততটা করতে পারি নি। ২. কুয়াশা চরিত্রটা অনেক বেশি 'মহামানব' লেগেছে আর এটা ঠিক পজিটিভ দিক নয়। অনেক জায়গায় তো রীতিমত অশরীরী কিংবা 'almost superhero' এর মত করে জ্ঞাত করা হয়েছে। এই হুট করে চলে আসছে, এই চলে যাচ্ছে, কীভাবে আসছে, ছোটখাটো কিছু রহস্য কীভাবে সমাধান করে ফেললো... এসব অস্পৃশ্য থেকে গেছে। ৩. কুয়াশা #৩ গল্পটা সবচেয়ে দুর্বল লেগেছে। একদম ওই সময়ের টিপিকাল বাংলা ও হিন্দি ছবির কাহিনীর মত ছিল। :(

কুয়াশা #১ ও কুয়াশা # ২ আসলেই ভাল লেগেছে । বিশেষ করে কুয়াশা #২ এর বর্ণনা পড়ার মত । কিন্ত কয়াশা #৩ অনেকটা বাংলা ছবির কাহিনী মনে হয়েছে।

কুয়াশার সাথে আমার পরিচয় মাসুদ রানা সিরিজে, 'সেই কুয়াশা' আর 'বাউন্ট্রি হান্টার্স' কাজিদা মাসুদ রানার সাথে পাগলাটে বাঙালি বিজ্ঞানী কুয়াশার সাথে পরিচয় করে দিয়েছিলেন। তখনই জানতে পারি কুয়াশা চরিত্রকে নিয়ে কাজিদার আলাদা একটা সিরিজ আছে। সেই সিরিজের প্রথম বইটা পড়া শুরু করলাম, যেখানে একের পর পাঁচটা গল্প স্থান পেয়েছে।


☘️ কুয়াশা ১  (১-৮৪ পৃষ্টা)
ঢাকায় শুরু হলো একের পর এক চুরি, অতি সাধারণ কোনো চুরি নয়। চোর জানালার শিক গলিয়ে বাসাতে ঢুকে নিয়ে গেছে টাকা, দামি গহনা আর সাথে নিয়ে গেছে বাড়ির কর্তাকে। একের পর এক চুরি আর মানুষের নিখোঁজের কোনো কূলকিনারা করতে না পেরে সাহায্য চাওয়া হলো শখের গোয়েন্দা শহীদ খানকে, যার সাথে যোগ দিলো বন্ধু কামাল।

এদিকে কয়েকদিন পরই ঢাকা থেকে দূরে গোয়ালন্দের স্টীমার ঘাটে একের পর লাশ ভেসে উঠতে শুরু করলো, লাশের চেহারা বিকৃত, চেনার কোনো উপায় নেই। আর হ্যাঁ, হার্ট গলে গেছে লাশগুলোর অথচ নেই কোনো ক্ষত বাইরে।

কুয়াশার প্রথম গল্পকে টানটান উত্তেজনাকর কোনো গল্প বলা যাবে না। অনেকটা গোয়েন্দা উপন্যাসের মতো। প্রথম থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত একদম হালকা ধাঁচে, গতিশীল লেখক গল্প বর্ণনা করেছেন। টুইস্ট অবশ্য আছে তবে সেটা বেশি চমকে যাবার মতো না। তাছাড়া কয়েকপাতা পড়েই অন্তত অন���ককিছুই আগে থেকে ধারণা করা যায়। তবে গল্পের একটা জায়গায় এসে কুয়াশার সাথেও পরিচয় হবে, সেই মানুষটাকে ভালো খারাপ দুই কাতারেই ফেলতে পারবেন। আর কামাল শহীদ চরিত্র দুটো ভালোই লাগবে।

সতেরো বছর আগে শহীদ আর কামালের বাবারা গিয়েছিলেন আফ্রিকার লিম্পোপো নদীতে কুমির শিকার করতে, আর ফিরে আসেনি তারা। শহীদরা খবর পেয়েছিলো কুমিরের আক্রমনে মারা গেছে তারা।

এরইমাঝে সেই আফ্রিকা থেকে এলো এক চিঠি, কুফয়া নামক এক ব্যক্তি ফেরত দিতে চায় তাদের বাবার টাকা। সেই টাকার জন্য ছুটলো দুই তরুন উদ্দেশ্য সাথে শিকারও করা যাবে বোঙ্কোরায়, সাথে সঙ্গী হলো মহুয়া আর গফুর।

আফ্রিকা পা দিতেই শুরু হলো একের পর এক আক্রমণ, চারপাশে আশংকাজনক ভাবে বেড়েছে কিছু সন্দেহজনক নিগ্রোদের আনাগোনা। সে রহস্যের সমাধানে সবাই ছুটলো আফ্রিকার গহীন জঙ্গলে, পিছনে এবং সামনে দুইদিক থেকেই আসছে শত্রু। এদিকে কে যেনো অদূরেই বাজাচ্ছে সারোদ, কি শ্রুতিমধুর সেই সুর!

এই গল্পটা প্রথম গল্পের চেয়ে গতিশীল, আফ্রিকার গহীন জঙ্গলের বিপদসংকুল পথের রোমাঞ্চকর অভিযানের সঙ্গী হয়ে গল্পটা উপভোগ করেছি চমৎকার ভাবে। পড়ে গেছি টানা, শেষটা জানার আগ্রহে। তবে এবারকার গল্পে কুয়াশা চরিত্রটা আড়াল হয়ে গেছে, অথচ সিরিজটার নামই কুয়াশা। অবশ্য চরিত্রটি আড়াল হলেও গল্পটা উপভোগ করেছি পুরোপুরি ভাবেই।


☘️ কুয়াশা ৩ (১৮২-২৩৯ পৃষ্ঠা)
জেবা ফারাহ নামী এক মিশরীয় নৃত্যশিল্পী, যে কি না খুন হলেন ঢাকার এক আভিজাত্য হোটেলে। সেই খুনের রহস্য উদঘাটনে ডাক পরলো শহীদ খানের। জেবা ফারাহর দেহরক্ষীর সাথে কথা বলেই জানা গেলো এক লোক রাতে দেখা করতে এসেছিলো জেবা ফারাহার সাথে কিন্তু বের হয়নি দরজা দিয়ে। জানা গেলো সেই খুনি। কিন্তু সেই ঘরে আরো উপস্থিতির প্রমাণ হলো এক লোক আর এক গরিলার। করা ওরা।

এদিকে শহরে আস্তানা ঘেরেছে ভয়ংকর দস্যু নেসার আহমেদ, শহরে কী যেনো খুঁজে বেড়াচ্ছে এক খোড়া লোক। এদিক খুনি ধরতে এসে শহীদ খান নিজেই হয়েছেন বন্দি। এমনই রহস্যঘেরা এক একটা সুতো এক হওয়ার অপেক্ষায় আছে।

এবারের গল্পটা ছোটো গতিশীল, সেই সাথে গল্প জুড়ে সরাসরি কুয়াশাকেও দেখা গিয়েছে। তবুও তার স্বল্প অবস্থান ঠিক আমাকে তৃপ্তি দিতে পারছে না। শহীদ, কামাল, কুয়াশা, মহুয়া চরিত্রগুলো কুয়াশা সিরিজ যতই পড়ছি ভালো লাগছে। কুয়াশা চরিত্রটাকে রহস্যঘেরা আড়ালে রেখে লেখক যেভাবে একের পর ছোটো ছোটো রহস্যের স্বাদ দিচ্ছেন তা ভালোই লাগছে।

কুয়াশা পাগলাটে বিজ্ঞানি, কিছুটা সুপারন্যাচারাল ক্ষমতা তার আছে। তবে গল্পগুলো পড়তে গিয়ে কেমন খাপছাড়া লাগলো, লেখক লেখার পেছনে যতটুক পরিশ্রম দরকার ছিল, ততটা করেনি, কেমন গা ছাড়া ভাব, প্রত্যেক টা গল্পের প্লট শুরুতে ভালো লাগলেও পরে ঠিক মতো আগাতে পারেনি।

কাজী আনোয়ার স্যার এর ক্লাশিক একটা বই।যেগুলো আস্তে আস্তে হারিয়ে যাচ্ছে।মেন চরিত্র আসলে ইউনিক তার ব্যাপারে কিছু বললে স্পয়লার।

কুয়াশা একজন এন্টিহিরো চরিত্র। এরকম একটা চরিত্র বাংলা সাহিত্যে প্রকাশ করার জন্য কাজীদার দূরদর্শিতার প্রশংসা করতেই হয়। ভালো লাগলো। আরো অল্প বয়সে পড়লে আরো ভালো লাগত।
