Eternia was almost back to full strength, but the Duke was making her move to take over the kingdom for the Dark Goddess Vitaria. Now the Blue Dagger society would have to fight on two fronts. They had to secure the kingdom before taking the fight to Vitaria.
The Duke wasn’t going to make things easy.
So The Blue Dagger Society would level up their skills. Grind for the best loot in the game and polish their rotations until they are locked in and ready to go. With Eternia’s help against Vitaria, they might just stand a chance.
New skills, epic loot, individual quests, and a hell of a lot of group content. Buckle up, buttercup, because the final battle for the kingdom is underway.
This final book in The Rise of the Grandmaster series is a solid home run as the authors knock that ball so far out of the park that someone’s windshield is about to get busted.
I have to say, however, that the ending caught me by surprise since the other segments of this story have each taken a full book. THIS volume addresses not just one or two storylines, but quite possibly as many as four, depending on how you count them. Moreover, this doesn’t even begin to address the numerous plot threads that are left dangling.
Plot threads and storylines aside, however, nothing in this feels rushed or forced. The entire thing moves along at a rapid pace, but it feels right for the action to accelerate the closer we get to the end. This is why I said it all fits and feels very organic, very “right.”
Nonetheless, even as I watched my percentage complete near 90%, I was still hoping to see a change of pace and the conclusion moved to a sixth book. Alas, ‘‘twas not to happen.
The ending, when it came, came as a highly predictable boss fight, but let’s face it, we’ve gotten to know these characters so well by now that there isn’t much they can do in a fight that we haven’t seen. That doesn’t make the final battle any less entertaining, and does nothing to detract from the excitement. There was some fairly shitty writing near the end, but I’m sure you, like the characters, will slog through it, so just ignore the smell and ENJOY!
Okay, before I rave about the book, I have to say one thing.... I wanna read the expansion pack!!!!!! Okay, now...this book was fantastic. The entire series is great. I am not generally a LitRPG kind of girl, but they kept the mechanics very unobtrusive. If you like sword and sorcery, mixed with humour, these are the books for you. Read them! Now! What are you waiting for?!
The Blue Dagger Society kicks butt. These books are full of action, humor and epic battles against the big bosses and their minions. The team works well together as they become like a family and go after evil in the kingdom. I hope there are more books planned for this series as they are well worth the read.
Can’t wait for the Martian invasion hinted at in this book, should be great .🤪. This was a really fun series. I hope there are more books that follow these characters adventures. I really enjoyed the action, magic, adventure, etc in this series. I definitely recommend it.
