When a former roadie and bodyguard is mistaken for an escort by a gorgeous man, he’s intrigued, and willing to play along, but when he’s offered a thousand dollars for one night, Cooper starts to have second thoughts. Just what the hell will he have to do to earn that kind of money?
On the verge of changing his mind, Cooper finds himself further intrigued by the man’s reluctance to get down to details. Cautiously feeling him out, Cooper discovers a kink he never even knew he had, turning their hookup into an eye-opening experience, one he simply can’t stop fantasizing about long after their tryst is over.
When all his efforts to track the man down end in dismal failure, Cooper worries he’ll never find another man like Blake, only to discover him at the last place he expected; his office. Dating in the workplace is strictly forbidden, but apparently that won’t be a problem when Blake doesn’t even remember him.
Or does he?
This erotic gay workplace romance contains a former head banger with a sudden lust for bondage, an upper-crust MBA boss learning to proudly fly his freak flag, lots of story-based kink, exquisite restraints, some dirty-talking role-play, an intriguing BDSM club, and two totally hot guys falling in love while learning to trust. 87,000 words or 348 pages.
When he’s not plotting world domination, Bruce Rose is usually plotting gay romance novels. If he’s not writing hot man-on-man action, you might find him trying out new recipes, listening to old 80s rock, or putting his Star Wars action figures into provocative poses.

Vegas Bound was smutty, sweet, and entertaining. It’s based on one of my favorite tropes: a mistaken identity as an escort leads to an epic hook-up and our MCs meet again in the workplace.
What happened in Vegas didn’t stay in Vegas when the hot business exec, Blake, who propositioned Cooper, a former roadie, becomes his new boss in New York.
There’s a ton of sexual exploration as Blake, who is afraid and ashamed of exploring his submissive side, finds a willing partner in Cooper, who is also new to bdsm. The sex is steamy with lots of role play and dirty talk.
It’s refreshing how much Cooper and Blake act like adults and communicate with each other. There is no stupid miscommunication or dramatic breakup. They don’t pussyfoot about their emotions. They talk about their emotional baggage. Yet it never becomes schmaltzy.
And finally, you know those boring pages at the beginning of a book that we usually skip? Don’t! You must read the license notes, author’s note, and dedication. They’re absolutely hilarious!
Fans of Bruce Rose already know he writes some of the steamiest erotica in the biz, so it’s no surprise that his latest novel, Vegas Bound, is a toe-curling delight. My new favorite one-handed read, this book oughta be sold as an aphrodisiac!
In one of the hottest opening scenes of all time, a chance meeting (coupled with the allure of anonymity) creates the perfect occasion for two strangers to explore a new side of their sexuality. From the first tentative power exchange, Bruce Rose orchestrates an intimacy between the men which completely elevates this encounter. The chemistry between Cooper and Blake is explosive!
Bottom line though, this was just a hookup. When Cooper wakes alone after their night of exquisite passion, he’s shattered. Even without an emotional connection, he knows it will be tough to match the intensity and the eroticism of what he has shared with Blake. Eventually he gives up hope of re-creating it with another man. Last thing Cooper expects, a year later, is for Blake to show up as his new boss!
It looks like the ironclad no fraternization clause is going to make a future romance impossible, but Cooper’s not giving up that easily. It takes some doing to convince his sexy new boss that they can have the benefits without the friendship, and in the end Blake agrees to continue their sensual bedroom games.
Newbies on the bondage and Dom/sub scene, Cooper and Blake are anxious to explore their mutual interest in BDSM, and we’re along for the ride as these two dip their toes into this new world. The lighthearted humor Bruce Rose always brings to his stories flows throughout Vegas Bound, and while the sex scenes are supremely erotic, they’re also loving and playful.
We know from the outset that Cooper is smitten, and his end goal is to guide their relationship to progress beyond the bedroom. Cooper goes to great lengths to build up Blake’s confidence, and draw him out of his shell, which makes me so happy. The way this burly tough-guy willingly exposes his vulnerability is heartwarming.
Even though there’s sparking hot sex from the very first page, the actual romance is a lovely slow burn. Both men gradually let their walls down, share what’s in their hearts, and work together to create a deep and lasting connection. Vegas Bound is a perfect example of the best kind of happily ever after, and definitely one for the top of my re-read shelf!
Can't exactly pinpoint why, but I'm bored with this. The plot sounded intriguing and maybe it would get better later in the book. I think this is mostly an erotica, which I don't mind in the least, but the story around the kinky sex couldn't keep my interest so far. So I'm out.
This is the first time I have read anything by this author and I really enjoyed it. I particularly liked the fact that there was no engineered angst. So many books get to 80% in and then have to generate a break up or a conflict before you get the HEA. This wasn’t like that. Their relationship was solid from the start. The two main characters do have sad back stories but this did not directly impact on them as a couple. It was good to see a supportive relationship where they helped each other with this. The sexy times were seriously hot. They were done really well so that it didn’t feel dirty or smutty - just loving and supportive. I’ll definitely be reading more by this author.
What started as a kinky one night that neither character can forget, quickly becomes the most beautiful and languid love story after they reconnect when Blake shows up as Cooper's boss.
“How the hell did the apartment seem suddenly barren when Blake had only been there for twelve hours.”
Together they explore BDSM (BDSM lite if you’re a true enthusiast) and along the way they discover they don’t just enjoy exploring their fiery sexual chemistry. As they break down each other's walls they find themselves falling in love.
‘I didn’t mean to make you cry' ‘I’ve just never been anyone’s best thing’ ‘Well you’re mine’
I was so taken by this story that I couldn’t go to sleep until I finished it. It’s truly a gorgeous love story that I'll be thinking about for a long time to come.

Tapping out at 48%. The blurb did not lead me to believe that this was going to be such a BDSM-heavy book. I thought it was going to focus more on their initial meeting and them finding each other again. But nope, that's all done and gone by 11%. Then it's some relationship development but mostly it's exploring kinks and BDSM. And while I don't mind that to some degree, it doesn't turn my crank enough to stick around for another 52%. Well written and likable characters (although I totally don't get why Blake thought Cooper was an escort after spotting him swimming laps at the hotel swimming pool...??? and also, Cooper is a former head-banger? Wha....?), but overall just not my bag.
I love it when I take a chance on an author I haven't read before and the book surpasses my expectations.
The synopsis makes this sound like a kinkfest, and to a degree it is, but it's also sweet and romantic and relatively drama free. The MC's relationship opens them up to new experiences and new understandings of themselves.
It was exactly the type of book I needed right now. Single POV, high heat but this sometimes sex averse reader didn't skip any scenes as they all progressed the relationship and didn't seem like they were just there for kicks. It's definitely kinky but no S&M, and has a HEA.
Also, extra points for the very hopeful dedication page.
I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews and I have chosen to leave an honest review.
Super hot story, the first few chapters especially are hot enough to set my kindle on fire. But it evolved in a tender love story that tucked all my heartstrings. I love Bruce Rose's stories, and they are now available on Kindle Unlimited, so win-win.
Okay so let me start off by saying I have always had trouble with 'star ratings' because for a book to get 5 it would have to be perfect and I haven't really read anything 'perfect' so when I give a title 5 stars its more that I really enjoyed the book and how it read etc not that its 'perfect' so with that out of the way lets review!
The number 1 thing you need to know about this book is that it IS based in kink and its not the fluffy plastic bandage mainstream kind. Now before anyone jumps at me what I mean is this has talk of consent which is seriously hot, it covers alot of the basics you need to know if your trying it out and it deals with issues that come up when you are new and how to go about asking the questions you need to so that you and your partner are safe. I can hear the groans of disapproval from over here but calm your rage because this book still has some seriously hot spice rocking its plot. I just think its important to mention that it covers these things and it makes the reader more comfortable with the acts in the book.
I was hooked on this after the first chapter it was well written and funny. As a lover of all M/M and bdsm I was pleased to see a softer but still slightly more dangerous side of kink in a book. I was going 'oh no oh no no no nooooo' as we find out who the new hire is but damned if I wasn't all about it getting twisty. I like that the plot was kept more based around the characters relationships instead of the office they work in but I could have used a bit more information or a few 'days' of office setting to really get into it.
Overall I think this book is very well written and I can't wait to read more. I do wish we had gotten a few more chapters to really wrap up the story but maybe I just wanted to know what kind of things they were getting up to if you know what I mean *wink wink*
Highly recommend getting yourself a copy of this steamy book if you are into bdsm and romance.
Bruce Rose was a new to me author before this book, but an author I will be revisiting and paying attention to going forward.
Vegas Bound follows Cooper and Blake, two men who meet by chance in Vegas when Blake mistakes Cooper for an escort and Cooper just goes along with it because Blake is hot. The two have an immediate sexual chemistry and it practically lit my kindle up. They then go a year without seeing one another until Cooper is introduced to his new boss: Blake. From there, they continue to have a series of explosive encounters and get to know one another.
Both characters are well written and I liked them both a lot. I liked the internal struggles they both had and how nothing was easily solved - aside from an issue that came up at work. I liked that while they were both curious about BDSM and enjoyed restraint and a certain dynamic between them, when they explored the greater BDSM scene and a club, they weren't interested in going further than what they already had. Because not every BDSM dynamic is the same and it was great to see just casual BDSM in a book.
And let's talk their communication levels. The fact that Cooper valued communication so highly prevented the miscommunication issues that so many books are rife with. Instead, they learned how to communicate in a healthy way that made them almost nil. The few times they had communication issues, they showed a certain level of patience with one another that showed how strong and healthy their relationship actually was and how good for one another they were.
This book is very spicy - like melt your Kindle levels of spice - and is told in a third person that doesn't really take either character's POV. The MCs were likeable and the writing was amazing. I will be reading more of Bruce Rose in the future.
** ARC PROVIDED BY GRR AND THIS IS MY HONEST REVIEW **
So Steamy! This Hidden Relationship romance by Bruce Rose was a fantastic read. We first meet Blake and Cooper in a Vegas Hotel pool with Blake thinking Cooper is a RentBoy. Flash Forward 1 year and they meet again, this time as boss and employee. The pull between them is as strong as ever. As they embark on a relationship that breaks all the rules, you are pulled along for the hot ride. I found the author's writing style to be very upfront and straightforward, especially in his discussion of kink. I really liked how he wrote Cooper to be very vocal about wants and needs and how Cooper encouraged Blake to do the same. Both working towards what works best in their relationship. The intimate scenes were off the charts hot, but with so much emotional pull that you would do anything to have someone look at you the way Blake and Cooper look at each other. This was the first book by Bruce Rose that I have read, but will definitely go looking for others.
Vegas Bound is my first book by author Bruce Rose and I was intrigued right away by the blurb. And let me just say, this book is sexy sexy sexy. When the guys first meet, the anonymous nature of the hookup, combined with Blake thinking Cooper is a sex worker, allows them both to let go and take a chance on something new. Blake is big and muscular and his partners usually want him to top and be in control and all Blake wants is to let go and have someone else be in charge. He also loves the idea of being restrained, under someone else’s control, and being taken out of his mind by all the sexual torture. And while Cooper has never really tried any of that, he finds he loves the idea of driving Blake so crazy with need and gets fully on board. There is a lot of sex in this book. A lot.
A chance encounter, a one night stand and a somewhat anonymous hookup brings Cooper and Blake together for a night of passion. Both find out they have an interest in undiscovered passions. Meeting again and finding out they’ll be working together brings a whole new dynamic to the situation. Before too long the sparks can’t help but ignite, again. The amount of respect these two have for one another is admirable, the passion they discover is exciting and the secretive relationship that they form is seductive. Blake’s past is a sadness that is touching and heartbreaking. The bond these two create is strong and together they find love, passion and an encouraging HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
I really enjoyed this book! This book is overall a sweet romance with a nice HEA. While there are BDSM elements, it’s very “soft”-some light bondage with a little bit of domination. Even that ends up being sweet, when Cooper takes Blake to a club so he can ask for advice to make sure he doesn’t accidentally hurt Blake since Cooper’s never Dommed before. I don’t know if I was supposed to suspend disbelief or just chalk it up to New York being so big, but there is NO WAY they wouldn’t have been caught much earlier! Cooper lived 2 blocks from work! They went for walks together in the neighborhood! Blake was over there all the time! I thought that was a little silly but hey it worked with the storyline so whatever lol There were also several moment that just cracked me up, which I appreciate. Recommended!
This is the first book I have read by this author and I was thoroughly impressed. I was a little worried from the blub and some of the other reviews that this book was just going to be a kinky sexfest. While there was a lot of hot kinky sex, there was also an amazing storyline. The characters felt very real and relatable. I absolutely loved Cooper, and felt a kinship with Blake. There were a bunch of subplots running through the main storyline. They all served a purpose and I never felt that the book was getting bogged down by extra stuff just to fill pages. The book was well-paced, had lots of emotion and growth, plenty of heat, and a dash of angst. This is definitely an author I will be reading more of!
I received an ARC of this book from Gay Romance Reviews and this is my honest opinion.
I knew I was going to be a fan just based on beginning note and Dedication. This author obviously has a great sense of humor and great taste in men. 😊 I became a huge fan.. this was a perfect escape on a cold weekend. I loved this romance between Blake and Cooper. These guys were mature and honest… very thoughtful. No drama or manufactured conflict… natural relationship development. They built trust in one another and and slowly got to know each other…it all felt organic, nothing forced. The reader is treated to a journey where these guys meet, meet again, figure out the D/S “game” and fall in love. Super hot, verbal scenes, but sweet and romantic too. Highly recommended
Reading the Afterword at the back of the book, the author pointed out the two meanings of the title and was quite taken with this idea. Cooper and Blake had met and spent a night together in Vegas not knowing the names exchanged were their surnames. Fortunately they met again a year later and ooh boy. I found their relationship, treatment of each other and growing love so endearing, my heart wanted to melt from happiness. This is a new to me author and who I would like to hear more from. I received a copy from Gay Romance Review and this is my voluntary review.
Free your mind! Cooper and Blake met in a pool in Vegas. Blake thought Coop was a rent boy and Coop played along as a lark. They explored deep held desires and new opportunities. Their minds were freed and blown. When Coop woke up, Blake was gone. Coop, spend a long year enjoying the memory of Blake when Blake walks back into his life as his new boss. Only, Blake didn't appear to remember Coop. Company policy had a very strict no workplace fraternization, so what are they to do? There are a lot of decisions to make, a lot of choices to make. The author's story digs deep into how the characters get to know each other and acknowledge their personal truths. Good story! The author guides us into exploring, Coop and Blake's sexual adventure growth and acceptance. Blake and Cooper are absolutely likeable men. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sure, he likes to get his freak on with Blake, but he also cares about him. He listens to him. He supports him emotionally.
This story didn't have a lot of angst or drama, but it doesn't need it. The story of how the two guys meet and fall in love (and have oodles of kinky sex along the way) is enough.
I also liked the little things that ran through the story and played out in the end--like with the rings. I'm a sucker for things like that.
Again, great read, and I know this is one I'll read again.
I love when a book surprises me and boy did this one achieve that. Cooper and Blake were amazing together and they had some kink but by the synopsis I was expecting heavy BDSM but this was more of 2 guys falling in love with a less than vanilla sex life. The story line was great as was the pacing. The only thing I would have loved to know was what exactly Blake's dad did to cause him so much drama but not knowing that did not detract from the story.
Highly recommend for a heart felt and steamy read!
One of the best parts of being an ARC reader and blogger is being able to connect to book PR companies and being able to find new to me authors with amazing stories to tell that I might not have otherwise tapped into on my own... today's book, Vegas Bound, is one such book! Bruce Rose is a new to me author whose work I will now be stalking...
I really enjoyed this book a lot. Bruce Rose is a new to me author, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Blake & Cooper are fantastic characters, and I loved seeing their relationship develop. The story flowed well and kept me turning the pages. I'm excited to read more from this author.
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily gave my honest review.
Such a GOOD book! I absolutely loved this from the beginning to the end. I adored Cooper and his sweet and s*xy dominance. Blake’s shyness and surrender was intoxicating. This was a book with a LOT of sex and just enough going on in the background of daily life to keep me interested. I love the writing style of this author and I do hope there’s more to come.
I love the way this book combines explosive chemistry with a beautifully layered slow burn romance: if you’re looking for heat, it’s there from page one on, and it’s super well written. For me, however, it’s the way complex feelings and a relationship based as much on those feelings and their accompanying trust as on erotic compatibility develop over the course of the story that really makes it memorable. This book’s blend of heat, humor, and romance is hard to resist, and it’s definitely worth checking out.
*I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a very pleasant read. The BDSM is not hard core at all as our MC's carry on with a clandestine relationship because of a work related non-fraternization policy. They first meet cute in Las Vegas and then are shocked to find that they both work for the same company.
The writing is great, the humor and banter are terrific. I think my only complaint would be that it all went on too long. There was some angst (a good sign for me that I was fearful how all of this would work out) but just when you think something bad (or good) might happen, it doesn't and the story continues (with a few more steamy scenes). I think I would have liked the whole book better if things had been resolved just a little bit earlier. But overall I loved these guys and their story.
This book had me fooled!! I was expecting a mildly kinky throwaway vacation romance. That is NOT what I got. Yes, Blake and Cooper have a hot and sexy meet cute. But the real interesting part starts when they meet again. Blake is brought in as Cooper's boss and despite a no fraternizing rule the sparks fly. But while this story has some hot sex there is so much more! This author takes the time to allow the reader to get to know and care about these men. We get to see them encounter problems and work through them together. Plus this book has the best dedication that I have ever seen!
