You know how when there's this thing and everyone's like, "yo there's this thing and it's thrilling and horrific and totally fucked up!" and then you're all, "pshh nah dude, I'm so tough and so cool and so desensitized to horror at this point that nothing can shock me. Whatever I'm about to dive into can't be that bad." and then you read it and it's like... oh, it was that bad. Would I recommend this? Uh... probably not, it's a thrilling and scary page-turner, but I got to warn you, it's totally fucked up. I feel sick, yet, can't stop reading so~oo...
Even better (forgive me for even using that word lol) on a reread with @catty axolotl, @Linn and @Nel 👀
This shit is seriously disturbing...and disturbingly addicting. I need more. Nothing new here for the fans of true crime, but it's still twisted and brilliantly nerve-wracking. And the art is top-notch ❤️
Thinking of doing a Why I Love Killing Stalking video because I can’t even put into words how much I love every single damn thing about this story and these characters. Seeing an extreme horror title get nominated in the Goodreads choice awards honestly means so much to me. 🥹
I'm not continuing this shit. It's not even the gore/explicit-ness of it that's putting me off but it's very repetitive and seems boring. And on top of that, since I have no sympathy for Yoon Bum, I don't really care what happens to him so if somebody wants to spoil it for me, please do! I read till chapter 21, if that helps with context.
Feeling the need to bathe in sulfuric acid after reading this. Could’ve easily ranked this 1 star bc of how fcked it is or 5 stars bc it’s so messed up that I couldn’t put it down.
The opposite of Heartstopper. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth despite some good moments. I would continue the series if I had it. Not sure if I'm actually going to buy the second volume.
Wow, just like I’m speechless 😶 this was freaking awesome ! Scary, spicy, gruesome, but also the storyline leaves you yearning for the next volume. I NEEED to know what happens next. Definitely a page turner—thriller about a young man who becomes obsessed with another young man but gets entangled with his obsession’s deadly dark secret.
I’m pretty sure I had a review here before but now it’s gone lmao yikes but I think it went somewhere along the lines of omg this is a psychological thriller and actually horrifying!! It’s great if you think of it like that and not a romance,??
Ok, what the fuck did I just read !? I genuinely think this is the most fucked-up book ever. That’s all I’m going to say. I feel like I’m going to hell, but I might have to get volume 2.. Reading this whilst using public transport was an interesting experience.. 😅🤪
This is horror. Not the weird Junji Ito kind, but real horror, both psychological and physical and it's in full color. Trigger warnings for a lot of things, including torture and mutilation, so read at your own risk. I don't think I've ever read anything quite like it, but if I'd had to compare it with something it would be Miike Takashi's Audition.
The anime-style art is really good and gets better with each chapter. The digital art translates well to prin. The page layouts and the pacing are perfect, unlike sone other online web comics that get adapted for print. In fact, it's a real page turner. I will be reading the next chapters online as I'm curious how it compares in terms of reading experience.
This is my fifth time reading this manhwa & certainly not my last time. I’m captivated by its rawness, by its angst and its beauty. It’s so insanely good. Nothing will ever compare. Although: wouldn’t recommend if you’re not good with gore and heavy trigger warnings. I am so, so happy we are finally getting physical copies of these beauties in English. (Tried reading them in German when they came out but I suppose everything is cringe in my native language) Anyway, this story changed me as a person. I would give everything to read it for the first time again.
The violence doesn't really bother me I'm just bored lol. Wish the characters had more depth than they did...this could've been really compelling if they were, well, compelling.
Read some of this back in the day when was just a webcomic in the day.
This is a brutal look into a deranged sicko who cuts people up and kills them. And a guy who falls for this killer by stalking him only to get kidnapped and tortured by this Psycho. It's weird, has nasty kills, and some gay sex thrown in. This isn't for the faint of heart but it is a good horror book.
I could not stop smiling while reading this. I can't believe I can finally hold it in my hands. A physical English edition!!! Ah craziness! And I was finally able to score an appointment with Nicole Willingham to get these boys tattooed on me last month. :') So happy.
This is my first time rereading and wow it's so wild to see all the things set up before you know what you know. I actually didn't mean to reread it as soon as I opened my package, but I opened it and started flipping through and by the time I realized it I had read the whole thing lol. I can't wait for all the volumes to come out.
Bum is a scrawny dude, who has a crush on Sangwoo, a popular guy from his college. Bum's feelings for Sangwoo are so intense that it becomes an obsession. One day Bum breaks into his home and what he finds there makes him realize that Sangwoo is not the person he thought he was. His dreams quickly become a nightmare. This first volume ends with chapter 10, which is after Bum crosses the line and when they play the card game with the guy from the club.
This series is obviously not for everyone. Sangwoo is a horrible person and it's graphic and terrifying. There's homophobia, the r-word, stalking, murder, sexual assault, Stockholm syndrome, incest, emotional and physical abuse etc, etc. Triggers for everything, but it's just such an interesting story. I love the art style and the way the story builds up. It gives me this feeling of terror and exhilaration when I read it and I love it.
I DO NOT CONDONE THIS BOOK and I am so so thankful I did not read this when I was 15 and impressionable and violently obsessed with Hannibal/Will Graham.
