This book may be goofy, but some moments, as I was reading through this, were actually exactly what I needed to hear. In other words, never underestimate the power of a book.
I love Star Wars and Obi-Wan, so this was such a little joy to read. I will be taking this with me when I move for my new job lol.
The Be More…. series that focuses on different Star Wars characters contains a total of 6 books. Each book focuses on a specific character and uses that characters story to teach how we should handle our own life situations. The focus of this one is Obi-Wan, but I feel it deviates from its course a bit. It doesn’t stay focused on Obi-Wan the whole way through, but it’s still a very good read with good information. I slightly enjoyed this one the most so far.
My first experience with the Star Wars Be More series is just what I expected, a fun little self-help book with Star Wars humour thrown in for good measure.
The book is divided into five chapters with each containing five mages with a title line followed by a small paragraph. Even the tragedies of Obi-Wan's life are made fun of through bits of wisdom and quotes from the various characters dispersed throughout each page of the different chapters.
It was a short and enjoyable read. Any fan of Star Wars will surely love to revisit these pieces from the past history of the Star Wars universe and the unique sense of humour present throughout the texts is always sure to cater to the taste of the fans of the series. The choice of the dialogues picked were also top notch and right on point.
There were many screenshots from both the live action and animated features from the Star Wars franchise. I just wish there were a few illustrations present, which would have made me enjoy this even more.
4 out of 5 stars from me, for this short little title.
Sweet and cute and a pleasant little diversion. That said, I'd say this is the blandest and most innocuous of the "Be More" series of Lucasverse books. Kenobi -- especially in the wake of his eponymous Disney TV series -- deserves much more.
A cute fast read especially for Star Wars fans, but even for those who just need a few 'quick pick-me-ups'. The book is divided into 5 chapters, each with 5 motivations. Some are pretty funny, quirky, and sarcastic with references to certain characters. All are accompanied by a memorable Jedi quote (majority from Obi-Wan) and picture from one of the movies.
One of the first of the ‘Be more…’ series from a different author. Still just as fun. The same concept and format. Again capturing the mindset of the character. Truly believable that Obi Wan would take this view if he was your therapist!
Good spread of eras in the photos. Not exactly Obi-Wan specific though. Lots of little Star Wars jokes in the text for those in the know (would read just fine if you didn’t get the jokes though). Not entirely sure who the target audience is for.
This self-help book frames things so that it is “what would Obi-Wan do?” (wwod) Has some good advice and going to see if it help my class become more Obi-Wan.

While I haven’t seen any Star Wars , I have always heard references. My boss is a huge Star Wars fan and quotes some of the stuff . When I read this book it reminded me of those coaching sessions during a tough project that was under my care .
It’s a good referesher . I will now really try and see the series that has inspired many
