There was a time, Project Viper’s enigmatic drummer Graham O’Neal believed in Happily-Ever-Afters.

That belief went up in flames when his fiancée jilted him two weeks before the wedding.

Three years later, Graham’s okay and resolved to never be beaten by love again.

That resolve is challenged when stylist and unabashed fangirl Micah Redwood joins his band’s support team. Graham couldn’t care less for the new addition and her overly enthusiastic ways, but when Micah snaps him out of pre-show jitters then jumps to protect one of his bandmates from an aggressive “fan”, Graham is forced to take a second look.

Adventurous, kind, and patient Micah chips right through the ice around Graham’s heart. Where once he wasn’t enough, with Micah he feels like the center of the universe.

But just as Graham decides to give love a second chance, he discovers that Micah has a lot more to lose than he does by becoming the girl who restores his faith in happy endings (and himself).

---

For fans of love against all odds, recovering from heartbreak, learning to trust again, finding the one, and drummers, of course. Lighthearted, unpredictable, and wholesome.

unBEATable is a sweet rockstar romance. Heat level is PG-13 (kissing, mild sensuality).

Moody Graham and Drama Lama

I think this book was my favorite so far. Well, this and the first angsty book because I was in a mood. Graham felt just like the person I have been reading about in previous books. I was looking forward to his story and the drummer of the band did not disappoint. He's a moody dude, thrown off his game by Micah. His insecurities were easy to understand but I'm glad he finally got over them. This book is drama lama. Well, the whole series is. Sometimes I'm really just in the mood for that. I love this band who is family to each other. They look out for each other, and yes, fight sometimes, but always come back to right pretty fast. This is a YA book. Nothing other than kissing.

Plot- This is a fun romance between an internationally renowned rockstar and the band’s female stylist. Their romance revolves around non communication and mixed messages (all from the FMC) and his trauma from practically being left at the altar by his fiancé 3 years ago.

Characters- Graham is likable. Unfortunately, as is the norm with this author, he took all the blame for their bumpy relationship. The FMC, Micah, per usual with this author, was painted as the victim but I think she was more at fault and was never held to account for refusing to confide in him.
Although she was a fine FMC, I felt like she was a little abrasive, tbh. I didn’t connect with her.

Writing Great writing! Love how the MMC loves drumming and feels the music in his bones. That was depicted very well.
This author excels at writing angst, which is what keeps me going. So good!
…But I didn’t feel enough of their connection or relationship development. They begin to get to know each other and then suddenly they are all-in and I feel like I missed all the steps that connected the beginning to the end. I feel like I knew them individually as characters but I didn’t feel much of a connection between them.

Romance- Not the best. See above. Ends in a HFN. Chemistry was low.
They do not communicate well at all. Even in casual conversations or general banter, which is helpful for getting to know each other. They would even drive for hours without saying anything because Graham isn’t a talker and apparently she wasn’t either. It seemed weird for a new couple who are still in the “honeymoon” period of their relationship. Didn’t help with building chemistry or relationship development, either.

Content-

Language- no swearing
Spice- short chaste kisses
Substance abuse- none. I appreciate that about this author. These are music celebrities who value a clean, healthy and responsible lifestyle.
Cover- I like the design but the model doesn’t fit what I imagine Graham looking like
POV- dual POV
Cliffhanger- no, this is a standalone. Best read in order since main characters from previous books are already together.
Format- - KU ebook

How I rated the series-

Book 1, “Unreasonable” (Marshall)- 4 stars
Book 2, “Unbreakable” (CJ)- 4 stars
Book 3, “Unsustainable” (Shane)- 3.5 stars
Book 4, “Unbeatable” (Graham)- 2.5 stars
Book 5, “Unspeakable” (Zach)- 2 .5 stars

The Viper Project Rock band is still as popular as ever. This installment delves into the life of their drummer.

Graham, the drummer of the band is a quiet member who doesn't say a lot. He has been hurt in the past, and doesn't trust easily, especially women. Micah is their new stylist, but there are conditions attached to her contract. No fraternising with the celebrities. She bumps, into Graham, literally, at a party and in the process causes an accident to a member of another band. She accompanies them to the hospital, and here begins a tentative relationship. It's hard to communicate with Graham as his responses are non descript. Of course Micah takes it personally and thinks that Graham doesn't like her. The thing is that they both have insecurities. These insecurities lead to misunderstandings and miscommunications. There is a definite attraction between them, but their insecurities lead them to believe that nothing can come out of it. On top of that Mariella and her conditions doesn't help. On the occasions that Graham and Micah throw cautions to the wind, she is always aware, and this does not help Micah's case. Despite all this, they start a relationship which looks promising until Mariella decides to pull out the big guns. The thing is that Graham isn't aware of these conditions and when Micah is put on the h spot, she does what she thinks is the right thing, and that leads to more misunderstandings and heartbreaks. When Graham's ex decides to show up, he comes to his senses, and realises that he has been a little too harsh on Micah. Is it too late or can they settle the results of their hasty reactions?

I like how Graham pulls himself together and tackles the issues. Micah and him make a great couple. The band members are as lovable as ever, except for when Shane and Graham have their brotherly differences. Micah's family expect too much, but in the end it all works out. This is a sweet and endearing romance that shows a different side of the music industry and I would recommend to readers of all ages. A very enjoyable read with some angst and loads of love without any explicit scenes, but captures the feelings just as well.

I received an eARC from BookSirens and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

I loved Micah from the start. She was a strong-willed, determined and driven girl, with personal dreams and ambitions, and I found it totally relatable how misunderstood she was by her family. The weight of expectations, whether from family or self-imposed, would do that to you.

I also loved her fighting to forge her own path, and seeing her find her footing with Graham.

Speaking of Graham… If I found Micah's struggles relatable and easy to see myself in, Graham's arc was that, tenfold. I did love seeing him slowly daring to open himself up- to Micah and, in a way, to the world. I also found his friendship with Jelly adorable (it reminded me of the dynamic between me and my best friend, so it was a little extra special for me in that way too). I may be biased (drummers are, after all, a weakness I have… But don't tell the supervillains in my city), but this one became my favorite of the series the fastest. I knew from the start that I'd love, love, love it. And when it comes to things I enjoy, I'm hardly ever wrong!

Bravo, team.

P.S.: I said it before, but if after this one there isn't a series about ACD, I'm going to be very, very sad.

This rockstar romance is a clean contemporary story about a reclusive drummer and shy stylist. Micah and Graham have enjoyable conversations with conflicting personalities. I would say this has some new adult romance as both are still trying to find their way in life, especially Micah. The story itself is fast-paced and filled with sweet moments and strength, truth and happiness. I loved the drum contest indeed a memorable scene. That is probably my favorite moment in the story. This was a really lighthearted story with light emotional feelings. The chaos in this book only lasted for a short time. I do look forward to reading more in this series.

Micah is a new stylist for Project Viper and a few other bands on the records label. She is smart but shy. She accidentally runs into Graham at a record party and seems to get on with Charlie okay.

Graham has an interesting relationship with ACD’s drummer Jelly. Graham is a reclusive, introverted rockstar. He is a caring guy under his aloof demeanor. But Jelly really pushed him out of his comfort zone.

Micah seems to have issues. She has some anxiety and has made some not-so-intelligent choices in the past. Her family is supportive but also critical. Works seem to pull them together, and Micah struggles to stay professional. Not sure what Graham is thinking as he is more stoic.

I don’t like where this goes. I’m pissed at what happens, but not necessarily for her and Graham. However, I admire her at the same time for not running to her wealthy boyfriend to fix her problems instead fixing them herself. Their budding romance is cute, and all but the miscommunication and the job issues are what had me livid and burning through the pages.

This couple doesn’t get happily ever after, but they do get happy for now ending. But I really wanted to see what the upcoming tour looked like for them. I love that this basically picks up where the other books leave, and we still get to see couples we have read before, like Juliette and Shane.

After being rejected by his fiancé 3 years ago, Graham decided to stay as far away from love as possible. He doesn’t need his heart being broken again. He didn’t expect to meet Micah though. The new stylist is nothing like he would expect. Their first encounter is striking and then she helps him overcome pre-show jitters and even gets punched to protect his bandmate. So ok… maybe she deserves a little interest. And maybe the more he gets to know her, the more he starts to like her… A very dangerous game, which is as dangerous for Micah it would seem.

If I had to give a name to this review, it would be: That time Graham made me look like an old wrinkled potato. But, as someone really clever said to me, at least I was a very clean old wrinkled potato. The point is… I thought it was a good idea to read this book in my bath to relax, but I couldn’t stop reading and kept going for one more chapter… and that’s how I came out as an old wrinkled potato. So, my advice, if you have no self-control like me, stay away from your bath while reading this book.

Graham is so fascinating to me, it’s been 3 books that I tell myself: I WANT TO GET IN HIS HEAD SO BAD.

And here we are, finally in his head, and it’s fascinating. I’m quite shy but I have A LOT going on in my head (maybe that’s why I get weekly migraines) and maybe that’s why I’m kind of obsessed with Graham, cause I quite relate to his inner thoughts. I for sure thought Marshall would be my favourite out of the 5 guys… but damn… Graham might be the one. He was always so discrete, in the background, but when you get to know him, he’s so freakin’ lovable, oh and he has such a cute relationship with Jelly, I loved getting to see them more together.

I’m a sucker for the “get to know each other over texts” haha (maybe cause phone calls and IRL interactions are the death of me!) but I enjoyed the texting parts so much, it was cute that Micah and Graham bounded like this.

I also love the fact that both MC stood for themselves and overcame everything on their own! I was so proud of them, of their progress and evolution and also how much they were comprehensive with each other.

This series made me realize that 1. I miss seeing live bands and 2. I don’t always have a favourite in the bands I like but when I do it’s either the singer or…. THE DRUMMER and I’M OBSESSED hahaha I mean, Christoph Schneider?

Kang Minhyuk?

Right?! RIGHT? (Tell me I’m not alone here) And now I can add Graham (ok he’s fictional but let me be happy)!

Anyways, this book was amazing. And if I'm being honest I'm so sad I have only one book left to read. I'm going to go eat chocolate to help recover from that sad news. Ok. Bye.

I rounded up a tiny bit because I just love all these characters that keep popping up in each other’s lives and I’m in love with this band. I read a band series by Julie Spencer years ago that I totally enjoyed so maybe I have a thing for musician books. I really am a Project Viper fan and getting to know Graham was so fun. He’s broody and sweet and insecure. I liked that he acted very normal and slowly let us see who he really wanted to be. The struggle is real folks. Micah is a great character and seemed to see people clearly even with stars in her eyes. I’m kinda sad the next book is out because that means we will be done with this series. Maybe write one in ACD? Please? I’m on the bandwagon so let’s rock! I did receive an ARC of this book and am leaving my review because everyone needs some Project Viper in their lives!

Graham is the quiet, unassuming, dependable drummer that stays in the background. But there’s way more happening behind his calm facade. Micah is full throttle and a “fangirl” and in love with her new job. This story is deep, emotional and shows that there’s more to these characters. There’s friction and expectations between family members but they resolve the issues and become stronger. Not a full HEA as the other books but a HFN with hope. I’m hoping that the series continues until the whole band has found their other half.

A band, a drummer, and a fan girl
She is a stylist, and works for the label. And everybody loves her because she cares — not as a fan but as a friend. She gets to know them — and when she falls in love . . . . well she signed a contract . . . this is a great love story. ENJOY

Unbeatable!

I've loved all the books I've read by Arya! This one was no exception. All the guys in the band are adorable and flawed and imperfectly perfect. Although each book is a standalone, I suggest reading them in order. Can't wait for the next one!

Lots of angst

The stylist will get fired if she goes on a date with any of the talent. The quiet drummer is broken by a past relationship. Communication is needed or disaster will be the only outcome. The drummer speaks . The stylist sticks up for herself. Communication happens. Everything works out.

This was such a good story. Loved that it didn't go over the top like most rockstar stories do. I liked the characters and even felt bad for the one we're supposed to hate. Good storyline, likeable characters and room for the story to continue growing with other characters.

Micah Redwood has been the new stylist for Project Viper’s record label just a couple of months. Graham O’Neal is Project Viper’s drummer. Graham is one of the last people Micah has to meet. They bump into each other at a bar and their mishap causes an injury to Graham’s friend and fellow drummer, Jelly. Graham was abandoned by his previous girlfriend and he doesn’t trust people except his bandmates, Jelly, and her bandmates. Micah was warned not to get involved with any of the band or she could lose her job. Micah isn’t able to keep a job for long due to some issues she deals with. Jelly thinks Micah and Graham would be perfect for each other. Micah is happiness and Graham is introverted. They get to know each other and develop feelings for each other. I enjoyed their slow burn. I loved how they supported each other. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

I love how each book in the series is stand alone, but you still get to see the other characters from previous books. Graham really is unbeatable and I loved how each layer was uncovered so you could see who he is and what makes him tick. I'm also a fan of Micah, she is strong and totally capable of her job. I was a bit frustrated with some aspects of her family...but hey, each story needs conflict and substance. I enjoyed the read and am excited to continue on with the band!

I am really enjoying this sweet rockstar series! Graham, the talented drummer, is the hero of this book, and I thought his story was a good one!

Graham is grumpy and an extreme introvert, while Micah is a stylist who wants more freedom. I enjoyed getting to know Graham better and to learn about some of the things from his past that shaped his present, and I especially enjoyed seeing him open up as he got to know Micah better. I liked Micah’s character development as she reached for independence and learned more about herself and what she wanted.

I did wish that the two of them would communicate better about certain things, but I also felt like it was true to their characters for them to respond the way they did. And I enjoyed seeing how their relationship developed!

Found family is a trope I love, and it was great to spend time with the members of Project Viper again! I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
