A read with tangible applications to use before starting law school. In the beginning, Alex Schimel tells readers on not to read further until you have started law school. However, as a 0L, I found that Schimel’s advice was imperative to know in order to begin 1L on the right footing. You may not know what torts are yet, but the book provides an excellent basis to understand these concepts. As you read, the text quite literally illustrates step-by-step into how you can demonstrate your knowledge in an exam setting. This will aid in your success during the exam and in school. Though Schimel’s title is generic, it is a quick and fantastic read that doesn’t need to take you the entire summer unlike Getting to Maybe. I highly recommend readers take notes.
Now go start your practice exams.
