I kept turning the pages to see what happens next. I'm glad it worked out for Player and Cat. Some happiness in their messed up world.
You have traders I need them to find Toxic and give him what's coming to him. Are we going to hear from Bullseye again? Who actually shot Kitty was it someone from the club, anger traitor? Oh so many questions.
Player/Reginald and Catarina's story is consuming. This book, like the others will crush your heart. Catarina has been through horrible experiences and yet Player/Reggie still filled her heart. All of these characters are going crazy trying to wrap up this huge mess and it seems neverending.. They don't get one thing taken care of before the next mess rears it's nasty head. "She was the woman the heavens created for me. My one true love. My forever."
"Player" is nothing short of a thrilling ride that expertly continues the saga from the beloved Giovanni and the Golden Skulls series. Rebecca Joyce masterfully weaves a narrative filled with lost love and intricately buried family secrets that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The character development, particularly that of Player, is profound; as his long-held truths come to light, the tension builds, leaving readers anxious to see how he navigates the treacherous waters of trust within The Family he once fled.
The infusion of a religious cult, a secret society, and the envelopes of mafia intrigue add layers upon layers of complexity to the plot. The stakes are high as Player embarks on a relentless quest to reunite with his one true love, Catarina, who emerges as a formidable force in her own right. Our protagonists are pitted against a backdrop of deception and deceit that is more tangible than ever, making the message of “trust no one” resonate throughout the pages.
Rebecca Joyce's gripping storytelling pulls you into a world where loyalty and betrayal collide in the most unexpected ways. "Player" is not just a continuation of a story; it’s an emotional journey that grapples with the depths of love and the darkness that surrounds it. A must-read for fans of romantic suspense and intricate plot twists, this book will leave you yearning for more as the fight is far from over. Highly recommended!
This book is a continuation of the ongoing story of The Golden Skulls MC, the decades old vendetta against the club and its members is relentless as more secrets are revealed. Some of their enemies are dead but it’s not enough Kitty is dead and her husband (Bullseye) is in a coma
Player’s (/Reggie) past is brutally exposed as a shocking revelation comes to light, Catarina the only woman he’s ever loved or wanted. Four years ago he was forced to leave her behind. He thought she was safe with her family in Chicago but nothing could have been be further from the truth.
Now he’ll make them pay. Catarina is his entire world, as for Player himself, well his club brothers only saw what he wanted them to see. He’s going after what’s his now.
Just like the other books in the series this one is just as brutal as the others, full of twists, turns and heartbreaking secrets. If you want a profound love MC and Mafia style then this one fits the description.
Another amazing addition to the series. What Cat has been through is up there with Layla’s ordeal but she’s not tough like Layla. Player it turns out is not a player at all, he is still in love with Cat and she is in love with him, just one piece of the puzzle missing. Talking of puzzle, what’s going on with Rampage? Is Gadget ok ? What is Savage going to do ? Who shot Kitty ? Was it Toxic ? So many questions. I was waiting for the whistle at the funeral, it made me smile IYKYK
This is Reggie / Player and Catalina's story. This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, with found family, friendships, loyalty, lies, secrets, heartbreak, danger, suspense, intrigue, betrayal, trust, human trafficking, violence, redemption, revelations, determination, second chances, vengeance, undeniable chemistry, and unconditional love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, twisted, haunting, and unpredictable addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I loved Player (Reggie) and Catarina’s story - one of soul mates, but also immense pain.
As Rebecca sucks me further into this universe - I find myself increasingly invested in the lives of her characters.
There are still minor editing issues, I can’t not mention these in my review. But as I’ve said previously - I’d be willing to reread and re-rate my review once these have been addressed, because the premise of this series is pretty perfectly pitched.
The club was Players life for the past 4 years, but when prez needs help it forces Player to confront his past, and the one he left behind, Catarina. But in finding her again he learns the h*ll she's been through, and vows to protect her and what's his, no matter to what end. This story add to the drama and suspense of the series! Emotions are high love and loss are entwined and more secrets come to light that put everyone on high alert. A great addition to the series
Is all really well that ends well? That would be a big F-ing no if this series goes per usual. There is a rock in the pit of my stomach that tells me this is far from over.
Player got the girl, got the family and saved the day, but is it the end? Not by a long shot.
Rebecca Joyce is brilliant the way she wrote this series Golden Skulls MC. The couple in each book find love, the women suffer terribly and they git their HEA. But for this ready it's the mystery who is the head of all their issues. Each book is a puzzle piece and with each books more is revealed but more is added . brilliant
So happy player got his happy ending!! I was worried after bullseyes book. But this book & the love cat and player had for each other ... Oh my heart!!! 10 outta 10! If your like me and ran out of good mc romance books nd came across this series, READ IT!! its one of the best I've read n a while and tbh maybe one of the best!!!
This book was a good addition to this series. I felt it could have been a bit shorter and would have been better. It seemed to kind of repeat a lot of the same things. Still good.
This was another Great Book. So many twists and turns again. Have to keeps notes, for me to remember , for future books. A Must Read Book and series. Going to read his cousin book, next.
The man is a killing machine. His love for cat is the only thing keeping him sane. Looking for his son. Dealing with traitors. The club is in chaos. This is an exciting series.
