Never Tomorrow is one of those mysteries that make the reader twitch and look over a shoulder while reading. It’s Whitney’s story, the daughter of the first victim in this troubling story of the investigation of a serial killer still at work. As a journalist, Whitney is in a prime seat of power to search for clues, with or without the cooperation of the small town police chief, who is on her side and not too proud to quietly accept help, as long as she stays on her side of the fence and doesn’t get herself killed too. Which is likely the deeper she digs.
Rolfs, a therapist, has created a large cast with multiple layers of personal issues that have you chasing down well-trampled bunny trails while the killer stares you in the face the entire time. While well-populated, each character has his or her own quirks and story line that keep them separated, even if you dare to put the book down for a day. Told in multiple viewpoints, sometimes a single time from a particular character, the reader is held at chilling arm’s length as the killer calmly presents the reasons behind the murder even as you get an inkling of what might be coming. Some repeated use of titles and full names and repetitious scenarios either heighten tension or slow the action depending on reader preference. For those who like a story laced with all the right reasons to live no matter who endangers your life.

This story is GOOD! No, it is not good, it is BRILLIANT and AMAZING. It kept me on my toes with all the twists and turns. The knowledge and wisdom that the author drops about relationships is refreshing. And the mystery was superior and it kept me wondering about the murderer. I wanted to know who caused this person so much pain and sorrow that they think murder is the only option.
The book ministered to me in so many ways through the character of Dr. Sarah that I often found myself saye "Yes, that is so true". Isn't this what Christian fiction is suppose to do? Minister to your soul in some form or fashion. Dr. Sarah is the counselor everyone needs. I love how she knew that God plays a major part when it comes to counseling.
I highly recommend this book.

Wow – what a fascinating multi-layered suspense. I feared at first I couldn’t keep the variety of characters in this novel sorted out, but the writing is so superb, I had no problem.
The characters were extremely well crafted and the setting of the story intriguing. I could feel the bite of the cold March wind drifting up from the lake and picture the cliffs of Ireland and their deadly drop. The angst in my chest grew at each new development in the story.
Just when I thought I had the plot figured out – I discovered I didn’t. I read the last few chapters quickly because I sensed there would be one more murder before it was all over. Well Done, Ms. Rolfs; hope there will be more.

Never saw it coming!
Whitney's mother was killed while vacationing in Ireland. It was made to look like suicide but Whitney knew her mother wouldn't have killed herself. Now Whitney is a reporter, investigating other suposseed suicides.
This was a fantastic read. I never saw whodunit until the end.
