Charlie and the gang close out a case about a cheating spouse (which brings its own set of problems), when they are hired by a restauranteur friend of Celest.
He wants to hire them to find an expensive mushroom that was stolen from his restaurant.
He had won a bid by paying 6 figures for it.
He has the burglars on video, and with Brad's help, charlie's brother, they are able to identify the guilty party and eventually confront them.
As usual, with Charlie's luck, they may not all survive the encounter with their lives, or at least some injury.
This was another fun story from the ladies of CMC, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

This book starts out with a bang and things just keep getting better! A family friend of Celeste, and restaurant owner, Alessandro Bianchi hires the trio to find his truffle which has gone missing. What’s that you say? A two pound mushroom that he paid about $100,000 for? And Alessandro wants Charlie, Marge and Celeste to find it before it goes bad – which is a week at most. Easy peasy! The good news is that there is security camera footage of the break-in. The bad news is three clowns are caught on camera going into the restaurant – with the intention of stealing the truffle. And this adds a second problem, Marge is deathly afraid of clowns! Clues abound as well as murder, a wild melee with the clowns and a large crowd cheering for the clowns, and the trio being abducted by the clowns. Will they be able to save themselves? Will they find the truffle in time? Join Charlie and friends in this wild adventure – you won’t be able to put this book down!

Charlie Cooper and her team are hard at work. Their new case is time sensitive and unusual. They are looking for a valuable truffle that was stolen from Chef Alessandro's restaurant by three baggy pants clowns. The case takes a dangerous turn when Charlie discover a body. This murder changes everything. Can Charlie and her team save the truffle? Can Marge conquer her fear of clowns? I had to know the answer to these questions. I couldn't stop reading. I liked this cozy mystery. It's fast paced and has some unexpected twists as well as a touch of romance. I enjoy all the characters. They are so full of life and their sassy dialogue makes me smile. To be honest I was surprised by the ending. It was unexpected. I always enjoy the writing of Deany Ray. Truffled is a quick read and a great addition to this series. I can't wait for Charlie's next adventure.

This is a very funny cozy about 3 friends, turned private investigators. As they close out one case, they get a new one that has a definite clock ticking. Someone has stolen a very valuable truffle and of course, it won't be tasty forever. Finding a body early into the investigation certainly complicates the investigation.
The 3 partners get themselves into trouble, but the talents of Charlie's brother help them to move forward with the case. Charlie's boyfriend is also officially working the case for the police department.
You're sure to laugh as these young women stumble from one situation to the next.
I think readers from young adult and up would enjoy this book.

There's always plenty of fun with the CMC team! This time they're on the hunt for a truffle thief! Yes, that's right, a truffle - the kind you grate on your pasta!
As always, the girls seem to be falling into another misadventure, but the fun is in watching them pull the pieces together. Ray has an engaging crew here, the plotline is jam-packed with misadventure, but they somehow get the bad guy in the end.
A quick, fun read; this is a great addition to the Charlie Cooper Mysteries series - don't miss it!

CMC is at it again! This time Charlie, Marge, and Celeste are chasing down a stolen truffle worth thousands. As usual, the three women are unafraid and ruthless...as long as Marge doesn't hear the word CLOWN. Too bad the crime centers around a trio of clowns!
Wonderful characters and so many laughs. A mystery with an ending that caught me by surprise. Charlie's family is a constant source of fun and surprises! And there's even some sweet romance! What else could you want in a book? Pretty close to perfection! As always, I am ready for the next one in the series!

Another wonderful cozy mystery
Charlie & her cohorts once again find themselves knee deep in trouble. Out to solve a missing expensive truffle ends them once again involved in solving a murder. They'll have you in stitches at some of their tactics.
Charlie & A!ex ending up on another case together will get your emotions going too. Thanks for such a great series.

I received an ARC of this book. I really enjoyed this story. Charlie Cooper and her friends are fun and even though they're working to solve a mystery, there's never a dull moment! Plenty of unexpected twists kept this story moving right along. Can't wait for the next book in the series!

loved this book! a real page turner that captured me on the first page! lots of twists and turns, interesting, complex and quirky characters and a fun story line. A must read!

Honestly, disappointed, no proposal. Last book, there should have been a proposal! Book was good but I'm so disappointed!
