Until murder strikes the small town and upends her life.
The victim is a woman known for chasing after married men. That means there’s a lot of suspects. It could be anyone, from the jilted wives in town, to the maid who was abused nonstop by the victim. Or maybe it’s the coven of dark witches that have been rumored to have descended on the town.
But when two more murders lead her good friend Julie being named a suspect by the newly arrived and very handsome and very single local sheriff – Tobias Arcadio, Dana knows she’s getting involved..
Catching the killer won’t be easy when she becomes a target. She’ll need her trusty Popo, as well as her best friend, Melissa, and her ghostly daughter, Gracie, to find the killer and bring him to justice before he strikes again.

This is a great start to the new series, I really enjoy reading this book, it's a fun and exciting book with unique and original story line, a page turner read, hard to put down book full of mystery, magic, paranormal, suspense, action, romance, with wonderful characters and adorable pit bull; the plot is filled with twists and turns that keeps you entertained as you try to figure out who the murderer is, I highly recommend this book to any paranormal cozy mystery fans. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

this is an unique combination of midlife humor, multi species side by side living and related dangers and benefits, and dramatic action- magical and otherwise.
not all dark and dangerous influences are paranormal- and sorting through the differences is a challenge for the authorities.
I absolutely love that Dana has a gasbag pittiful familiar! So on point with the bed hogging pup that does not want to share with any threatened boyfriend. At least PoPo is kind enough to offer to share his memory foam dog bed with any interlopers.
Harley trike riding and Harley shop owning Dana is a witchly character with chutzpah.
A colorful cast with charismatic ghosts, good guys and some dreadful and some sympathetic bad guys.
Looking forward to finding out what happens with the next challenges - especially with the dark witches and a certain sometimes aggravating figure.

What a fun story! Dana is a hog riding witch who doesn't drink alcohol! Popo is her chubby pit bull. Dana is a witch and she can understand Popo... her daughters ghost also hangs around. 3 murders happen back to back ad Dana is asked to look into it... she's know for solving puzzles. Someone doesn't want her to and weird accidents happen. At the same time a dark coven moves into town and lives on the outskirts of town. Fires happen, bad things begin to occur and everyone seems to think Dana knows something. Evidently this town has a lot of paranormal types living there - shifters, witches, a wizard and more. Even the new detective has a secret. Secrets are found out and things begin to snap into place... the ending is a bit sad but am looking forward to the next book!

Moving to a new town to get a fresh start, Dana is a 42 year old witch, divorced, her daughter died and is a ghost that sticks with her, has a pit bull familiar, and runs a Harley dealership. Her new best friend Melissa and the other members of the motorcycle club are a blessing to her. When multiple murders start to happen and her friend is a suspect, she is not going to just rest of her laurels - she is going to act and figure out what is happening. Multiple mysteries are going on and included is a rumor of a group of dark witches moving into the area and causing trouble with a painting and fire. So many possibilities for this series and I love the uniqueness of the characters and situations. Definitely one of my top favorites right now. Can not wait to read more of this group.

I greatly enjoyed this little mystery from my secret vampire. Dana owns a motorcycle shop and she enjoys riding one with her familiar pit bull . There was a writers convention in town and 3 authors ended up dead with the same markings on their hands. Dana was asked to look into these deaths as they all occured at the same hotel and thats not good for business. Dana gets threats to keep her nose out of it, even the investigator tells her to leave it alone. Danas daughter died of Leukemia when she was 15 but she is around as a ghost to help her mom. She discovers there are some bad witches that just started a coven and they practice black magic. so her daughter is trying to keep an eye on them. The medical examiner is a bear shifter and the lead investigator is a werewolf.. This will be an interesting series I would enjoy to continue with.
This is such a unique cast of characters, and I’m really liking the novel spin on witches and shifters. I love our mature heroine and her big baby of a pitty. I think he’s my favorite character in the whole story. I wasn’t completely caught off guard by the solution to the mystery because it shares a couple of elements with one of the few Christie mysteries I’ve read. (I’m leaving it that vague on purpose, so I don’t give out spoilers to anyone else who happens to have also read that particular book.) There are some threads that have been left open to be explored in future books and I’m as curious as a sack full of kittens to see where they’ll lead. Dana is a witch and owns a harley shop. Writers are getting murdered at the local inn. The owner asks Dana to help find the killer. Not only that but there is a cursed painting town that keeps burning down the owners homes. Between the two issues and the threats she is getting saying to back off the case she has her hands full. Can she figure out who the killer is and get a hold of the painting to put in safe place where it can do no harm without getting killed herself? It was a good read. I really enjoyed it.

Really like this first book in the series about Dana that is a Telekinetic Witch out west running a bike shop and has a pit bull, Popo as her familiar. Dana also has the ghost of her daughter that died at a very young age and she enjoys having Gracie around but her death was tragic due to illness. There is a very unexpected death in town and a few more happen; a friend, Vanessa of Dana's asks for her help when she is a suspect per the police and Dana starts going around asking questions with the help of Gracie & Popo.
So thrilled to see a mature face lead for a change. I enjoyed this first story in a new series. The plot was good and flowed easily. Kept you guessing to the mystery. Great characters that go well together with a bonus having a living pity.
