Murrox
Everything had been lost in a single blast. Fellow warriors I'd known my whole life, taken before my very eyes including the one I had trusted the most. As I picked up the pieces of what was left of my clan, betrayal had begun to surface until I had no use for the crown I had been bequeathed.

Anger had become my only companion as I trusted no others. The truth lay in the ruins of my home. With a new threat looming on the horizon, I was resolute in my determination to go after it. Then my spirit tossed me a distraction of the most feminine variety. Why her? She was even more bitter than me.

Willow
Obsessed with finding a way off this death rock, there was absolutely nothing that could sway me from my goal--not even him. Especially not him! Definitely not the biggest, brooding a-hole on the planet. Like me, he had a reason to be pissed off, but that didn't mean I wanted to be stuck with him for eternity.

Then he goes and does something colossally stupid, and I couldn't help myself but follow.

**3/5 stars**

After the Clan Jurigon's tragedy that happened a few books back, Murrox, now Sia of his clan, starts to question everything about his previous leader Xennox, suspecting that he was keeping secrets that cost the loss of so many Valosian lives. While the City of Huren is being attacked by the Yulineons spaceships, Murrox decides to go against Jakkar's order to remain safely under the Dome and instead, heads towards the Jurigon's Mountain in search of the truth. Little does he know, Willow, an incredibly stubborn human woman, and possibly his Spirit Mate, sees him and decides to follow him on his journey...

Gosh, Willow was hard to like at first. It was hard to tell how she'd be in the previous books because the focus wasn't really on her. In the Silver Spice's epilogue, her true personality came out and she really seemed bitchy and whiny. She was very fixed on leaving Valose, held on the tiny possibility of finding her way back to Earth. As much as I can understand that she didn't want to adapt to her new circumstances, that she missed her family and her old life, I just didn't really like the way she acted towards others. She was very feisty, stubborn and even rude at times. I didn't think I would like her but by the half of the book, she demonstrated some growth and actually started to open up to Murrox. By the end of the story, it actually felt like she was a different person, accepting her situation and vowing to be a better person. Which is a plus to me, and what made me appreciate her a little bit more. A detail that I also liked was that she was said to be really tall, like an Amazon, a physical trait that isn't used often. I liked that in Murrox's eyes, she looked more Valosian than the other more frailed women and how he praised her on her curves and her tall frame.

Life was too short to be pissed off all the time.-Willow

As for Murrox, I think he was perfect. I have a thing for broody, possessive and protective heroes. His interactions with Willow were nice, although a bit repetitive due to her keeping him at a distance. I don't have much to say about him other than he didn't disappoint me.

Why had my spirit found it's compliment in hers? She was prickly and stubborn. Why couldn't she be gentle and sweet? I knew why even before I thought the question. She was just like me.-Murrox

Overall, their relationship was nice and there were a lot of tension between them. They bantered a bit but also spent a lot of time learning about each other and mostly learning to trust and get closer, which I liked. They were a bit similar in terms of personality, constantly butting heads or teasing. Both were stubborn and didn't listen to what was ordered from them.

Now, I had some issues with the main plot as it didn't feel like it was going anywhere for most of it. The answers they got at the end are obviously going to be helpful but the journey towards getting to the truth felt like it was going in circles. It felt a bit stagnant and repetitive. Some of the inner monologues, especially from Willow's perspective were redundant.

As always, little heads up, this series requires you to read every book in order as it follows the linear plot. I didn't rate this one very high as I didn't think the main story really got anywhere until the very end. It felt like nothing major happened in this one. Without being boring, it was a very passive storyline, mostly focused on Murrox and Willow's relationship.

I couldn’t stand willow

This book did not redeem her in my eyes at all. She didn’t change she just finally accepted reality. But the audacity to make any commentary about Layla and her behavior that’s pot calling kettle black.
Trashy behavior but it’s appropriate for her since I couldn’t stand her. I thought she was beneath Murrox with her behavior. He might have been prickly but she was just a childish brat.

This is book 8 in the series and with every book I’ve read so far I fall more in love with these Valosian males who love and protect the females with everything they have and then some. (Swoons here ). Willow was one of the many that was kidnapped by the evil Gretolics but crash landed on the planet Valose where many of her female friends have bonded with the warrior males and are very happy but Willow just wants to go home but every time she sees the sexy grumpy warrior she aches for him but if she bonds with Murrox she will never leave so it best to stay away from him at all costs. Murrox just wants to get back to his mountain home and find the answers to why his old SIA Xennox gave away the nutrone in the caves to the Gretolics who use its power to blow there mountain up and his clans men as well after there enemy the Yulineon came for them. But he stays in the dome city because his gorgeous mate is there and he hasn’t made a move on her because she wants to go home and he can understand how she feels but that doesn’t stop the ache in his chest for her but she must come to him willingly. Sick of waiting Murrox makes the decision to leave the dome and head to home for answers but he is seen sneaking by Willow and she follows him wondering what he is up to but once in the jungle she tracks him but something is tracking her and wants to eat her but she is saved by Murrox who is injured by the plant life and is left unconscious until his body can get rid of the poison it’s self but Willow never leaves is side and while he is so close to her she realises just how sexy muscle bound he is and her body wants him badly but she already new that and that’s why she stays away. Once he is awake he tells her where he is going and why and she offer to help but the closer they get the harder it is to fight fate. How does it all work out for our lost couple who are fighting what’s right in front of the them while fighting an enemy that wants to kill and eat them. There is so much more to this book and I’ve probably given away to much as it is but I do love this story and it’s characters and all the others in the series as well. This books is brilliant and a must read and I know you won’t be disappointed.

This book was written from a dual perspective, switching back-and-forth between the main male and female characters. Written in first person by Iona Strom, SILVER STORM is the 8th book in Warriors of Valose Saga, and follows the Valosian alien Sia Murrox of Clan Jurigon and his human mate Willow.

Valosians resembled elves in human folklore, with long white hair and pointed pronounced ears, but with fangs and camouflaged scales instead of skin.

I will no longer be giving detailed reviews on these books because it's a waste of my time. Every book is the same story told over and over again, just with different characters. The amount of crap you have to read through before you are blessed with an actual mating just keeps growing. And if you have the mental capacity to keep up with the war behind the scenes, you're doing better than most. Truth be told, the plot has become too convoluted, making it too confusing and difficult to follow at points. Sometimes, it feels like the author either changed her mind or completely forgot facts that had already been established in prior books. You know the story line is over complicated when the author responsible can't even keep up. 🤨🙄😕

I guess this series is worth the read if this genre of books is in your wheelhouse. It has the perfect balance of adventure and romance so long as you are able to follow the confusing plot line. I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series, mainly so I can finish it and move onto the next one. The first book or two in the series was okay, but all the ones that followed have been mediocre at best.

I am a huge fan of this series and, with each book, I am astounded... again... by the author's imagination.

Silver Storm is a fast paced, high intensity adventure from start to finish. I was as engrossed by plot as I was by the unfolding romance between Willow and Murrox. The tug of war and spirits is both hilariously funny and heartrendingly poignant.

Resolved to return to earth, Willow is determined not to let Murrox steal her heart. For his part, while Murrox has no mind to force Willow to stay, he's not about to give up easily.

Be prepared for surprises, and never relax your guard. Danger lurks around every corner... or poisonous bush... as the pair venture into the wilds of Valose on the hunt for the one thing which might, finally, give them the upper hand in the battle to save their planet.

I love, love, love this book. Ms Strom has brought the alien world of Valose to dazzlingly brilliant life, and each installment merely adds to the exquisitely delicious layers. Highly recommended!

This book has a great story line that draws you in. I absolutely love how Murrox knew that Willow was his, but he waited and supported her the whole way. The way they joke about how many times Willow had to be saved or vice versa was cute. Willow is definitely an interesting character, I enjoyed her and how she grew throughout the story. She was not willing to leave Murrox’s side no matter what was happening. As they spent time together, she realized he was right for her. The steam level was perfect. I also enjoyed the bits of humor. There is so much more to this book that helps move the whole story forward, you have to read it to find out. I highly recommend you give it a try. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Silver Storm is the perfect title to describe Murrox. He's intense, turbulent and angry as he has every right to be. Losing his clan and trusting someone who betrayed him is a hard pill to swallow. Not to mention, Willow, his spirit-mate, fighting him every step of the way...

Willow refuses to give up on her dream of going back home. While all of the other girls seem to be focused on their spirit mates, that's the last thing she wants. No matter how much her spirit calls to his, she refuses to bond with Murrox...

I highly recommend the Warriors of Valose to all sci-fi romance lovers out there. It's entertaining and exciting all rolled into one. And what's not to like about sexy silver men who know how to protect their mates.

Murrox and Willow are spirit mates and can't stand each other. Willow is bitter about everything, bitches constantly to anyone who will listen and demands to be taken back to Earth. Murrox was betrayed by his leader and his home was destroyed.
I really didn't want to like Willow as she was annoying in previous books but the connection between these two, due to the enemies to lovers vibe and empathy for each other's personal tragedy, made this a fun read. The story arc with the invading forces is also coming to a head.

What is up with the weirdly placed commas? And why say my eye’s when it should be my eyes? Punctuation.

And crocodile tears are not fat tears. Crocodile tears are FAKE tears. They are manipulative, insincere, fraudulent, psychopathic, fake tears.

There’s no such thing as big boned. See also: https://www.fitnessunderoath.com/big-....

“The farther away I was carried away…” 🙄

Thus the editing dearth continues apace.

Would be a five star read but for! Imaginative, well plotted. Unfortunately, the author needs to read more and it shows. I like these books and the carelessness ticks me off.

Love it

I love this series. This one is probably one of my favorites. I think that Murrox and Willow had more developed characters. The story itself of what is happening on the planet is definitely interesting. I find myself laughing out loud, having my jaw drop, and feeling all the feels with this series. I would highly recommend to anyone that loves happy endings and the sci-fi romance genre.

Worth the Wait

While it does kill me to have to wait to continue the story, it is always worth it. The rich history I feel connected to, the changing characters to “bond” with, following along in their fight. All of it has me addicted! Love this series and this one was my favorite because of Willow.

love love love

I so love this series. It is one of my all time favorites. Willow and Murrox are such the perfect couple. This series could go on forever and it would never get old. I really do hope that somewhere down the road Murrox gets to go home. That would be the ultimate ending for him. For willow just being happy is enough. Finally!!!!!

Great story

This was a roller-coaster of a story starting with a human and an alien who loved to snipe at each other. Is it love-to-hate or hate-to-love? The adventure continues with a rush to find out the truth. The only thing I did not like was the story line changed from an earlier book.

Capitulation Finally!

Wonders never cease! Willow finally turned from an angry abductee to a survivor looking towards her future. And Murrow was more patient than I would have expected. I loved the story, the world building and the characters.

Willow and Murrox

Murrox is from the mountain clan. Willow is constantly wanting to go back to earth. But with no long range space ship ,and the Yonlians wanting to kill all the humans it was hopeless. Finally Murrox gets her alone, and she realizes hoe much he cares for her.
