A great book with a very important message!

How did humans destroy the Earth? What can we do to change this? Will we ever learn from our mistakes?

This book looks at these questions. It's set in the (at the time it was as written) future and its a mix of sci-fi and nature conservation appeal. The author created a few new technologies, which aren't that far off nowadays.

The story appeals to people to take better care of our planet and the animals we share it with. And although this book is now 25 years old the message is still very up-to-date.

I enjoyed the read, the characters are loveable (both human and animal characters) and you feel with them.
I can highly recommend this book!

Although this book is said to be the fourth in the "Irmchen" series, you can read it without knowing the other three books.
