This book was positively life-changing. I can safely say that I am no longer the man I once was, all thanks to this book.
Upon me opening this book, the pages were suddenly awash in a blinding, bright light, and our Lord and Slayvior Harry Edward Styles sprung from them in a dazzling cloud of incomparable majesty. There he hovered in the air, merely feet from me, dressed in billowing, bedazzled robes, as he slowly descended to the ground with his arms outstretched towards me. With a smile on his face, he said to me, "You know you're not the same as you was," and he extended his hand, and I took it.
Into the night sky he carried me away, and I felt nothing but pure and unbridled bliss. We flew like a comet, trailing behind kindness and positive vibes in our wake as we gazed down at the world below, swimming out in all directions, and it wasn't until then that I truly considered the scope of the wonderful world we live in. My outlook had entirely changed in a moment. To think, all those people down there, the expansiveness of our planet, and I hadn't bothered to consider any of it.
We alighted by the ocean, in the soft, sparkling sand. He looked towards me in that moment, his eyes gleaming in the pale moonlight, and he let go of my hand. I watched, almost in mourning, as he waded into the ocean, the gentle waves of the shore breaking over his legs. He walked on until he was no more, until the deep, churring waters swallowed him whole, and I was left alone in the sand. Without his presence, I felt hollow. But I knew he had to leave me. He had to. If he hadn't, no one else would ever be able to know what I now know. Feel what I now feel. He had a mission.
And I couldn't bear to prevent him from completing it.
Another cute little book from the “Be More…” series, although I’ve only seen the one about Taylor Swift I imagine there are more like this. I like Harry Styles although I’m also not his biggest fan probably. Still, these books are more like a novelty item and make a great gift - which is why I bought it, but of course I read it first, it’s short enough to be read in one sitting.
I think any message about being kinder and more open is awesome, even if it’s as corny as this book. Recommended for any big or even casual Harry Styles fan.
This is a cute little book. It’s not bad but I feel like I was expecting more from it then what it was … I don’t know. It might have just been my reading experience of it that threw it off for me. I flipped through a few pages before going to work over several days rather than sitting down and enjoying it. But, the author/s did a great job pointing out things and traits that Harry exhibits and it was cute. My reading experience was just a bit thrown off 😅.
Satu Hämeenaho-Fox is a writer, editor, pop culture fan and theorist. This self-help book, featuring bright and cheerful illustrations by Nastka Drabot, uses Harry Styles (including his work and things he has said) to set out some guidelines for how to live your life. There was nothing here that I disagreed with and if you know someone who is into Styles, then this is a fun, fannish book for them to check out.
I got this for a friend and chose to read it before gifting. It’s very sweet and positive! The fans who created this did a great job crafting advice for a kind, creative, positive lifestyle. I just might need to get my own copy so I can reflect on it more often!
