Hmmm. Quite a different version of Peter Pan! I have never thought of that particular story being so sexual! But well, this version is!

Quick little read!

An alternative take on Peter Pan and The Lost Boys. This was a very short little story (less than an hour) but, as usual from Emery LeeAnn, a lot has been packed in. I really liked the story but would have liked it to be longer.

In this retelling of Peter Pan, Tobias and the team seek to free the fairies enslaved by Captain Hook, but Tobias also has a personal stake in the success of their mission.

“All the memories of the past were making me jittery. I need to hunt.”

Narrated in multiple POV, Tobias has strong ties to Neverland and his background makes him quite interesting and valuable to the Lost Boys. The personalities of Peter, Wendy, Tink and Rel added to the dynamic with surprising twists.

In this short story, the action was constant and quick paced. Given what occurs, there is much that could be explored into a longer book with deeper character development. Though I was left wanting more, I still enjoyed this book with its unique elements.

Lost Boy is a dark retelling of Peter Pan. This novella would appeal to those seeking a quick fantasy read with MM elements.

Genre: Fantasy
Type: Standale short story from Happily Never After series
POV: First Person- Multiple
Rating:
3.75 stars

Neverland had always been a refuge for the Lost Boys, but the one hailed as a hero was nothing but that. Tobias knew the truth because he recognized the same darkness within.

He was a tortured soul, and I desperately wanted to soothe it for him. If only he would just give me a chance.

There was no lull in the story. However, there were too many things crammed in for something so short that they didn’t get enough depth. Despite this, I enjoyed the characters and the overall story.

Lost Boy is a story of embracing inner darkness. It would appeal to readers who enjoy short, dark reimagining of Peter Pan.

Nope Horrible 👎

This is just bad writing. The storyline is juvenile. Like a teen trying to write about things she knows nothing about, he just uses the right dirty words. There is no soul to this. There is no heart in this. It doesn't feel like the author cares at all. Disappointed does begin to do justice to how I feel about this.
How do I get refunded for the time wasted in reading this drivel?

I wish there was more. I feel like I would have ADORED this had there been more to it. Being short I figured it would get right into things and be short and steamy. But it felt a little complicated for as short as it was. There was a lot there that needed fleshed out.

BUT I enjoyed the characters a lot!

Emery Emery…EM..ERY….how do you take the things that I loved as a child and make me obsessed when I am an adult???

Lost Boy is a twisted version of Peter Pan. A dark version. Perfect for what I love to read as an adult.

It is short and to the point but an amazing story nonetheless.

Emery please give me more ma’am….please.

This is part of the Happily Never After collection the author has released. All short, deranged versions of our childhood faves.

Read Responisbly.

Fairy Dust

Such a great story, and a great twist on one of the best children's books of all time. The fight between good and evil and how this tale ends. The evil captain and the land of the lost boys, who wins? You have to read it to find out.

The Peter Pan you think you know isn't the good guy. But that is secondary in this story, since this is about one of the Lost Boys. I love her twisted take on this classic. There is also a little bit of MM action if you want a little heat to go along with these dark deeds.

Lost Boys Found

Definitely not a Disney movie . A dark tale of desire , hate and criminal injustices that could never be a bedtime story . I loved it !! A great show of the authors twisted imagination. 💛

Peter Pan like you never dreamt

Emery LeeAnn's telling of Peter Pan is quick, brutal and to the point. However, the gasps you're left with tell every reader after you just how intense this book really is.
