Samantha Elaine Davenport is just a regular girl, or at least that is what she thinks. Everyone she loves seems to die, lie or betray her. Her grandmother, Isabel Wardwell, is all she has left, besides the family estate hand, James Taylor and her friends from private boarding school, Josie Maine and Brian Conners.
Before Sam leaves for Spring Break, she attends a party with her best friends. During the party, an incident occurs with Brian that has her avoiding him like the plague, but feeling guilty about it.
She's been dreaming about a mystery man for the last several months and things have felt more real to her in her dreams, than real life. She wants her dreams to be real.
Not only that, but she meets a man that reminds her of the mystery man in her dreams, Damen Winthrop, when she returns to Wardwell Estate to celebrate her 18th birthday. Her attraction to him is undeniable, but she fights it tooth and nail. She's afraid because of what happened to her with Brian.
Strange things happen during her stay, and she knows everyone's keeping secrets and lying to her. Unbeknownst to Sam, she is a witch. The most powerful witch in the last seven generations.
Will she find her true path, or will love, change her destiny?
While there are a few grammatical errors, it was very easy to read. And honestly the errors aren't big enough to take away from the story so it didn't bother me.
I fell in love with these two and cannot wait to continue reading their story. The mystery surrounding our protagonist and the people in her life and her birthday really drew me in. I wanted to know more and I wanted to figure out why this was happening to her and why her birthday was so important.
These characters are great and the description is good. We get a feel for the environment in which these characters are interacting, which is always nice as environment tends to be rather important a lot of the time to thoughts and conversation especially if it's a new environment or a nostalgic one like our protagonist's grandmother's farm.
A great read and will definitely continue the series.
C.H. Reece has written a short book but it is a hot, hot, hot, spicy one!
Sam is getting ready to turn 18. She will be celebrating at her grandmother’s farm. While she is there, she meets a tall, dark, and handsome man that seems familiar.
Damen has waited a long time to be with Sam as she was promised to him many years ago. Strange things are happening and you don’t discover the answers. What secrets are being withheld from Sam? I’m quickly moving to book two for resolution.
This book has magic, mystery, suspense, spice, and did I say SPICE?
This story has great chemistry with the lead characters. There’s a good amount of spice and a story about witches, wolves and hope that a young witch coming into her powers will help them all. I really enjoyed it and will be moving on to book 2.
Love reading about witches and the matriarch! I really enjoy Sam and Damen and their budding relationship. Excellent twists throughout that leave me eager to read book 2. Bravo!
Absolutely blasted through this captivating SPICY quick read! Had to immediately grab the second book to find out what happens next --- Sam thinks she's just your average almost 18yr old gal dealing with normal young adult things -- like a guy friend that won't take no for an answer, and a best friend who's always there for her. She heads home to be with her grandma on a large family estate over spring break, right before her birthday. What seemed like "only dreams" turns out to be a heck of a lot closer to reality when she stumbles into the stable hand-- or is he? There's a lot more going on than heady dreams and heart pounding glances! Twists that you just don't see coming will keep you yearning for more! Did I mention the stable boy?! ...and something about water dripping down his chiseled...
Witch’s Link by C.H. Reece is the kind of book that grabs you by the soul and refuses to let go. From the very first page, I was completely immersed in Samantha Davenport’s world of magick, secrets, and sizzling fate. The blend of slow-burn romance and supernatural danger was perfection — every moment between Sam and Damen crackled with tension, heat, and destiny.
Reece’s writing is vivid and emotional, painting each scene with heart and intensity. I loved watching Sam grow from a confused teen into a powerful young witch learning to embrace her heritage. The twists kept me guessing, the betrayals hit hard, and that ending left me desperate for Book Two!
If you love fated mates, witchy lore, and stories that balance passion with peril, Witch Link is a must-read. C.H. Reece just gained a lifelong fan. 💫
I wasn’t a Romance reader, then I learned more about them and have read several. To me Romance equaled Harlequin.
Mrs. Reece’s story structure took some getting used to as I’ve never read a book with such structure. Though a TW about the spice was mentioned I was surprised, not at the spice but the way she wove it into the story.
Not sure I trust a couple of the MC’s and surprised that a character, mentioned in passing and in one scene hasn’t reappeared.
The way magic works in her world did catch my attention, though using ‘force’ isn’t my perception of good witches.
Samantha grows during the story, and it seems that politics even enters witch covens.
An enjoyable and entertaining story. I’ll be moving onto book #2 in a little bit.
The Opening scene was jaw dropping. I loved this book it was intriguing, an easy read and it was suspenseful. It is about the events leading up to Samantha’s 18 birthday when she is suppose to become matriarch of a coven only she doesn’t know. She dreams of a man who suppose to be her mate (which I wish I had lol). Her family protects and watched over her. This does have a cliff hanger so I’m excited to dive into Book 2. Cannot express how much I loved this book
I started this book at 8 pm and didn't put it down till I'd finished. I love the story of sam and Damen. Damen has waited a long time to get what has been promised. Sam can feel the pull is different from her friend she trusted and thought was special to her but wasn't. the twist and turns keep you reading till the end. such a well-written book. well done Author C.H. Reece.♥️
I really enjoyed this book. It was easy to read and had a lovely flow to it. The storyline had me wanting more, and I had the hardest time putting it down. The author has a way of describing sensory elements that make it feel like sitting in the middle of the action. What a pure delight. I loved it, and I think you will as well!
This book always kept me wanting to read more. The moment you figure one thing out you have to figure something else out. Like who is this guy? And who is this mystery person? What is her destiny? Let's just say I'm jumping head first into book 2 asap
The Witch's Link is an easy, great read. The first half of it was a little more erotica than plot but about halfway through the plot started to form together. Leaving me interested to see what will come in book two.
It was a great little book. It kept my attention and I finished it in one sitting which I never do. It ended so you want to get the next book in the series.
I really enjoyed this book!! Love the twists and turns in this book. This book was on fire the Characters Chemistry was hot!! I cant wait to read the next books!!

I had the opportunity to read Witch’s Link as a beta reader after publication, and I was immediately intrigued by its premise and potential. It’s a debut that leans into magic, mystery, and the emotional weight of self-discovery.
What I Loved: The concept hooked me right away—a witch who doesn’t realize she’s a witch until her life starts unraveling in secrets, strange dreams, and a little bit of danger. The world-building shows a lot of promise, with glimpses of a magical lineage, a mysterious estate, and the feeling that something powerful is waiting just beneath the surface. It’s got that cozy-meets-dark, boarding-school-mystery vibe that always wins me over.
What I Didn’t Love: There were a few moments where the pacing felt uneven and some plot threads couldve used a little more time to develop, but that’s often part of the magic of an early work finding its voice. The story has a lot of heart and imagination, and I know the author has been expanding and refining since my read-through—so I’m really excited to see how this world continues to grow.
Rating: I’m giving Witch’s Link a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It’s a debut full of charm, atmosphere, and potential, with an intriguing premise that leaves plenty of room for future growth and exploration.
Spice Level: I’d rate the spice 2½ out of 5 peppers — warm and steamy at moments, with a few on-page scenes that lean more sensual than graphic. The romance focuses on emotional connection rather than explicit detail, keeping the tone balanced and in line with the story’s magical roots.
Recommendation: If you love witchy stories with secret powers, eerie estates, and a main character discovering who she really is, this one is worth adding to your fall TBR. It’s a debut with heart and atmosphere—and the kind of story that could easily grow into something even bigger in future installments.
One Compelling Sentence: A witch who doesn’t yet know her power, a dream that feels too real, and a legacy full of secrets—Witch’s Link brews magic, mystery, and heart into one spellbinding debut.
Now this story was sooooo very good. I love how the connection of Samantha & Damen played out. He was such a patient man. I loved how he had such restraint but claimed her heart, even though he was willing to earn it. I can't rave enough about this story. You are such a supurb writer. Awesome.
