This is not a typical book I would read so I'm glad I was able to pick the e-arc up from NetGalley.
I did like parts such as the acronym: CLEANSE and the tone used throughout the book. Even though this is not an audio book, it read like one in the sense that I could hear the soothing tone of the writer as she was going over the exercises. I think the delivery of the content needs to be more versatile. This is a dense book with too much reading. It could use some photos and be more conversational with anecdotes to break up the constant text. I can see most people checking out at the 5% mark. After a while, it becomes dull and monotone. This book follows in a similar vein of Youtube workout and detox videos--not only the chapters on social media.
Emotional detox really dives into how to cleanse every aspect of life from ourselves, to relationships around us!
As someone dealing with anxiety and finding ways to cleanse I like the methods described in the book. There were a lot described and I definitely will use this book as a resource when needed.
This book was okay. I didn't find it as helpful as I hoped and the writing wasn't very engaging. I think some may benefit more from it than me and may resonate with the author and her writing a bit more. Though I wasn't crazy about the writing, some of the advice was helpful and interesting.

There are a lot of exercises in this book, which is great. There's an emotional detox for just about every situation. It feels a bit silly at first to sit there humming and speaking affirmations to myself, but just taking the time to acknowledge my feelings is so helpful in regulating where I am. I will definitely be referring back to certain detoxes as needed.
Enjoyed this book and all the simple practices it includes. Read thru once and marked passages that caught my attention. I go back and reread when having a rough day or just seeking some peace it the soul. Nicely written and flows easily for a fast read. I appreciate this book and am keeping it in my collection for personal use and to share with those I love. I won this book in a goodreads giveaway thank you!
I loved how practical and accessible this book was! The book covers a huge range of emotions and situations—from being frustrated at work to feeling homesick—and then gives you a simple process to help you recognize and move through it. This is a great tool to have on days when you're stuck in a feeling and can't seem to get past it!
Wow! Some amazingly easy ways to calm down your emotions in general and in lots of specific instances. Quick resets to bring you out of your monkey mind. (Or overwhelm). If your emotions sometimes take over your mind I would definitely recommend reading this book.

An excellent book for cleansing yourself and feeling better when upset. It's many subjects are comprehensive and useful. Read this comforting book and then keep it by your bedstand for when you feel low.
